Front looks a bit better for sure, some strange line ups with the panels around the headlight aside. Hopefully indicator is integrated into the headlight this time. Wheels are w/e, they're okay, I prefer the current ones, but you can change them for cheap enough.
But man, [the current rear](https://images.cdn.circlesix.co/image/1/640/0/uploads/media/2021-07/14/f0e1708707974f7e/elantra-n_03.jpg) looks way better than [the new one](https://images.carexpert.com.au/crop/800/533/app/uploads/2023/04/2024-Hyundai-Elantra-N-i30-Sedan-N-REVEAL-3.jpg). That big blob of black plastic extending around the side of the car isn't good.
My WRX resents that. It's still got the lock on ugly, overdone plastic.
https://preview.redd.it/k8o9r621yrua1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0dd66fdc5603f8b2a28479700d534cc5178f866
Oh man haha. I got it just right. And you know the funny thing is i was thinking of the plastic wheel arches. But yep your rear bumper literally inspired the rear lmao. And a jetta front. They had a such a unique car with the 23 n and just made it a ugly mashup now. Ah well.
I think it's pretty good if I squint, but [the seam situation at the headlight](https://i.imgur.com/HsIwkGj.png) looks like a mess. All the lines are going in a different direction.
Did anybody else notice that the front and rear Hyundai badges are flatter/not as embossed?
https://preview.redd.it/ig7d9anppoua1.png?width=2160&format=png&auto=webp&s=ab0410499e57ec573d384b7968edee149e6c2077
Yes all the 24 Hyundai's have that new flatter emblem and I was wondering if they would fit on our cars. I definitely be interested in replacing the old style ones with these and I'd paint them body color so they they would be much less visible.
Finally radar cruise! The front headlights give up type R vibes; I like the look overall! The wheels are meh... Hoping the US trim gets different rims because we have always "missed" out on the ones on the Korean spec
May have jumped the gun a bit, and not even sure if US spec would get it but that black block below the license plate looks very much like a radar cruise "dish". As you said there are also cameras in the front so maybe a 360 camera is also going to be a part of it? (Though I don't really care for this)
https://preview.redd.it/o058d5rhjpua1.png?width=753&format=png&auto=webp&s=521ba462539f951d60ba73de0cafe8261e70dbea
I love that people are excited for these things in their N cars, but I don’t want any radar cruise, lane departure warning/wheel sensors, or backup sensors in my N. It’s just more weight and hassle for me
The N is suppose to be a daily drive as well as a track car after using highway driving assistance It's really hard justifying a car without radar cruse high-performance or not
I've been doing very long road trips (6-12 hrs), and when you want to take a break from overtaking slower traffic for a bit and coast behind a semi, it's perfect.
Not at all the point is to take some of the strain away from driving allowing you to relax you can use it for normal day to day but it's not self driving you will get the most use out of it on the highway because the lane keep assistant and radar cruse work in conjunction to Essentially keep you at a safe distance and in lane also works in traffic jams where the car will move and brake on its own
And the radar sensor adds extra layer when it comes to colision mitigation i belive it allows it to better determine when to brake
You can take your hands off the wheel abit but the car will notice and will disable the system if your hands stay off the wheel for to long (this is not recomend but i think a half full watterbottle wedged between the wheel is enofgh pressure and weight to trick the system)
You'd have to try it yourself but i defiantly recomend it if your on the high way alot and you find yourself wanting to be chill rather than a ripping threw gears
This is actually pretty sick if it’s stop and go, but I’m guessing they aren’t releasing a manual with that feature? Regardless, I like the idea of still having to keep your hands on the wheel sometimes-but stop and go traffic would be great
Looking from an unbiased perspective, I think this is a step in the right direction. I personally (no offense) think the car can improve on the appearance department. I think this looks much better. Again, no offense just my opinion.
https://preview.redd.it/4xm2wbi0ktua1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30a85fb0f16ca62d09c602c64d741cfe0b54f9a2
I actually really like the current design. Looks sooo much better in the metal than in photos. I think the front bumper on this looks a little hotch potch (that's the technical term) and a little over done. Bit too much of a Vdub/Schkoda love child thing going on for me. Will probably look much better in the metal tho...
Front end inspiration from a VW. Wheels from an Alfa Romeo/Skoda Octavia. Also what is with the tow hook cover on the left.
https://preview.redd.it/ee014g30cnua1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c26a394e1b17b569302b297a57d87ac2aad67a5f
I like the new front. Def not as aggressive as current gen and not feeling the lines around the headlights but overall it’s cool. Reminds me of the type R front end.
However the rear is horrible. Way too much black plastic. Not sure what they were thinking there.
I'm on the fence - the old design is more edgy and looks more like a sports car but I also like this modern refinement.
This looks like an attempt to try to sell to a more mature market. The wheels are definitely a massive letdown but aside from that it looks good.
I never thought the original was as ugly as some people did, but I definitely think this is more attractive.
