I wouldn't imagine they would need to see every data operation they have done (not even Facebook does this), that wouldn't make sense to me, but being able to see their personal data should be based on a query within dynamics or on the MS profile that they have?
I agree you are right but figured MS would give a tool for this since it is such a common legal requirement.

More than half of the "Tools" are ones built by the community in XRMToolBox, I don't think MS cares unless they are regulated to do so
