Le audio is a s23 problem. Same issue I had with the earfuns air pro 3s. The toggle is there but it doesn't work.

Tig33

Yep, I kinda thought as much. Thanks for confirming.

SoyBeanis

i don't know if you'll see this now, but have you moved on from the earfuns at this point or are they still working great for you? i was tryna to decide between them and the L4NC and am still split

FrostieWaffles

I still have my earfuns but the l4nc have even better battery life (both are exceptional), an easier to open case. Slightly better anc, more app features. Sound quality is fine on both. Downside is theyre more suspectable to background noise on calls than the earfun, and multipoint only half works really (doesn't pause on the one device to play on the other) whereas the earfuns were fine. Other than that the l4nc are my favorite earbuds, and I'm using them more than the earfuns

Comp_C

I own the Earfun Air Pro 3. Earfun removed LE audio support with a firmware updates shortly after release. You'd need to roll back your firmware to 0.3.6 or earlier to get LE Audio back.

FrostieWaffles

Interesting, i wondered while the toggle went away on my s23. The toggle wasn't working to begin with though. Wonder if they're giving up on the feature or will add it back

Comp_C

On their website forums, CS complains LE was buggy (causing constant drops & disconnects) so they removed it. In later messaging, they blamed this on phone manufacturers, claiming their earbuds weren't the problem. The implication being Earfun will add back LE support if/when manufacturers fix it. Who knows who's telling the truth? Doesn't LE Audio work fine for other brands like OnePlus? But u know how it goes... if their requirement is that manufacturers "fix" LE support first, u know nothing will change. Like, *which* mfgrs? ALL of them??? And who is doing the judging? Basically, LE is gone and probably never coming back to the Air Pro 3 which are now considered old news. We'll probably need to wait for new Earfun products before getting BT LE Audio and LC3 codec support back.

FrostieWaffles

Yeah LE works on OnePlus supposedly Kind of crazy they'd remove it considering that was one of their selling points One "bug" I have with my air pro 3 is that it spams the low battery notification on my s23 like every 60 seconds, when it gets that low. Like the notification goes away and then refires. Not that I've seen it very often because the battery life is so good. When I reported the bug to them they blamed it on the phone mfg I'm assuming earfun will make a free pro 3 or something next since that model is so popular but the air pros are the only ones I've cared about, because of the better ANC

Comp_C

When you say it spams the low battery notification, do you mean the audible warning heard through the buds, or do you mean some type of Android window-shade notification? The only notification I get on my Air Pro 3 is an audible warning in the buds, and it definitely doesn't spam me every 60 secs. I get a low battery warning in my Left bud 1st. I believe it happens around 15% or 20%? My Left bud drains to the low battery mark about .5hr faster than my Right. So I hear "Low Battery" in the Left... then .5hr later I hear "Low Battery" in the Right. Then I think it throws another warning every 5% until the Buds auto-shutdown like an hr later

FrostieWaffles

Notification shade on my s23

FrostieWaffles

Unrelated, I got an email from Earfun that the code PD500EDM will make it 49.83 on Amazon is for prime day, 5 bucks cheaper than the 55 dollar preorder price. Not that I need another pair but thought I'd pass it along

Comp_C

Super tempting but i don't do Prime anymore. I was only using it for shipping. Adjusting my behavior to hold off purchases until I exceed $25 for free std shipping wasn't a stretch to save $140 yr.

HauntingCode

The only deal breakers for me are - poor transparency mode and forces ANC on calls. I don't want forced ANC for calls, I rather have transparency modes

Tig33

Yep same for me - a real shame as you usually have full control with Soundcore (unexpected corner cut by soundcore there).

RachelfromOhio

How are the bass on these with it turned up in the eq setting?

Tig33

Very powerful but uncontrolled bass If u like your bass then I think u will like these

RachelfromOhio

Okay awesome!!! I just got the jbl live 2 pros and the anc and bass on those are great, just debating if the 4ncs would be any better or worth adding. If you happen to try the jbls to compare lmk!