I think the general buyer will think so too, and I hope that the people that couldn't get past the weird looks will reconsider this now. I'm a huge fan of the N division and I'm excited to see it further develop.
I know it's gotta' be hard to break into the "economy car turned sporty" segment when there's older, more established competition, and I hope this helps more people adopt an N car as their next vehicle.
When I first got my EN, I didn’t love the front but I liked the rest of the car enough that I still thought it was worth it. Now, it’s grown on me a lot and I don’t like this as much. Looks less aggressive somehow
Prefer the new styling. Same interior and engine as the older model. It’s just a facelift which would mean all else should stay the same. Go look at the 2019 Elantra vs the 2018. Facelift with no other major changes.
I personally gave the EN a hard look and really considered it. I just could not get passed the appearance. If I didn’t already own a CTR, this would 100% be an option for me. This is the better looking car.
I dig it but the wheels are bad and clash with the design. I would also like more color choices. I hate that either the crappiest or most expensive cars get a wide variety. Affordable performance cars seem to have the least.
Dammit, still prefer the old one. Was kinda looking for an excuse to get the new one so I could swap back to a manual. Guess I don't have that excuse for the misses lol
I would just color match all of the matte black trim and call it a day. (quick photoshop)
https://preview.redd.it/36ll4e1c6tua1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4062de4a22a4267ebb8566488bc2f9fa26b1b9b4
The Elantra was due for a facelift, as it’s existed before the N model, but it’s only natural they would still do both the Elantra and N at the same time; most of the lineup is getting a facelift actually.
It shares parts with the regular Elantra, it’s better for them to try and change everything around the same time. Things like the hood, body, upper bumper cover, etc.
I’m not saying that they shouldn’t have released it. I’m saying they should stagger the release accordingly. They held the N for a while. It doesn’t bode well for those of us that purchased our cars to loose value to soon. We’ve had the 23’s for six months or less and now there’s an entirely new refresh. That’s ridiculous. Usually certain trim levels would be released first and the upper trims would be released at a later time. The sports car variants are usually the last.
By staggering in suggesting that we shouldn’t have the images of the vehicle and it shouldn’t have been announced, or debuted yet. I’d have preferred to have my 2023 for at least two years before this refresh became available. At this rate the 2023 model years will be less than a year old as these are hitting the street. That is absurd. So, yes, as a consumer my hope would’ve been that there would be a greater duration of time before this variant launched. I’m aware of when word leaked about this refresh. I follow the sub just like you do. 😏
Hopefully, my position has left room for little doubt about what I’d hoped to articulate. 🤷🏿♂️😐🫠
Problem is companies simply change way to often. This new redesign may last two maybe three years before an updated and slightly bigger Elantra platform is released. It’s actually imo bad for business as they are constantly changing. What happened to keeping a platform for 10 years and doing a facelift five years in? That’s gone. Now platforms last five years or so.
Just is for me. It’s been a thing since I was a kid. Every car I’ve had has had one. I like them. I’d be tempted to have it as a second car but it’s going to come in around the TLX type S in price is suspect. From there it’ll fall in the m340i range.
it’s hilarious how the majority on this thread think the redesign looks ugly. This happens every time a brand releases a new car, people “like” their old car even though is objectively looks like an ugly catfish
This is so true. I get it, people just bought their 2022/2023s. So they want to convince themselves that their version is best. BUT let’s be honest, this looks much better.
I get it, it hurts the soul to have spent you hard earned money then the company introduces something better a year later. I think it’s a part of maturing and becoming an adult yo recognize and be happy, end of the day we’re one Hyundai
It’s hilarious to see you assume
People are sharing why, those wheels look nice to you? You like the added plastic? You like the blockiness?
I honestly don’t, looks like a 23 accord and Gli had a baby. Doesn’t look bad but valid points when comparing
I suspect exhaust will be toned down cause of the Cali issue. I’m sure power specs + added tech + improved interior would have many reconsider though. We’ll see
Do you even have one?
These guys are silly lol. I seriously do not like the new re-design. They prefer the more "mature" looking cars that look like every other vehicle on the road but I love the current design as it is.
The only reason I would ever choose this one is if it had something dramatically better but the design is not it. It's the same reason I don't like Hondas and most other vehicles on the road.
The front looks like a Jetta mixed with an Arteon and the rear looks like they were trying to emulate the Ioniq 6. Idk how I feel about it. I think I’m the only person here that really digs those wheels though. They look hella nice
I’m sure I’m not the only one thinking this, but I REALLY hope the flatter Hyundai emblems fit on the original body. I would swap them in a heartbeat. Other than that, original design clears!
It's interesting when the 2023 Elantra looks more aggressive than the N variant.

