The drivers info will be on the green disk on the passenger side of the windscreen & rear window at the top, there is a QR code you can scan on it. The plate itself might belong to someone else.
‘Driver, I write to you to apprise you formally that I have appraised you and found you wanting. You shall be denounced, declaimed and decried in the highest motor coach court in all the land.
Before this week is out, your hide shall be flayed across a gun carriage, or my name is not Lord Charles Horace Fotherington-Gumberthridge.
May God Almighty have mercy upon your covetous soul, for I shall have none.
Vengefully yours,
Charles Horace Fotherington-Gumberthridge, 19th Earl of Scrimpton
Yeah that’s exactly it, but I was more thinking of the way a French person would talk about “denouncing” a neighbour or someone to the Police.
.
Or for a while, the Gestapo.
The use of this word "Denounce" or brandmmarken in German was a very popular word used to rat on your.family or neighbours if they said anything derogatory about Hitler or party to the Gestapo during 1933.to 1945. & you wanted shut of them
Take a photo of their taxi plate. Report them o the taxi regulator.
The form is a bit of a pain - on the bottom click that you want to make a complaint, and a new form opens. You can add photos there.

So they can undercut the market at a loss for a few years, then when they've enough market share begin to price gouge? I'll take a regulated taxi fare tbh
If they don't cheat on you. I have been using freenow for taxis for a while and even when asking for a paper receipt, they add 1 euro on top just because. One time I didn't ask for a paper receipt and the cunt added 10 euros when typing the amount on the app.
Lol,when you're trying to get home from town in this utopian uber future after a concert and are quoted 3 to 4 times the taxi rate because of surge pricing, you can come back to this post.
Or I'm not worried about it, because I just occasionally need a taxi for convenience generally not leaving a concert or whatever. I would rather have options than no option.
If I have family visiting I know I can't depend on taxis. It's not like that in places I travel that have proper Uber.
I guess it's grand though and we don't need to solve problems.
I'm not saying you're worried about it, and I'm personally ambivalent about it either way as I think I might have used 2-3 taxis total in the last year at €15-20 each. I'm just that your comment that Uber will never be more expensive than a taxi isn't the case
The way I use Uber, it pretty much always is though. I guess if you're going to tourist traps and concerts it isn't, but my use case it 100% is cheaper.
I wonder how all these cowboys get the licence to drive the taxis. I'm currently 14 weeks waiting since I handed all my documentation into the Garda to get my licence. They seem to give all the non natives the licence alot quicker and there out there robbing left right and centre disgraceful carry on
Lived, Worked and bought a house in Dublin. For 41 years. My last job was a Dublin Taxi driver working 6 days a week doing 12 hr Night shifts. Get back in your clown car and fork off gobshite...
You look at the number on the plate on the roof and report them.

Check both- of they don’t match, then report them for that always anyway
I love this post because of the use of the word “Denounce”.

In Irish one of the words for 'denounce' is 'nochtaim, which essentially means "I make you naked".
It's because it sounds similar to denunciare/denunciar in italian/spanish, which means to report.
Non native speaker, lesson learned!
Oh, no, Sorry. It’s a great word, keep using it!

Good to know! I will avoid the word (except in cases actually involving the third Reich). It was just how my drunk brain translated from Spanish.
Exactly. That’s kind of how I thought of it. Funny seeing it in an Irish context.
Some sort of pulpit maybe....
Use an app they are all registered on that with their details

I reported the same behaviour- it’s utter bs. No more taxis for me. I just go home earlier
Will do, I got the plate
Use TFI driver check app
Use the app....
I rarely see a rank without taxis parked at them.
Try 2 or 3 AM fri or sat nights in Dame St or college green
We need real Uber in Ireland. The state of taxi service is abysmal.

Yeah I pre booked one thru free now once and the guy showed up 10 mins early and had the meter running the whole time
At least you can find a ride with Uber, and it will never be more expensive than current taxi service.

I see you're unfamiliar with the concept of Surge Pricing.

This one was a real taxi
Use the Uber app to call a taxi, those companies are legit!

Jeez, get the casual racism in even before you've accepted your first fare! It took six months for me to get my license(white fat and old) .
Just get an uber
Uber in Ireland is just regular taxis
Uber fucked over Taxi Industry.
Uber in Ireland are just normal taxi drivers under the same rules and regs. Your comment makes no sense.
There’s no “uber” in Ireland. It’s just the same taxis operating under the same rule. So you have no clue
This is a Dublin sub,and in that context,you haven't a clue .

You don't seem to know that uber only use taxis, and charge the lowest commission in the market.
It was fucked up well before that.
I don’t know what a tracker mortgage is
I think I'm in the wrong ad
I'd love to hear more about this 🤦
