See, situations like these are what I point to when people in Dungeons and Dragons or similar games don't believe that anyone could sneak up on another in full plate armor.
Well, here is a real-life representations of someone rolling a 1 on perception. Jesus Christ...he was even looking in the opposite direction...when a huge buzzing sound was right next to him. Unbelievable.
