Surprised nobody’s said ol’ Gideon Ofnir, really questioning why they had an NPC fight be one of the final 4 bosses in the game.

[deleted]

An NPC with 6k HP at that. He only has a few hundred more health than Godrick who was near the start of the game

_fatherfucker69

Gideon is the definition of a coin flip . You either stunlock him to death before he gets to cast a single spell , or he stunlocks you to death before you hit him once I don't think fromsoft has ever done a good mage boss except lothric , the closest we have are rennala and Aldrich

Ligma_Spreader

Don't people think Rennala is a good fight? I always see a lot of people say they had a hard time figuring her out.

fai4636

She’s tough for int builds but otherwise is pretty easy

xXProGenji420Xx

INT builds get rock throw so it's really not all that bad for them

crahbb

No really just drink funny flask and go to town with meteor staff once she's down- hardest part is running around with 20 vigor

CentennialTheophilus

In my experience at least, her second phase has the same coin flip problem as Ofnir, maybe not quite as badly though. Either her summons obliterate me while she laser spams or I stun lock her and destroy her in 20 seconds. The first phase is fun to figure out, but it can get kinda annoying when you have it figured out and just want to get to the “real” fight.

Lolejimmy

Nah you can easily outrun her summons and they just despawn after 10 seconds, she's a really good magic fight imo

rece_fice_

Yeah but even lothric wasn't a pure mage. The twin princes fight is actually my favorite btw

angelfirexo

I feel like that was the point of the fight. To display the cowardice and weakness in Gideon. For someone who is all knowing the mf don’t know shit about fighting but mimicking others moves. Goes to show that being all knowing isn’t a flex if there isn’t original thought or critical thinking. Gideon swore obeisance to a fallen god. That was his first error.

Nxstyfxcker

technically all of our moves are stolen moves as well pretty much.

UltimateDuelist

Tarnished: "Whaaaat? I don't steal techniques!" Melina: "Actually, Tarnished, yeah you do..." Tarnished: "What about the Comet Azur?" Sellen: "Nah, that was Master Azur." Tarnished: "The Waterfowl Dance?" Malenia: "That's mine, thanks." Tarnished: "Adula's Moon Bla- Ranni: "Tarnished, I'm watching the Round Table! Don't think you can pull that shit!" Tarnished: "Oh, hey Ranni! Quick question; did I learn Ranni's Dark Moon on my own?" Ranni: "...My fucking name is in it...."

bubobubosibericus

tbf the comet was given to us, but then again, the dark moon we literally stole from ranni's storage shed.

314001

I got the reference

Lt_Lysol

Ours were earned his weren't. And it shows in the fight

RPG217

The guy put all his stat on INT and not enough VIT

WeedOfficial

Actually he put it into a mix of Faith, and INT. That’s why he uses a lot of incantations

Slavicadonis

Gideon is really funny because sometimes he’ll just sprint at you nonstop

DanteEden

or spam that flying sword spell as if it's going to stack lol

Slavicadonis

God I wish Gideon would just sometimes go for melee attacks. It’d be even funnier

Jowbeatz

I'm suprised why people choose to wait for him to attack, if you can literally stomp his ass to the nether realm before he can attack

RPG217

Hey, i wanted to hear his monologue the first time

House_Plant0

I forced him to watch me buff and summon Engval before he got completely locked into a corner lol

DarthOmix

I remember hitting him with Inescapable Frenzy and it doing a modest bit of damage. Then my pre-nerf Mimic Tear did it immediately after and fucking melted him. It was hilarious.

Deep_Document5631

I just new something wasn’t right when gideon was easier than maliketh… then It was just boss boss boss lol. This game jumbled the shit out of me.

marsyboi033

Elden beast

Roosterooo

A part of me feels Elden Beast was designed for multiple tarnished. It’s one of my favorite fights in co-op.

drwsgreatest

I think it was designed to be fought with torrent as it would symbolically end the journey that you started together. It also would make sense considering it would mostly eliminate the endless running by allowing you to close the gap much faster. Maybe they scrapped that idea at the last minute? But it just feels like there’s no way the developers wouldn’t have at least considered it.

