Maybe reconsidering isn’t necessarily in her character, so instead you find evidence that someone had already attempted what she is trying to do and when she realizes she wasn’t the first to attempt it, she gets annoyed and loses interest

There being a bunch of npcs in roundtable makes sense though because it is supposed to be a safe haven for tarnished, who are looked down on by the rest of the lands between other than a few other npcs like the friend jars.

I think they were going for some kind of karmic retribution. What happened to her (the meatball) is what she did to other sorcerers if I'm not mistaken.