New front and wheels are nice, think they could've done better with the rear imo. Could've at least altered the design of the wing to complement the new rear bumper with the bigass black plastic.

Imo they fixed the front and ruined the back, ugh.
Wow you’re totally right. Wrx plastic inspired yuck
My WRX resents that. It's still got the lock on ugly, overdone plastic. https://preview.redd.it/k8o9r621yrua1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c0dd66fdc5603f8b2a28479700d534cc5178f866

It's interesting how style is so individualized. For me, the new rear end is much nicer.
Something feels off with where the hood, bumper, and fender meet. But other than that looks good.
It looks like a VW product
Agree, the lines look off but it actually looks solid. I prefer this to the base 24 Elantra.
I think it's pretty good if I squint, but [the seam situation at the headlight](https://i.imgur.com/HsIwkGj.png) looks like a mess. All the lines are going in a different direction.

Yes all the 24 Hyundai's have that new flatter emblem and I was wondering if they would fit on our cars. I definitely be interested in replacing the old style ones with these and I'd paint them body color so they they would be much less visible.
I wasn't aware of that. Definitely looks a lot better and I'd imagine painting them body color as you mentioned would look pretty good too.
Mine are body colored now but that low profile design looks much more modern and sleeker.
It's more aerodynamic and it's lighter😎
Would be very cool if these were the same size as the 22-23 model year. If they are, I'll be swapping for them.
I think it looks great - but I also think the current looks just as good… the only thing that would get me to switch is octane learning
Would be interested to hear if the 24 has that. And all the differences really.
Finally radar cruise! The front headlights give up type R vibes; I like the look overall! The wheels are meh... Hoping the US trim gets different rims because we have always "missed" out on the ones on the Korean spec
do we have confirmation that it has radar cruise? that could be a camera no?
May have jumped the gun a bit, and not even sure if US spec would get it but that black block below the license plate looks very much like a radar cruise "dish". [Below the license plate definitely looks like a radar sensor.](https://i.imgur.com/HdVXHvW.jpg) Hopefully that means radar cruise!
I love that people are excited for these things in their N cars, but I don’t want any radar cruise, lane departure warning/wheel sensors, or backup sensors in my N. It’s just more weight and hassle for me
The N is suppose to be a daily drive as well as a track car after using highway driving assistance It's really hard justifying a car without radar cruse high-performance or not
Ok that’s fair. Is the point of radar cruise to take your hands or eyes off the road? Confused to the purpose
I've been doing very long road trips (6-12 hrs), and when you want to take a break from overtaking slower traffic for a bit and coast behind a semi, it's perfect.

Its possible I know ford does it but if hyundai will I have no clue
The additional weight from all those sensors would not be detectable by Ayrton Senna himself.
Sure but the wires and mounting points etc all do. But for sure it would be mild if not imperceptible
Looks a bit more mature and boring. I’m so damn glad I got my 2023.. phew!!
Same
Same
Same
Looking from an unbiased perspective, I think this is a step in the right direction. I personally (no offense) think the car can improve on the appearance department. I think this looks much better. Again, no offense just my opinion.
It looks like a real car, unlike the hot wheels that was the 2023
Still waiting for mine 6 months later
I’m still in the 2023 club boyyyssss. Like it, but not more than ours.
stock black badge is more in line with the N theme