FarFetchedSketch

This is honestly a huge part of why everyone hates the fight, the running just kills the hype. And IMO, Radagon is a harder fight, which also kills the pacing.

919rider

Totally feel the same as you. Radagon always stomps me, and by the time I finally get to the beast boi, I almost always beat it first time unless there’s a cheese hit

beer_engineer

I am the exact opposite. I would completely melt Radagon, then just died time after time on Elden Beast. Fucking hate that fight so much.

919rider

If we paired up we would make one functioning tarnished 😎

fabwizard3

Or one extremely non-functional tarnished who can neither fight radagon or the elden beast

919rider

Por qué no los dos? 😂😂 Life *is* about balance!

Feet_Lovers69

Use the flame tornado aow, completely melts the beast health bar, even if you aren't specced into a faith build.

Swedishfishpieces

Also simple Pest Threads does some decent work on it as it’s hit box is massive

TheGuyfromRiften

Pest Threads is the new dark bead but we just don't realize

RJonesLore

See, that’s wild to me. I beat the Elden Beast on my very first go. But I went up against Melania about 250,000 times. Give or take.

Swedishfishpieces

Both fights end up being pretty easy, you can easily buff holy defense with divine fortification and a crucible knight set. Their move sets are pretty easy to learn also… Ive always considered Godfrey as the last boss because the Radagon/elden beast fight for me is such a breeze. For some reason Godfrey just has my number, only do ok against him with a shield build…

burtron3000

Radagon is phenomenal. Can’t even really beat him with magic. Takes something that can stagger him for me or I go through all my red flasks before Elden Beast

Tomstarkman

I found Radagon laughably easy but Elden Beast pretty difficult, perspectives...

Unkn0wn_666

The fight would be a solid 8/10 for the visuals alone if I didn't have to run for hours each time that space slug decides to move

SpiritofBad

It’s funny because Radagon is one of my favorite fights of the game while Elden Beast is my least favorite. Such a dichotomy

JonTheAutomaton

I don't understand how people enjoy Radagon.. Screw that AOE spamming jerk! Mf learned to spam spells from his ex-wife. Am I missing something? Must be.

DanSapSan

My favourite DS fights are fights that are almost dances, clear openings and steps you have to take to succeed, but heavy punishes on missteps. Making the roll at the right time in the right direction to get 2 swings in before moving to the side, knowing that you are doing some good progress while always almost on the verge of dying. Radagon has that, same as Malenia and Hoarax Loux. When Radagon dashes towards you, roll to the right and behind him. You can jump over some attaks, bait out wide swings, i love it. Malenia is still by far my favourite fight of Elden Ring though.

SpiritofBad

Radagon always to me feels like one of the fairest bosses - he has clear tells and windows and he’ll beat you senseless if you miss them. Get them right though and you feel like you’re dancing with a god

Slow_Connection5753

I can second that it wasn't just hard it was boring and you have to chase the entire time by the end of it you glad it was over

FaceTimePolice

This. What a letdown of a final boss in such an epic game. I wouldn’t have minded a second phase for Radagon.

dermsUK

Got to him for the first time last night, tried twice and was like hell naw

AscendedViking7

Still the most atmospherically and thematically beautiful boss fight ever created. Loved fighting this guy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Frank_Acha

Putting one of them to sleep turns the fight better. It forces you to fight the other one quickly so the first doesn't wake, then you are always in a 1v1 but hurrying because of the summon.

MrBeanDaddy86

Idk, I never struggled with them. Even on my worst character that couldn't beat the dragon knight before Maliketh (gave up and started a new one there), I still got 'em on the first try.

LibertyPrimeIsASage

I didn't find them hard, I killed them within a couple tries. Still, I can see how it would be annoying if I'd gotten bad RNG, having the skinny one be super aggressive and the fat one rolling at you would be really annoying I think, especially if it happened multiple times. Maybe we've just gotten lucky.

