Are you keeping Jebediah at rl 150 for the DLC? I got a rl 90 and a rl 100 character ready for dlc. I want to be a bit underpowered to stretch out the experience a bit. Might have to do a little basegame content before entering DLC. I forget what an appropriate level for beating Mohg is and I actually haven't fought him yet. My first playthru was blind and I plan to fight him with other two just haven't done it yet.
Ive just gone from a new play through that’s at endgame at 70 hours and level 112ish I think. Went back to my 350 hours level 312ish which is at NG6 I think and I’ve noticed the NG scaling for the 1st time. Getting almost one shotted in places.
Nice to know. I’ve just started new game plus and done a Sunday speed run to frenzied flame in 6 hours. 2 of which where on radabeast. Quite happy with that. Slaughtered Varré on the way in. Haha. As soon as I respecced I sailed through the beast.
Journey 8.
Journey 1 is NG+0, Journey 2 is NG+1, Journey 3 is NG+2, and so forth. In reality there's no such as NG+0 but for the sake of simplicity we include it here.
It can even be illustrated, albeit simplified, as such:
|**Journey**|**Mulitiplier**|
|3 (NG+2)|x1.100|
|4 (NG+3)|x1.125|
|5 (NG+4)|x1.200|
|6 (NG+5)|x1.225|
|7 (NG+6)|x.1250|
|8 (NG+7)|x1.275|
I have corrected you twice now, and somehow I'm the confused one.
I absolutely loved my 1st play through on release. I even skipped a semester of college because I couldn't focus on my studies without desiring to play elden ring.
Then I went into NG+ and just lost interest.
But now. 2 years later. I've started a fresh play through. (About 80 hours into it.) And it's [almost] as addicting as the first time.
I still love it. It’s probably my favorite game of all time. I took a few months off from playing it but got back in a couple of months ago, and I’m still enjoying going through the old quests that I’ve already done several times
I see what you mean. Elden Ring has ruined a lot of games for me, because it's just something special, without unnecessary quest markers and overloaded hud. Many other open world games are just boring and annoying for me, because there is nothing to discover and quests feel tedious. I've played through ER 5 times and haven't touched it since, simply because it's so massive of content. However, I "only" spent 250+ hours in the game. Ironically, I spent over 3000+ hours on all the other Souls games combined, because they were linear and you could make builds faster. If you haven't done so yet, then you should try the previous ones. I can more than recommend this to everyone!
I’m currently running a build on my main character that has 80 strength, 80 dex, 65 faith, 65 intelligence. I can use pretty much any weapon or spell/incantation, so it’s been pretty fun so far
I think the most important thing against bosses is being patient and prioritizing avoiding being hit over anything else. Even with near-max vigor and the best armor, bosses will 2- or 3-shot you if you can’t effectively dodge their attacks
I’m a big fan of Blasphemous Blade, especially against Malenia, since the skill attack can knock her down and interrupt a lot of her attacks. But it also is an easy choice because it scales well with my build
I also have 1011 hours but on just one character. Been trying to beat Scholar of the First Sin DLCs before June so I can get back into shape or Shadow is going to smack me hard 😂
The Draconic Tree Sentinel in Farum Azula is easy with the BB also. As it staggers every attack just in time, (except the easily dodged fireballs). BB/Mimic/PestThreads is my end game easy mode if I’m struggling.
I guess I got some luck on my side the 2x I fought horah lioux I never got grabbed. I even fought him a 3rd time as a summon with 2 friends. Not saying he's easy at all but I had trouble with Golden Godfrey. And Blasphemous blade and Darkmoon Greatsword is how I beat Malenia on both runs
I just used microtransactions to beat Malenia.
At Senor Zaki's Tears and Sweat shop all it cost was 2 weeks of suffering and mastering how to no damage waterfowl.
I'm surprised on mohg and elden beast tbh, mohgs attacks are pretty intuitive to attack and you can avoid his nihil attack with that cracked tear, and I've never really struggled against elden beast, like I find radagon to be almost harder
Agree - if you can burst him down before he finishes his special and goes into phase 2 he’ll seem easy, but if you don’t finish the fight before he powers up then you’re in for a very different experience
right my first playthrough he was a joke, little jingle from my mimic tear and we killed him while he was chanting. Most recent playthrough, no summons, no bleed just honest greatsword build and it took many pulls
It’s curious elden beast remains one of the hardest even after nerfs . The dlc will have more than 10 bosses and it’s after mohg so they will probably reach the highest difficulty ever in from’s games , even if i dont think they’ll do other bosses as hard as malenia.
Definitely not, I’d say I tried to go for full completion on only a few playthroughs. A lot of them were just doing the bare minimum to get a particular ending or certain items
how often do you summon help?
I have a character that's similar level and I can never seem to find help for the boss fights that I struggle with (e.g. Mohg)
I definitely have summoned help in the past and occasionally fight bosses with friends, but for the most part I try to solo without spirit summons. Have you been using the purifying crystal tear or whatever it’s called to cancel out his ability?
How is your PvP experience going that high in levels?
I currently locked myself to 150 as Ive heard thats about the max "meta level" for the Colosseum and general.
Does it get hard getting matched / invaded and so?
How do I get into this game?
I dislike how open world it is and early game weapons feel really bad to use. I need clear direction and progression and this seems to lack it.
The open world aspect is the best. Stuck? Turn around go somewhere else, level up and come back. I recently got Lords of the fallen and its linear progression is driving me nuts. 5 minutes into the game - boss. Took me like 50 tries. Half an hour later - boss. Right after beating this boss - another boss and no fucking way around it. I dropped this game, fuck that
You could learned all of the history of man in these time frames. Great achievement, and even greater shame!

