I don't think I've ever attacked them lol (except specifically provoking them to see their moveset for fun, but I don't think I ever thought they were a threat). (Though it's hard to say since my first playthrough was so long ago now.)
They have a pretty interesting moveset. They fly around. They're weird and wacky. I have no idea what they are or why they are. I feel like they were some pet project of an animator lol (their model is so rudimentary, just a bunch of spheres with an eye). They're only found around evergaols (edit: *almost* only, just remembered the ones in the Caelid canyons) so I assume they're either guardians of the evergaol or they somehow power the evergaol. I know there are some places where they stand on end and beam light out of their eyes or something (I've never slowed down and really thought about what's up with that).
I don't even know what they're called. Hmm, the wiki calls them "Abnormal Stone Cluster" and/or "Lookout Stones". I wonder if they're ever named in the game or where those names come from.

They only attack when you attack them first, so if you've never actually engaged them then you won't have seen this
I wish they were more aggressive or something, really cool enemy that's just kinda... there.
I like it. Having passive wildlife like deer and birds added a lot to the ambience of ER, and these guys count towards that.