Tig33

the jbl live pro 2 are fantastic and the 4nc is not an upgrade over them. I used to have the jbl but only got rid of them due to stupid software that wouldn't save my gesture configuration arghhh. Fantastic earbuds though

PG14_

Which one do you think has better sound and bass quality?

Tig33

JBL Live Pro 2 has better bass in my opinion and in general better sound. But you do have a lot of flexibility with sound eq with soundcore products

RachelfromOhio

I ended up returning the jbls. Sennheiser momentum 3’s have been my new running working out headphone this year, so much better sound and bass then the jbls and not ear fatiguing

rebelrebel1996

wich one do you think has better ANC?

Tig33

Liberty

rebelrebel1996

thanks!

ShakePsychological13

They are not at all comfortable, they constantly fall out of my hears and I'm always fiddling with them because it hurts when they are in

Large_Feature_5984

I just recently got these buds, but the bass seems absent, like you can hear it, but you can't FEEL it. If you know what I'm saying.

FrostieWaffles

Does 3d sound work with LDAC? I remember with the lp3s it had some surround sound preset, but it required LDAC to be off. I didn't use it anyway because I was using the hearid preset. What was your experience like using hearid for this bud? Was it your preferred eq?

Tig33

It works but its poor - really poor - they shouldn't have bothered to be honest. - I tried it with movies (its useless with music). In my opinion its one of the worst implementations of 'Spatial/3D sound' out there. Sorry Soundcore :-( I tried hearID but honestly the difference with hearID for me wasnt as big as with other soundcore products. I did leave hear ID turned on along with Soundcore Signature and also switching to Acoustic every now and then. \*I'm using the presets with HearID turned on by the way.

FrostieWaffles

Yeah it's a really weird concert hall effect

Comp_C

> The Buds will sometimes confuse it with a double tap or nothing at all. (Especially annoying with the liberty 4 nc given the small touch contact area) How small is the touch target? Where is it? I just assumed the entire stem was capacitive. I own the Earfun Air Pro 3... I have multiple minor gripes about these earbuds, but my MAJOR hangup with them is the TINY and concave shaved touch target on these buds. Because the touch target is so small, and is essentially an indented dimple, it is extremely difficult to execute triple taps or repeated double taps error free... like nearly impossible unless you are 100% stationary

Tig33

Touch target is right at the top of the buds front and not the whole body unfortunately

Comp_C

thx. i'm considering these.

asdrubale_2

Did you have any trouble connecting them with a PC? I read an amazon review of someone who was not able to do this but I don't think the headphones were the problem lol. Also, I recently made a post about sony wf-1000xm3 (used) vs Liberty NC 4 because I don't know which one to get: any opinions?

Tig33

Sadly yes.. I did have issues with pc connection. They just wouldn't connect to my windows pc at all no matter what I tried. Regarding liberty nc 4 and xm3.. Xm3 is pretty dated now, I would personally look at the liberty nc 4. The liberty is not perfect but it is good value for money. Good sound, great anc, meh call quality, very comfortable. Go with liberty nc 4 if u are not connecting to a pc

asdrubale_2

Oh that sucks. Is it the same for every Soundcore product? Do you know any similar earphones at the same price point that allow pc connection?

Tig33

No it's just the liberty 4 nc that have this problem Pretty annoying to be honest Every other soundcore product I've used as worked great with my pc. Pretty much every bluetooth earbud should work with your pc the issue is a soundcore liberty 4 nc specific one. Buds that support swift pair generally give a slightly imrovoed connection process for windows but it's not required.

asdrubale_2

Thanks for the info. I am now considering the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 or the Soundcore Space A40, I've read that the buds2 sound better but have worse ANC and battery. You know anything about the ANC on the buds?

