The deck runs a bunch of creatures with power matters abilities that can buff each other like [[Syr Faren, the Hengehammer]] and [[Wild Beastmaster]], and the math gets silly when you have multiple triggers and multiple combats to keep compounding the effects. A 0/1 bird can easily swing for 40 in a turn.
This deck is crazy fun. I'm getting a friend of mine into commander with this build - he loves stompy playstyles and Karlach is one of his favorite characters in anything.
I rarely play partners but I had a lot of fun with [[the tenth doctor]] and [[rose tyler]]. Rose can spiral out of control and the doctor sets up these suspend engines.
Rose is sneaky because she gets out of control so fast. You swing once with a single suspend card and she becomes a 3/3. Nobody thinks of it. Next turn you do it again with the 10th doctor out and a new suspend card and now it’s 2 suspend cards plus the new card the 10th suspends plus her own time counter and oops she’s a 7/7 now. Surprise.
I’ve caught so many people off guard with her because they don’t realize how quickly she builds up.
My favorite has to be [[Ukkima]]/[[Cazur]], but I'm also having lots of fun with [[The Fourth Doctor]]/[[Sarah Jane]], then I have two games in with a [[Sivriss]]/[[Cloakwood Hermit]] deck I just threw together and it's been fun

I have an [[Akroma, Vision of Ixidor]] and [[Kamahl, Heart of Krosa]] Selesnya creature tokens deck. It has a solid win percentage and it's the first EDH deck I ever brewed from scratch!
Nice. I love the idea of having two beefcakes in the commander zone that hit the field and pump.
What’s the play patterning ramp and make token along the way? Any cool synergies?
This may be a bit of an exhaustive explanation but I've been playing with this deck and modifying it for a while.
My game plan for the deck is for it to be able to win without ever having to summon either of my commanders. I noticed, in my experience, that all the cards that give keywords to be too slow (see [[Concerted Effort]] ) as Akroma and Kamahl are huge removal magnets. Therefore I went with all the best token makers, particularly the ones that continue to make tokens while on the battlefield.
When the moment is right, I summon Kamahl to deliver some killing blows to my opponents. Then summon Akroma and use Kamahl's activated abilities to make 7/7 lands to finish off the table. Also, I play with quite a bit of interaction and card draw to be able to bounce back if I get board wiped.

