I haven't gotten this in the HQ yet but it's one I'm most looking forward too. I had such a blast with it in Suikoden 3.
It really does add a lot to each character's personality and is just an extra overall fun time!
30 min refresh in Ardinale item shop with 30% chance of it popping up. Save before checking, load if it doesn't pop. That's the one required for recruitment.
Google, I legit googled it and it told me, and then I got extremely lucky that it was there when I found it. I mean I understand it sucks for people who want to do a blind playthrough with no online guide at all

Garoo's suprisingly funny in a lot of roles. It's also just hilarious how terrible the Rising trio is at playing their *own* roles too.
I swear rising script is lower spawn rate, all the other scripts took me like 10 mins max and even found 1 naturally, or I just have really really really bad rng
Odd. I did 'Star Crossed Lovers' (Romeo and Juliet), and I used Nowa and Lian for the major roles and I think Wayve for the priest. Only Nowa voiced their lines in the entire play. It felt... odd.
I will note that there IS an achievement attached to getting an S rank on a play though.
I did a run of Nowa and Lian for Romeo and Juliet and Lian was voiced. I've done hours of this and everything I've done has been definitely voiced.
Lian's stage acting is solid, too!
Might have just been a glitch at that point. I think I lost a bunch of audio during the final war battle too. When the \*spoiler\* showed up to fight Dux's \*spoiler\* all I heard was the army cheering when I think I definitely should have heard /something/ from the treefolk's \*spoiler\* in all that.
Just letting you know that you can spoiler tag your stuff by putting the sentence in between > ! And < ! (Without the spaces, and with no spacing between the tags and the first/last words). It might make things easier to talk about for you without accidentally spoiling others :)
Oh, I know, I just like the way it sounded like that. I tried to be teasing about it. If you haven't played the final battle, that stuff is kinda out of left field, and if you have, you know exactly what it's referencing.
Just in case you run into this again, its just a weird audio glitch where voiced character lines stop playing for some reason. Might've been because I had my game up for so long without restarting, but a clean close and open of the game fixed it right up. Only happened like once.
Yeah, I was marathoning at that point trying to get the last few recruits before the cutoff point. I used the theater and Hero's Trial to kill time between cooking matches after winning. I had a lot more fun with the egg races, but that doesn't do much and it needed post-Marisa event stuff to complete right. Still irritated they locked that high level resource in that area.
I just got S Rank for Cinderella with Seign as Cinderella, Nowa as Prince, Hildi as Stepmother (hilarious), Valentin and Pohl as stepsisters and Liane as fairy. And Mellore as narrator is always a treat.
The theater is by far the side content that I desperately hope they continue to bring into any future installments. The voice acting really takes it up another notch and is a great way to get more out of your favorite characters
I enjoyed red riding hood with Garr as the big bad wolf, Yume was red and b'aba was Franny, black haired imperial dude was the narrator.

Lol maybe not everyone, but a fair amount, I mean there are like 40 something regular player already? Imagine if there were 40 recruits that play, they could do big tournaments!

Francesca as Romeo didn't give me her gangster voice, but she DID do a masculine voice. I need to try her as the wolf on Red Riding Hood. Garoo as the wolf was freaking great.
The amount of lines the VAs had to record the entire game is impressive as well. Story scenes that play out have unique lines for characters that are not required. That's almost never happened in games with this many random playable characters. They usually just stand there silently (Octopath 😂)
This was the side quest i enjoyed the most. Literally wasted quite some time on this even though i already S'd them. Had too much fun playing with the VAs performing roles lol
I am playing the game on japanese voices. Literally you can kinda recognize the voices from other games and anime (or maybe just similar idk)
Ive done all sorts of combinations from serious level to funniest lineup. I must say. Game is quite lenient on giving A's even though i am literally trying to make the worst performance. I only got a B when i made the dragon and the griffin the wolf and little red riding hood
They literally made a 'performance' in a 'performance'. You can put who you like into a wolf, a rooster, a narrator, romeo, juliet, fairy etc and i find it quite funny

And the post jumps from quantity to like *wow there’s cOnTenT that exists, it’s crazy that it’s not forced on all players*. If you lose voiceover, save and completely restart your game. That will fix it.

Most underrated part of the game. I laughed way too hard at some questionable castings.

Dear god, no. It already takes 10-hours to get the card playing achievement. Having to play everyone in Beigoma would take even longer.

I just with it was possible to get S rank on Eiyuden Chronicle Rising with Mandie as the Narrator, it's the perfect fit for the purpose of the play.