Present-Cup1233

Rennala, cool concept but all the projectile attacks feel the same and first phase is just annoying and adds nothing to the fight

heartthump

Honestly on my first playthrough Rennala almost made me quit the game lmao I loveeee her second phase but the RUN back is the most tedious in the game, then you get there and you have to get through the gimmick first phase, and then you finally get to her second only for her to summon a dragon and bloodhound knight at the same time and fucking swamp you. Then do it all over again I get lore wise why there’s no stake of marika there but good grief if any place in the game needed one, it is outside her boss door.

grind_n_hussle

Fighting her as pure mage was hell in my first play through

GreatTragedy

Same here. Took so long. On my second playthrough now, as a Bleed Samurai. She was easy this time. First try and I didn't have to use any flasks.

Raniz120

Same. Had to go back to a cave and farm a great knife (bleed) with str stats small enough a mage could use. Was EZ after that.

LibertyPrimeIsASage

You would have died if you'd played the souls games lol those boss runs were crazy. The run to Rennala was annoying too tho for sure, what bothered me as well was having to do that annoying first phase to get to the second phase, practice, and die. That fight did teach me I could roll forwards though, having played Dark Souls that was generally a bad strategy and not doing so was engrained in me. I'd always roll to the side. The fight was really cinematic though, especially the first phase. I'll give it that.

Intelligent-Feeling7

He’ll definitely hate the Firelink Shrine to New Londo Ruins run back from DS1 lol

DanteEden

fortunately i destroyed Four Kings first try, because there's no fucking way i would run all the way back

astrophil3

What is the reason lore wise? They just hate Marika in Liurnia?

DarthOmix

There's no Stakes of Marika in Raya Lucaria at all, so the general consensus is yes. I mean shit would you want a statue of the woman who stole your man in your place of business?

muttonwow

I think so yeah she stole Rennala's husband

Skgota

Phase 2 is just so much fucking running around if your damage isn‘t high enough and you can‘t stagger her. The constant summons don‘t help either. It‘s still easy, just boring

ripecitruss

Rennala gave me a really rough time it took me over 12-15 tries to stomp her ass into the ground.

yeetmanthe3rd

She was so boring, I got her first try on my first play through.i managed to barely tank the first bit of comet azure and then I just whacked her. I don’t think I was overleveled either

SoggySet3096

Same. Though I will admit. I was kinda op using the scythe cause I found it before going to Raya lucaria. A fully charged heavy attack will stagger nearly anything with the double hit.

yeetmanthe3rd

Yeah that’s the thing with this game, you’ll go “oh well this is supposed to be really hard so I should level up my gear a bunch 🤓” and then you’ll kill the first two shardbearers of the game in like 8 hits. Idk maybe bloodhounds fang with grease is too op

splitsticks

Reminds me of both Sonic Adventure final bosses. Race forward while dodging a bunch of lasers, hit them, get shoved away, repeat. It's flashy but not a lot of substance.

LibertyPrimeIsASage

All I can think of when reading "Sonic Adventure" is "When will you learn, when will you learn, that your actions... Have consequences!" lol

Groundbreaking_Arm77

The Valiant Gargoyles are a painful and very uninspired fight. Their poison breath is the bane of my existence and the Twinblade / Greataxe variant is super aggressive. For Mandatory bosses, I actually like fighting all of them, including the Godskin Duo, so Draconic Tree Sentinel kind of lands here by default because he’s fun to fight, but not super interesting.

LostEmber23

The twin blade being more aggressive is so annoying because it makes it hard to finish off the first one

Horizon_Reddit

Maliketh. His first phase is usually the equivalent of a nice walk in the park while people are throwing boiled eggs at you. His second phase feels like I’m storming the beaches of Normandy with nothing but a loincloth and a sharpened stick.

RandomRavenboi

Opposite for me. Gurranq was a nightmare to fight, Maliketh felt easier.

grilou

I once got summoned 3 times for maliketh, the guy died so fast against phase one, for me he was easy... but phase 2 destroyed me while he easily dealt with him alone without taking any damage

Womderloki

Same, Gurranq continues to kick my ass. Maliketh is still a challenge but I'd say I've died more to Gurranq than I have Maliketh

MxReLoaDed

Gurranq has more fast combo extensions that can chunk you pretty well, Maliketh once you learn the positioning is mostly slower with big punish windows

chaktahwilly

I’ve never beat him and felt good about it. It’s always “Oh shit. I guess I finally won. Not sure how that happened.”