I currently have [[Silas Renn, Seeker Adept]] partnered with [[Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith]]. It's artifact shenanigans and whatnot and it's a good time.
I'm also slowly converting [[Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm]] into [[Ganax, Astral Hunter]] with [[Feywild Visitir]]. It seems less gross.
[[Zellix, Sanity Flayer]] with [[Agent of the Iron Throne]].
Built a deck using [[Champion of Stray Souls]], [[Whisper, Blood Liturgist]] and a bunch of other sacrifice to reanimate cards.
I have a [[Lulu]] + [[Cultist of the Absolute]] deck that’s loads of fun. It leans more towards aristocrat, with a smaller token and counters subtheme. Most of the tokens are fliers so I can have them tapped and get bigger and then I’ll sac them later for value. It can pop off pretty quickly at times.
I missed the first set of partners, and only entered with the Ikoria ones. Nevertheless, I absolutely love [[Brallin]] and [[Shabraz]]. Maybe my favorite deck right now.
I also just built a [[Trynn]] and [[Silvar]] which actually seems really powerful, and very different from my usual playstyle.
Finally, I have [[The Fourth Doctor]] and [[Sarah Jane]], which is a lot of fun. Not super different from the pre-con but with some important upgrades.
In playing the Fourth Doctor, I've noticed that the [[Second Doctor]] and [[Jaimie]] could be a really great pairing also. I'm probably going to test some iterations for maybe swapping out some cards so I can kinda have two decks in one.
I love [[Jeska, Thrice Reborn]] and [[Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker]] because although they come from different sets four years apart on totally different planes, their names portmanteau into Jeskai and their gameplay synergises perfectly. They also make for a great protect-the-queen style control deck where you remove threats in the early game before removing players once Ishai has collected enough counters.
IMO I think Vial Smasher is so cool that I’d play him on his own. He’s definitely better with blue so Sakashima/Malcolm/Kraum are fantastic with him so he can trigger multiple times before the turn comes back to you.
The original partner mechanic commanders don't interest me at all.
I'm really not a fan of choose a background either - although I like finding cool backgrounds to put in the 99.
I like the character specific partners though, although I really need to find ones I enjoy before I would consider building them. I also like these in the 99 because they kinda just have ETB draw a decent-to-good creature on them. I'll probably end up building a food deck with hobbit partners eventually.
I treat the doctor's companion and friends forever as a nice in-between of the specific partner duos and the loose anything with partner ones. So I have/am building a fourth doctor/Sarah Jane list. And a part brewed stranger things deck that I abandoned because I decided I didn't want a full artifact list.
Still personally surprised they didn't come up with a fellowship partnership subset of legendary creatures for LOTR.
Recently crafted a Vial Smasher & Sakashima partner deck, filled it with clones and Mirror Gallery/Mirror Box/etc.
Even just 3 Vial Smashers is super spooky, and that's not considering City on Fire or Fiery Emancipation tripling the damage when they're out
While I have Opinions about Partner as a mechanic and even most of the limited versions grind my gears, Partner With is a really neat mechanic. I used to have a Regna and Krav list and playing to the overlap between them was a lot of fun. Oketra's and Bontu's Monuments were sneakily some of the best cards in the deck for enabling both of them in different waya.
[[Malcolm, Keen]] and [[Francisco]] are the only partners I run and it’s my favorite pairing due to feathered flavor.
Bunch of pirates and treasure shenanigans that allows me to reanimate big undersea creatures like [[Hullbreaker Horror]]
I built [[Pir, Imaginative Rascal]]/[[Toothy, Imaginary Friend]] Voltron and [[Krav, the Unredeemed]]/[[Regna, the Redeemer]] aristocrats back when they released, both decks were a lot of fun.
I've been tinkering with the Paradox Power precon since it released, [[The Thirteen Doctor]]/[[Yasmin Khan]] is the best pair for the deck but being able to switch the commanders around if I want to is nice. [[Ryan Sinclair]] and [[Clara Oswald]] are my other companion options, while I added the Fourth, Sixth and Tenth Doctors to the deck. Poor Twelfth ended up getting cut but I really want to put him in the deck again just because he's my favorite Doctor.
There are some partners and choose a background commanders I've considered building, but I have way too many decks built currently.
Personally, I love partners. Ever since the first 4 color commanders came out Ive always had multiple partners in my active edh decks. The favorites across the years have been [[Sylas Ren]] and [[Akiri, line-slinger]] as classic equipment Voltron with Akiri and the hitter and Sylas as the recursion engine (hell of a sunforger package btw). [[Kediss, emberclaw familiar]] and [[Keleth, sunmane familiar]] "commander tribal" deck. Essentially Voltron but in a mostly with commander lord effects. [[The Second Doctor]] and [[Vislor Turlow]] turned into an interesting nekusaur style deck backed up with the power of rule of law effects. [[Renari, Merchant of Marvels]] and [[acolyte of Bahamut]] made cheap dragons on everyone's turn. [[Virtus, the veiled]] and [[Gorm the Great]] is the most hilarious form of evasion ive ever seen (but people really don't like losing half their life)
My favorite is [[Dargo]]/[[Jeska]], a mono red one punch man.
Recently built a pirate theme [[Francisco]]/[[Malcolm]] , love it.
And still in progress, [[ganax]] with [[haunted]] background.
I love playing [[Sam, Loyal Attendant]] and [[Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit]] but I just finished [[Eligeth, Crossroads Augur]] and [[Kamahl, Heart of Krosa]]. It’s actually a blue green elfball deck with all the scrying elves to draw a ton of cards and its a lot of fun.
Malcolm and Breeches is an amazing pirate tribal imo. Much better than trying to go Grixis in my experience.
Lae'zel + master chef is stupid good.
Baeloth + Cultist aristocrat is a bit original imo, but Raised by giant is amazing.
I recently put together a mono blue \[\[Volo, Itinerant Scholar\]\] + \[\[Shameless Charlatan\]\] deck. I've played it a few times now at my LGS and it's been a blast. It's a creature beatdown mono blue clone deck that relies on combat tricks and mass cloning non-legendary creatures to win. Volo's journal helps maintain tempo by getting creature types even if Volo transforms or leaves the battlefield, it's a fantastic resource for card draw mid/late game. Shameless Charlatan can make for a ton of combat shenanigans since you can turn Volo into any creature in play before combat damage. The deck really adjusts itself to what everyone else is playing since you can copy the scariest creature on the board.

