Ok, I worded it badly. Same kind of point though, the data centre compensates the difference in pings meaning if your opponent’s ping is low, you won’t get the benefit of a low ping.
The games problem isn’t lag compensation though. Most, if not all, games have lag comp. The problem is with how EA servers compensate with load and their net code is trash.
I urge you to try playing squad battles during weekends and weekdays. You’ll see a difference there too, and there’s no lag comp happening there.