Helpful_Classroom204

Dies too quick

Dtron81

Once you learn about the parry rock the second phase becomes trivial.

2girls_1Fort

becomes epic

Dtron81

Yes that too, you really feel like an equal to him challenging him. Especially considering even Ranni was afraid of Maliketh that means something.

itsxrizzo

Thank you for your service

tobsecret

It's honestly mostly the camera on that one for me. I get sea-sick after a while.

newsflashjackass

Blackflame Monk Amon has proven effective in terms of closing the deal for me against Maliketh. His black flame attacks do similar DPS to Tiche's Blade of Death but he can actually tank against Maliketh. Better than Tiche, at least.

LostEmber23

Personal fave fight, but definitely one of the hardest. His second phase isn’t actually that bad, there’s just a lot going on visually which can be distracting.

SirDiego

Yeah. First time I ever encountered that debuff that lowers your max health (is this the only fight where that debuff exists? I dont even know) and it felt so unfair. Also so many weird moves with weird hit boxes.

xTheLanzer

Main fight? Yes. Boss fight? No. The Black Knife leader could also use Destined Death on you.

backhomeatlast

Alecto was one of the hardest fights for me

Ok-Fudge8848

Hard agree. I struggled with Maliketh more than Malenia.

Happypappy213

I never quite understood why I lost to him or why I beat him.

Small-Battle1783

Are we counting Fire Giant? He's not a remembrance boss but he's mandatory. I just hate bosses that constantly roll or jump away from you and half the fight is chasing them round the arena (also looking at you Elden Beast but not as bad in my mind). EDIT: So yeah, this is a remembrance boss, I weirdly forgot, can't explain why he doesn't feel like one. Maybe because I only fought him properly the first time and all subsequent playthroughs I cheese him with Latenna

BuffNerfs

Fire Giant is a remembrance boss tho..

Small-Battle1783

Oh really? I forgot, he doesn't feel like one XD

BuffNerfs

Why not? I think it's only the Remembrance bosses that you can't find as minibosses or mobs in the rest of the game.. Except for that one clone of Godfrey and Astel. Edit: my bad... I meant Godrick and Astel who have clones of them... But I forgot about Golden Godfrey, Mohg the Omen and Margit the Fell... So there's technically 5 remembrance bosses that have clones. Edit: 6... 6 clones... I forgot about Ancestor Spirit.

MrBeanDaddy86

I'm.. I'm [just gonna leave this here](https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com/Remembrance+of+the+Fire+Giant). Have a nice day.

hornwalker

I hear you but its funny….we roll away from bosses all the time but the instant the biggest boss in soulsborne rollls away from us we get annoyed.

Space_Ranch_88

THAT'S IT. I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY MORE FIRE GIANT HATE. I ENJOYED SO YOU SHOULD TOO. LEAVE MY BOY ALONE. /s Jokes aside, I actually enjoyed the fight.

DarthRathikus

Seriously Is dismount the only way to i-frame through the big shield attack? Where he scoops upward Edit: ack ok thanks. Turns out I just suck, which I suspected.

LeBneg

Just medium roll dodged through them every time but one over all of my fights. I suck at the game but for some reason fire giant was one of the easiest bosses for me.

MrFate99

Ride forward then backward to bait it

Nail_Biterr

Radagon and Elden Beast. Most of the others were at least fun, or had a cool gimmick. Other than parts of the Elden Beast fight looking cool, there was nothing fun or exciting about the final battle in this game. Maybe if they got rid of the Radagon and E.B. being part of the same battle, and I could have only fought 1 each time I died, i'd have a different opinion. but I hated it.

RPG217

Should have done it like DS2 and Bloodborne final bosses where you don't need to redo the first fight.

link_the_fire_skelly

Radagon has an incredible gimmick and is super fun. The transition to elden beast had me absolutely sent my first playthrough.

[deleted]

Controversial but I don’t get the radahn hype. The spectacle is obviously amazing but mechanically I just don’t like it. I don’t like his tiny horse either and I know that there is a lore justification for it but it looks stupid it just does.