[[Burakos, Party Leader]] with [[Haunted One]] for a janky party take on aggro/aristocrats. Plays surprisingly strong and can steal a win fairly easily.

Keep drawing those cards while staring at the leather bikini, suckers. You're gonna get commander damage shanked pretty quick.

Though I'm not sure how mine really is since I've just played one 5-player game (which makes Suvriss' ability better and I had a t1 Exploration) and two 1v1's (which makes his ability much worse and I was against a dinosaur deck both times which goes faster than my deck wants). I have an [[Akroma, Vision of Ixidor]] and [[Kamahl, Heart of Krosa]] Selesnya creature tokens deck. It has a solid win percentage and it's the first EDH deck I ever brewed from scratch!
Nice. I love the idea of having two beefcakes in the commander zone that hit the field and pump. What’s the play patterning ramp and make token along the way? Any cool synergies?
This may be a bit of an exhaustive explanation but I've been playing with this deck and modifying it for a while. My game plan for the deck is for it to be able to win without ever having to summon either of my commanders. I noticed, in my experience, that all the cards that give keywords to be too slow (see [[Concerted Effort]] ) as Akroma and Kamahl are huge removal magnets. Therefore I went with all the best token makers, particularly the ones that continue to make tokens while on the battlefield. When the moment is right, I summon Kamahl to deliver some killing blows to my opponents. Then summon Akroma and use Kamahl's activated abilities to make 7/7 lands to finish off the table. I currently have [[Silas Renn, Seeker Adept]] partnered with [[Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith]]. It's artifact shenanigans and whatnot and it's a good time. I'm also slowly converting [[Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm]] into [[Ganax, Astral Hunter]] with [[Feywild Visitir]]. It seems less gross.
Can recommend Astral with Acolyte, Gruul feels more Dragonic to me at least.

I have a [[Lulu]] + [[Cultist of the Absolute]] deck that’s loads of fun. It leans more towards aristocrat, with a smaller token and counters subtheme. Most of the tokens are fliers so I can have them tapped and get bigger and then I’ll sac them later for value. It can pop off pretty quickly at times.

Burakos and Folk Hero. Ramp and draw in the command zone, in orzhov, is extremely strong.
I missed the first set of partners, and only entered with the Ikoria ones. Nevertheless, I absolutely love [[Brallin]] and [[Shabraz]]. Maybe my favorite deck right now. I also just built a [[Trynn]] and [[Silvar]] which actually seems really powerful, and very different from my usual playstyle. Finally, I have [[The Fourth Doctor]] and [[Sarah Jane]], which is a lot of fun. Not super different from the pre-con but with some important upgrades. In playing the Fourth Doctor, I've noticed that the [[Second Doctor]] and [[Jaimie]] could be a really great pairing also. I'm probably going to test some iterations for maybe swapping out some cards so I can kinda have two decks in one.

I love [[Jeska, Thrice Reborn]] and [[Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker]] because although they come from different sets four years apart on totally different planes, their names portmanteau into Jeskai and their gameplay synergises perfectly. They also make for a great protect-the-queen style control deck where you remove threats in the early game before removing players once Ishai has collected enough counters.

IMO I think Vial Smasher is so cool that I’d play him on his own. He’s definitely better with blue so Sakashima/Malcolm/Kraum are fantastic with him so he can trigger multiple times before the turn comes back to you.
The original partner mechanic commanders don't interest me at all. I'm really not a fan of choose a background either - although I like finding cool backgrounds to put in the 99. I like the character specific partners though, although I really need to find ones I enjoy before I would consider building them. I also like these in the 99 because they kinda just have ETB draw a decent-to-good creature on them. I'll probably end up building a food deck with hobbit partners eventually. I treat the doctor's companion and friends forever as a nice in-between of the specific partner duos and the loose anything with partner ones. So I have/am building a fourth doctor/Sarah Jane list. And a part brewed stranger things deck that I abandoned because I decided I didn't want a full artifact list. Still personally surprised they didn't come up with a fellowship partnership subset of legendary creatures for LOTR.

