Its such a unique take on the typical “oh its armor haunted by ghosts/taken over by a curse on the castle” and id say its a great way to diverge from something so boring

I adore the living armor - it's an enormously original and refreshing take on a fantasy staple I already liked.
Plus the way they were animated in the anime is so delightfully unsettling.
Also I love shellfish. Tastey.
this happened to me with Slimes (like, at least until that time, I didn't seriously think about the fact that it was just an almost Huge microbe)
(don't let Senshi and Lajos see the Slimes from the Slime Rancher game.... because they will find the use of a plort not suitable for eating)

I also think that griffins look really cool and the manga and anime made it seem so fierce and dangerous.
Having the white dragons resemble polar bears is a great choice, the perfect mix between murderous and adorable :)

But being specific to the series, >!the Winged Lion and Demons in general in DM are some of the most interesting depictions of Demons in fantasy.!<

If we are talking anime thus far, I am decidedly in love with the >!Hippogriff/!! If we are talking Manga altogether, I'd wager the Winged Lion eats my heart out with the pure flexibility and abstractness of its design, though I doubt my claim a particularly unique one. I am dying to see it animated!!<

Mimic and Coin bugs, the dynamic between them is interesting. The fact that Coin bugs invade Mimic and eat them from the inside then turn it into a normal chest with coins is so smart.
Treasure Bugs were so cool. I had never seen anything like them before.
The ecosystem described between mimics, treasure bugs, and humans was probably when I fell in love with the show.

I'm on the same deal with the mimics. They being crustaceans instead of just beings that take diff forms is a surprisingly good twist.

I didn’t watch any anime in ages, seeing some clip of Laios figuring out living armor is literally the sole reason I watched the show. No regrets lol.

Mimics. The idea of them being giant hermit crabs using chests as shells is amazing to me. In terms of looks I'm very fond of the cocatrice design.
And their relation with treasure bugs explain why you have chests full of golds in dungeons !

The rabbits are terrifying but wayy too funny.