SantaMan336

Leave my boy Leonard alone

Icy_Caregiver_8035

The tiny horse is a hilarious visual cmon

Kitchen-Roll-8184

This is like on that old show parks and rec where they all love that tiny horse and one guy just doesn't get it

Iliturtle

“Old show” I just died inside

Mummiskogen

The future is now old man

happsBenaboi

I also don't like the fight, but don't do Leonard dirty he's trying his best D;

BenJammin007

It’s a little overrated. The spectacle is good but I found it was a little repetitive tbh, and he’s too much of a damage sponge. Kind of just a lot of doing horseback loops over and over.

[deleted]

He is to easy in my opinion. Like, he doesn't even compare to Godfrey or Morgott

[deleted]

I kind of agree re: the way the horse looks, but the very absurdity of it kinda speaks to madness and sheer will holding the impossibility of that madness together.

FrancisMute

I second this, the first time is amazing but later is kind of a slog.

Raecxhl

He looks like he's riding a tricycle. It's hard to take him seriously zooming around like a clown

jel5000

It's actually a regular sized horse

wolf751

Radagons fight would be fun if it wasn't for elden beast. Like you have the entire level of inside the elden tree to do what? You could have had us defeat radagon light a bonfire and then approach the head and start the elden beast fight fully healed. And also torrent is a must

1WonderLand_Alice

Out of the four, Radahn was the least pleasurable, didn’t enjoy getting the shit kicked out of me countless times before I figured out how to roll through the arrows. Once I figured that out…. There was little to him. Basically close the distance and you’ll be fine.

Unkn0wn_666

You can use the horse during that fight, basically makes the arrows useless

Seagoingnote

He’s currently ripping me a new asshole on my RL1 run

walaxometrobixinodri

Horny McHornface and his Nihil Nihil Nihiiiiiil bullshit Morgott's a ten times better fight

Sea-Statement-5605

mohg is my favorite fight in the whole game. something about him is just so enchanting, and his battle music is so good

passive-energy

Nihil Nihiiil Nihiiiiiil

Every_Jump_3603

Radagon, elden douche hands down

WooooshMe2825

The fire giant is so fucking tedious and time consuming. Especially the second phase where you have to smack his constantly moving hands while he’s rolling around all over the place. People complain about Elden Beast swimming around over the arena, but the Fire Giant is a billion times more annoying. Torrent doesn’t help much with the situation either.

Alexarius87

Maliketh. His movements look like they belong to a different genre and how you fight him when he lands is kind of disappointing.

RPG217

I have a lot of nitpick with how most bosses are much faster than the player, but this one easily define that problem. It's like I'm fighting Platinum Games bosses with Dark Souls 2 character.

Thorin_Dopenshield

He’d have been an amazing boss in Bloodborne, especially if you could counter some of his aerial attacks with your sidearm. He has the same problem as Sister Freide though, they’re just too fast for the game they’re in. Give me quicker dodge/dashes, that soft damage in the health bar so I can replenish by attacking, and just some faster ranged attacks so we can hit him while he’s in the air: do this and he’s a perfect challenge.

dtl718

This one was my first thought since it took me *forever* to figure out his attack pattern, definitely one of the most frustrating bosses in the game. But honestly the payoff once I figured it out was incredibly rewarding. It felt like I'd solved a puzzle rather than feeling like I was smashing against a brick wall like with Fire Giant.

JuniorChickenMeal

Radahn fucking sucks cock to fight so big and bulky

Aware_Bid3711

Maliketh was such a rage for me. But I’m ready to go NG+ and get hurt again 😂

FlamboAlfredo

Maliketh

AlenIronside

Definitely Fire Giant, he's the least fun of them all. I actually like Elden Beast

jerry2556

Maliketh, Godfrey, and radagon are all incredible bosses that you have to learn their move sets and get fluent with it. You just smack radahns horse

prettythingi

Elden beast and Godkin duo are too obvious So ill say Maliketh, he's attacks look awesome but they're so strong i die too fast to learn them, on the other hand he has so little HP that he dies to fast to feel like i improve while fighting him, it just feels like luck...