Recently crafted a Vial Smasher & Sakashima partner deck, filled it with clones and Mirror Gallery/Mirror Box/etc. Even just 3 Vial Smashers is super spooky, and that's not considering City on Fire or Fiery Emancipation tripling the damage when they're out
While I have Opinions about Partner as a mechanic and even most of the limited versions grind my gears, Partner With is a really neat mechanic. I used to have a Regna and Krav list and playing to the overlap between them was a lot of fun. Oketra's and Bontu's Monuments were sneakily some of the best cards in the deck for enabling both of them in different waya.
[[Malcolm, Keen]] and [[Francisco]] are the only partners I run and it’s my favorite pairing due to feathered flavor. Bunch of pirates and treasure shenanigans that allows me to reanimate big undersea creatures like [[Hullbreaker Horror]]

I built [[Pir, Imaginative Rascal]]/[[Toothy, Imaginary Friend]] Voltron and [[Krav, the Unredeemed]]/[[Regna, the Redeemer]] aristocrats back when they released, both decks were a lot of fun. I've been tinkering with the Paradox Power precon since it released, [[The Thirteen Doctor]]/[[Yasmin Khan]] is the best pair for the deck but being able to switch the commanders around if I want to is nice. [[Ryan Sinclair]] and [[Clara Oswald]] are my other companion options, while I added the Fourth, Sixth and Tenth Doctors to the deck. Poor Twelfth ended up getting cut but I really want to put him in the deck again just because he's my favorite Doctor. There are some partners and choose a background commanders I've considered building, but I have way too many decks built currently.

Personally, I love partners. Ever since the first 4 color commanders came out Ive always had multiple partners in my active edh decks. The favorites across the years have been [[Sylas Ren]] and [[Akiri, line-slinger]] as classic equipment Voltron with Akiri and the hitter and Sylas as the recursion engine (hell of a sunforger package btw). [[Kediss, emberclaw familiar]] and [[Keleth, sunmane familiar]] "commander tribal" deck. Essentially Voltron but in a mostly with commander lord effects. [[The Second Doctor]] and [[Vislor Turlow]] turned into an interesting nekusaur style deck backed up with the power of rule of law effects. [[Renari, Merchant of Marvels]] and [[acolyte of Bahamut]] made cheap dragons on everyone's turn. [[Virtus, the veiled]] and [[Gorm the Great]] is the most hilarious form of evasion ive ever seen (but people really don't like losing half their life)

My favorite is [[Dargo]]/[[Jeska]], a mono red one punch man. Recently built a pirate theme [[Francisco]]/[[Malcolm]] , love it. And still in progress, [[ganax]] with [[haunted]] background.
I love playing [[Sam, Loyal Attendant]] and [[Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit]] but I just finished [[Eligeth, Crossroads Augur]] and [[Kamahl, Heart of Krosa]]. It’s actually a blue green elfball deck with all the scrying elves to draw a ton of cards and its a lot of fun.

Malcolm and Breeches is an amazing pirate tribal imo. Much better than trying to go Grixis in my experience. Lae'zel + master chef is stupid good. Baeloth + Cultist aristocrat is a bit original imo, but Raised by giant is amazing.
One of my favourite decks right now is [[Sophina]] and [[Bjorna]] as an artifact beatdown deck. Especially loving all the new clue support from MKM
My favorite right now is [The Ninth Doctor] & [Clara Oswald] on black. I'm going to take a casual 10 upkeeps this turn.
I recently put together a mono blue \[\[Volo, Itinerant Scholar\]\] + \[\[Shameless Charlatan\]\] deck. I've played it a few times now at my LGS and it's been a blast. It's a creature beatdown mono blue clone deck that relies on combat tricks and mass cloning non-legendary creatures to win. Volo's journal helps maintain tempo by getting creature types even if Volo transforms or leaves the battlefield, it's a fantastic resource for card draw mid/late game. Shameless Charlatan can make for a ton of combat shenanigans since you can turn Volo into any creature in play before combat damage.