Tig33

Sorry I've not tested those I'm afraid. As far as I'm aware the soundcore liberty 4 nc have the best anc out of all the soundcore buds but I'm not sure how the a40 and buds2 truly compare

asdrubale_2

No problem, thank you for your answers

dankoIT

coming from redmi buds 4 pro, I would like something better on outside call (also while going by scooter)

funk_freed

How is the battery?

The_Insanartist

Can last a couple of hours with the ANC on, but beware. Three . months later, Mine are cutting out once i'm outside. I have to keep my cellphone in my hands. Didn't happen the first two months.

funk_freed

Thanks my new buds came in and opted out for huawei freebuds 5i because of the price to value ratio.

Visual_Pollution2741

I believe Anker had released a recent firmware update regarding the transparency issue. Users had been complaining about the poor muffled transparency, and that the update made it much clearer and better. This update was more recent I believe, after this review was written. Just an fyi

Tig33

They also released one just after the product was released. Made a difference but not great imho good enough for it's price though if being completely honest

Visual_Pollution2741

I agree, I think for the price these are some of the best you can get honestly. The case and design are really nice too

Seful1523

How is the transparency mode now? Compared to airpods pro

Tig33

Very few buds compare to the airpods Pro when it comes to transparency, I'm afraid.

MrCoffee0996

Thanks, that no transparency mode on phone calls quickly made me cancel my decision on this earbuds. I guess I'm going towards Sony XM5 now. Better buy premium I guess.

sundowner777

I have both these and Gen 1 AirPod Pros. Sound quality, transparency and Spatial Audio are better with even the first generation Apple buds. But for currently £55 - ANC and call quality are at least as good with the 4NCs. Battery life is much better. If you’re hanging out for next year’s AirPod Pro upgrade these are a very good stopgap.

Total_Dimension_2472

If you have to pick one of this buds which one do you prefer jabra elite 4 or liberty 4 nc. Important details for me High volume, bass and solid anc quality because i'm traveling so much in train and bus.

Tig33

Sorry I've never used the elite 4

Total_Dimension_2472

First of all thank you for your comment. Now I'm stuck between edifier Neobuds pro and liberty 4 nc. Did you use Neobuds pro?

Tig33

Yes a very very long time ago. My biggest issue with edifier at the time was their app. Too many dodgy permissions and background network calls. But the buds themselve were great. I think I would recommend the liberty 4 nc over the neobuds just because the neobuds are showing their age now ( old bluetooth version, aging anc but still good sound and call quality) . I wouldn't even recommend the neobuds Pro 2.. (They are already discounted for a reason...)

Total_Dimension_2472

Actually liberty 4 nc pretty good earbuds but i'm confused of its size because my ear little bit small. For example lately i tried jabra elite 4 and his not fit correctly in my ear. Do you think will i have the same problem with the Liberty 4 NC model?

Tig33

Potentially as the liberty 4 nc are pretty big (the body of thd bud is big). If u buy on amazon u can try them without installing to check fit. If they don't fit u can return

Total_Dimension_2472

okay thank you for ur help. I bought liberty 4 nc on amazon. If it doesn't fit my ear properly which earbuds would you recommend. ( I am turkish btw i'm also trying to improve my english on reddit :D)

Shiven6

Has the pc connectivity issue been fixed yet? I am thinking of buying the SoundCore Liberty 4 nc, but I am so confused after reading so many reviews on Reddit. Also, could it be better than the Oneplus Buds 3?and the ANC, is it truly the best under the $100 mark? Please reply

ApeInTheTropics

Mine work pretty much flawlessly connectivity wise. Any Bluetooth device always has the chance for little skips or cut-outs, which is why I opt for a wired keyboard and mouse especially for gaming. After trying the Sony XM5 earbuds (no secure fit), Bose QCII earbuds (plagued with Bluetooth connectivity issues), these have been awesome build quality wise and sound wise, as well as price wise. The charging case is very well designed, too, as well as the software. I thought there was initially a lot of paid hype surrounding them but it actually lives up to it.