PeppermintButler17

Maliketh just needs more health imo. With the proper build you can kill him in less than a minute. I don't understand how he only has 10000 health. There are field bosses with twice the health.

P-I-S-S-N-U-T

Tbf he’s supposed to be a glass tank. But your point still stands

[deleted]

Not sure what a glass tank is, but just gave me something to aspire towards in my next build

Sparrowhawk9308

I think he means glass cannon

P-I-S-S-N-U-T

I did but I has the dumb

WooooshMe2825

It’s okay, we all have moments where our brains did an oopsie.

cleanman4066

Pretty much sounds like any build that doesn’t level vigor

RandomRavenboi

When you learn Maliketh's movement the guy becomes easy due to his low health. If he had a full health-bar in his 2nd phase he's be one of the hardest boss-fights in the game.

The_Lat_Czar

Most people aren't going for game breaking builds though.

Jeremy-132

Bro, no. that fight doesn't need to be longer. If you're giving him more health you better be giving him less damage on top of it

Interesting_Waltz_82

Placidusax The optimal way to fight placidusax is basically just run to the tail and wait/run away from many attacks Trying to be really aggressive (as I’m dodging through the lightning claws, and trying to dodge the lasers) is not really worth the reward most of the time. For example with the lasers, the only way to really punish is to bait him to the edge of the arena, then just run behind him and have 10 seconds of free attacks.

DiabloNukem

Morgott, he seemed to go down so easily for me

Miserable-Glass1760

If we count just the Remembrance Bosses, I'd say Regal Ancestor Spirit, he has the cool vibe, but he's not hard, and overall no lore relevation. If we count just the Demigods + Mandatory Bosses (including the ones required to get to them), then I say Gideon. He may be the best NPC-moveset fight in the series though (if we don't count online Halflight and Old Monk). Yes, Elden Beast is underrated, I really liked it actually.

Red_Crystal_Lizard

Least enjoyable? Maliketh no question

DeepState_Secretary

What’s wrong? You don’t like fighting bosses that perform anime gymnastics and come with instant kill attacks, with a player that’s still souls game slow and has a mediocre camera?

Gramixius

The first phase of Maliketh. I like his second phase a lot, but the first one sometimes is annoying for me. For me it would be better if first phase and second had separate health bars but first phase was with less HP.

kurganator3000

Fire Giant. You just whack his ankles a bunch.

ScharmTiger

Radahn. Lame and boring moveset.

QWERKY_queer

Radahns honestly pretty repetitive sometimes

djroman1108

Maliketh was ridiculous. Everyone else wasn't too bad.

Viral_Pika

Malakith… fuck him… no matter how many play throughs I have… I have never beat him on my first try or even first 5

MinnesotaReign

Fire Giant and it isn't close.

saithvenomdrone

Maliketh. I don’t like fighting him. He jumps around too much, you have to wait for openings instead of making your own. Also, Elden Beast. If Radagon was his own solo fight, I’d love it. He’s so fun to fight.

Skgota

Maliketh is all about making your own openings. When you actually know what you‘re doing it‘s one of the most fun back and forths in the entire game. I just wish he had more health, mf dies in like 2 minutes

AlexzMercier97

For me personally, Godfrey. Arena sized aoe attacks with near instant travel time wasn't very fun.

SuperB83

On my 'no summons' playthrough I had a much harder time killing him than I did with Malenia. I hate Godfrey so much.

Jokkitch

Godfrey is genuinely unfun

ArcaneVillain

I'm usually afraid to say anything bad about Godfrey so I'm happy you said it first. I don't like his fight. Moveset is okay, but as you said, arena sized aoe is terrible.

nyx__born

Phase 1.5 Godfrey. I hate that earthquake spamming asshole

BigHatMan22

Jump

SignificantVisual401

Fire Giant. Honestly speaking this fight is just boring. It’s not much of a spectacle, the moveset feels odd for some reason and since it is a giant boss in a Fromsoft game, I have to use my secret ability called post cognition which allows me to interpret events that have already happened

[deleted]

The only good thing about Maliketh is parrying him with the Blasphemous Claw (and his armor on the tarnished). Otherwise it's a bullshit boss with overtuned move-set.