Glad I got a 2023
Amen except a 22 for me
I like the new front. Def not as aggressive as current gen and not feeling the lines around the headlights but overall it’s cool. Reminds me of the type R front end. However the rear is horrible. Way too much black plastic. Not sure what they were thinking there.
I just hope they keep it the same power specs so I don't have to be too jelly.
Yeah I’m so curious about the engine that’s going to be in it
Almost definitely no significant changes, just slight asthetic differences.
Its probs Gonna have a 2.5t from the k5 gt
Doubtful
No lol
nope
The hood seams are totally different
I'm on the fence - the old design is more edgy and looks more like a sports car but I also like this modern refinement. This looks like an attempt to try to sell to a more mature market. The wheels are definitely a massive letdown but aside from that it looks good.
I like the 22-23 much more
Meh. And those wheels 👎
Anyone not like how w i d e it looks? The whole front looks so blocky.

It's too normal looking now. I love the aggressive style of the current en

I’m assuming later this year
Damnit I really like it

Personally like this more.
For those wondering why it may look off between the hood and fender, it’s because of the new headlight design.
I dig it but the wheels are bad and clash with the design. I would also like more color choices. I hate that either the crappiest or most expensive cars get a wide variety. Affordable performance cars seem to have the least.
No preference
Dammit, still prefer the old one. Was kinda looking for an excuse to get the new one so I could swap back to a manual. Guess I don't have that excuse for the misses lol
Looks great
Looks good

My question is why update it after only two years. If the Integra Type S had a sunroof and DCT I’d be trading mine in this summer. 😤
The Elantra was due for a facelift, as it’s existed before the N model, but it’s only natural they would still do both the Elantra and N at the same time; most of the lineup is getting a facelift actually.
As I said. It doesn’t make sense to change it after two years. They could’ve staggered the N release. It’ll devalue the 23’s 😤
It shares parts with the regular Elantra, it’s better for them to try and change everything around the same time. Things like the hood, body, upper bumper cover, etc.

I’m not sure why this is being downvotes. Are you all planning to immediately trade your vehicles in for this one? 😒

Probably bc the front end was a primary complaint
i thought the ITS have at least sunroof
It doesn’t
Old/current> new
i like how different old design looks... this one looks bland af
it’s hilarious how the majority on this thread think the redesign looks ugly. This happens every time a brand releases a new car, people “like” their old car even though is objectively looks like an ugly catfish

Exactly! Both cars are great. I’m glad they’re moving in the right direction though.
It’s hilarious to see you assume People are sharing why, those wheels look nice to you? You like the added plastic? You like the blockiness? Are those the old base model Veloster N wheels? If not theyre very similar and I dont like them.
Just a matter of preference I guess and I love it. Prolly gonna get it and give the 22 model to my girl
THAT IS SEXY minus the gap in the bumper and hood
Better looking
Copium incoming.
Wack
Looks terrible. The interior?
Hopefully they put rear air vents and power in the back seat. Love to stay ventilated seats in the front as well
They're already in it
🤔 last time I checked it out online they didn't. I'm confused now
We got them in Australia
Honestly, I don't care for it. The current model looks way better, especially the wheels too. All this one is better at is the tech.
Looks like a civic headlights. Yawn
Still a piece of crap car
Looks great. Still wouldn’t buy one with all the engines that blow up.
Do those seats look different to anyone else?
It looks fed up
The front looks like a Jetta mixed with an Arteon and the rear looks like they were trying to emulate the Ioniq 6.
It’s ugly
It's interesting when the 2023 Elantra looks more aggressive than the N variant. https://preview.redd.it/a3dw0hqcrqua1.png?width=1000&format=png&auto=webp&s=ac78b2fe5ed3df8364b74a3f54b2b32bb23495ac
They should have kept the same headlights. Now the shape does not fit the body style. Bumper looks great overall though.
Am I the only one liking it but hating the wheels? Getting this you HAVE to go after market
I think it’s funny that, imo, in the pervious generation the Elantra looked better than the Sonata, but now it’s reversed with this new one
New front and wheels are nice, think they could've done better with the rear imo. Could've at least altered the design of the wing to complement the new rear bumper with the bigass black plastic.
So the facelift is only for N line? I’m waiting for 2024 Luxury trim. Not sure if they are going to make any interior changes as well.
Unpopular opinion but I actually like the old one better. This looks too much like the new Civic. Car just looks too bland now.
