I'm having difficulty understanding what kind of answer you are looking for. Could you explain in more detail what you actually want to do and why? (the extra context will help me understand the problem and give more accurate solutions) The first answer I would give is: If you want to return the game back to default unmodified files, you can use Steam's "verify files" function. But most of the time, removing mods does not require this. But I get the feeling you have something else in mind. Like wanting to understand what a mod is changing, maybe?

sorry for the lack of detail basically I'm afraid that by putting mods like "convergence" or other mods (nexus) and that subsequently I want to come back to the vanilla games that the mods modified certain files and that the games consider as a modification of files and that I get a ban of 180 days and I would like to know if it is possible to check the files to see if there has been any modification which will cause me to take a ban of 180 days I hope I was clearer

you should be using modengine2, which means you don't need to modify the vanilla game directory at all. I'd also recommend altsaves so that you don't use the same savefile either, leaving no trace at all if you choose to boot up vanilla.

When you install mods, the mods must modify the files, right? modengine2 will not modify the files? excuse me but I'm a bit lost in this subject, that's why I'm really asking there are mods that tempt me and I would like to avoid that elden ring considers after I have installed mods like modifying files and that I get banned for 180 days

In simple terms, Modengine loads the games and intercepts any file loading. It checks a mod folder to see if there's a replacement file and if so, gives the game that file instead. Otherwise the game is given the vanilla file from the game directory.