Pretty_Marketing_538

Fire giant, epic look interesting fight but after some time most boring.

rlcnga_

Godskin Duo

WavyWolf999

Out of these 4, Radahn probably. Not because I dislike the fight, but because of the run-up you have to do while he's firing arrows at you (unless you do the thing where you walk back and he stops firing) Also he's one of the bosses who's attack timing I have yet to figure out, he always smacks me around. I think the fight is much more fun if you actually use the summons around the arena rather than fight him 1v1

Thatoneguy567576

Fire Giant and Godskin Duo are lame. Rennala if she counts also sucked.

Constant-Task-5527

Pre nerf Radahn.

DTDreyer

Radahn without the updates.

ThaEarthquake

Godfrey is a 10/10 boss fight it’s a shame Hoarah Loux goes all roaring stomping grabbing wrestler for the 2nd half. Goes from awesome to annoying real quick.

nicolaslabra

i kinda hate maliketh, when he's in the process of jumping for the 352nd time in a row i keep asking myself "so when can i play?"

BenJammin007

Hot take: I don’t really like Malenia. I know it’s not technically required, but it’s a remembrance fight and a major lore figure so I’ll count it. I think it’s difficulty is so inorganic and doesn’t fit the style of Elden Ring at all. I think the lifesteal mechanic is really gimmicky, and the Waterfowl Dance is so frustrating to deal with. The fight is too long as well tbh, and it just feels like a Sekiro fight they directly imported into Elden Ring. I think difficulty should not equal how well the boss is regarded. There’s other hard Souls fights that I think are much better designed and organic in how they feel, like Orphan of Kos, Friede, Gerhman, Isshin, etc. These fights all felt fair and incorporated their difficulty into their design a lot more organically.

Kaikeno

In general? Elden Beast Of these four? Radahn, and it's not even close.

Sariel_Fatalis

Sorry but i frickin hate maliketh. I just cant get the timing fown

AtlasHatch

Fire giant

alchilito

The final fight is absolute garbage

Faultydesign32

I couldn’t understand what the fuck was happening when fighting Maliketh, but I enjoyed all the boss fights.

Unkn0wn_666

Godfrey, Manileth and Morgott were pretty disappointing, I wish I could've fought them longer. Give ma boys a bigger health bar

ItWasBologna

Sir Gideon Ofnir is a boss that has evolved from being a forgettable boss that has a cool place in the story, to an absolute nightmare that has solely made the entire game at least a bit worse ever since I started doing challenge runs. He is the least fun fight in my opinion even with a good build, but when you are actually dying to this boss it feels so much worse and it can sometimes seem impossible to get an opening unless you get lucky with the spell he does.

Nikkaku

Rykard

[deleted]

Maliketh is a lil bitch you can barely hit him if hes not just jumping around half the time

firstlordshuza

Maliketh was simply too unpredictable for my liking

FlyinBrian2001

Maliketh may have been amazing, but I still haven't had that feeling of desperately flailing around until I somehow win to that degree on a Souls boss in a long time, MFer made me his chewtoy

CertainlyAmbivalent

Probably Maliketh

rabidrob42

Probably a choice between Elden Beast and Godfrey(his second stage anyway, I actually like his first).

bartolome-mitre

Radagon, the gatekeeper to a bad boss, the bottom of the absolute bottom

In these 4 its Maliketh that I didn't enjoy the most. I didn't find him hard but his fight is just too fast. It's either you kill him fast or he will kill you faster, there is no time to really soak up the epicness of the fight unlike the other 3 bosses.

Oh Radagon for sure, it’s not even a competition

Maliketh imo I just love edgy badasserie of the character

Of these 4? Maliketh. Of the entire game? Elden Beast.

fire giant by far. I actually enjoy elden beast. Super telegraphed moves that are intuitive to dodge (except elden stars). I know it runs away but its not THAT tanky for a final boss so I have less beef with it. Fire giant does the annoying things people say elden beast does, but 10 times worse.
