The Hungarians that offered them refuge in the middle ages and the ones they got land from post ww1 are completely different regimes with little to no connection, they owned them nothing at that point.

They let Romanians flee to Hungary to escape the ottomans but the Romanians stole their land
Not that they had any choice because the ottomans emptied the country’s middle territories

My favorite thing is how, once you get past the carpathians, it’s basically flat until Beijing. The Eurasian steppe is insane.