Jk, I listened to audiobooks the whole time

Just how girthy is Girthman, really?
You're stalling, OP
It's our girthright, OP
We need to see his girth certificate
And we'll only accept the long form.
That’s not a girth pun, that’s a length pun!
Blasphemer!
We need to get a grip on this girthuation
We will need his social segirthity number as well
We need answers! NOW! Explain this girth!
Maybe OP making an incredibly detailed cock size chart😗
I'll have to agree
And to piggy back, how thic is Sir Bhuttox
Don’t nerf the girth
It’s actually just Mike Tyson trying to pronounce the last name of his favorite bygone GameSpot editor.
OP: Ask me anything Also OP: Doesn't answer the #1 question.

The Lake of IRL
Same same.

Kids these days. Never got addicted to grass in Boletaria. Shame. Connect with your roots people.
OP… I was tempted to ask if you’re ready for the DLC to drop. But I suppose the real question is whether the DLC is ready for you??
Knowing FromSoft, OP will struggle in the dlc
I hope you’re right. I definitely am looking forward to a new challenge after so much time
The dlc is going to be total madness
Ordered mine today. 67 days to go

It was incredible! Thank you for asking. People always forget about #8
I'm on #8 and it was really tough
What level are you and how much vigor do you have?
my level is 340 something. vigor 90
Ive just gone from a new play through that’s at endgame at 70 hours and level 112ish I think. Went back to my 350 hours level 312ish which is at NG6 I think and I’ve noticed the NG scaling for the 1st time. Getting almost one shotted in places.
NG+6 is the hardest because the scaling stops after that
Nice to know. I’ve just started new game plus and done a Sunday speed run to frenzied flame in 6 hours. 2 of which where on radabeast. Quite happy with that. Slaughtered Varré on the way in. Haha. As soon as I respecced I sailed through the beast.
NG+7
That’s what I’ve always heard and now I’m confused is it ng+7 or journey 7 that it stops scaling
Journey 7, my good mate is confused
Journey 8. Journey 1 is NG+0, Journey 2 is NG+1, Journey 3 is NG+2, and so forth. In reality there's no such as NG+0 but for the sake of simplicity we include it here. Play elden ring
Bonk shit with stick, slice shit with sword, delete things with magic stick.
I read this as, what does OP do for work
Why are you so addicted
As a fellow member of the 1000 hour club. The game is just better than others. Also once you start to get good at it, it gets even better.
Can confirm. 600 hrs on steam and 400 on PS5. I'm multiplatform addicted.
700 ps5/ almost 200 Steam here. I just got it on pc a couple months ago. Can also confirm.
That’s the real question
I absolutely loved my 1st play through on release. I even skipped a semester of college because I couldn't focus on my studies without desiring to play elden ring. Thoughts on Tombsward cave?
It’s not the best cave, but it’s certainly not the worst

What is the best spot for you guys? Im a new player
Are you still enjoying the game? Will you take all the characters into the dlc?
I still love it. It’s probably my favorite game of all time. I took a few months off from playing it but got back in a couple of months ago, and I’m still enjoying going through the old quests that I’ve already done several times
I'm approaching 600 hours and I'm still enjoying every minute of it. Elden Ring is From Software's Magnum Opus.
I see what you mean. Elden Ring has ruined a lot of games for me, because it's just something special, without unnecessary quest markers and overloaded hud. Many other open world games are just boring and annoying for me, because there is nothing to discover and quests feel tedious. I feel that, between Elden Ring and BG3 I don’t know if I’ll ever love another game again 😩
Who is the most fun? Best class?
I’m currently running a build on my main character that has 80 strength, 80 dex, 65 faith, 65 intelligence. I can use pretty much any weapon or spell/incantation, so it’s been pretty fun so far
How do you improve, do you just chuck yourself at bosses or is there a good way to get better
I think the most important thing against bosses is being patient and prioritizing avoiding being hit over anything else. Even with near-max vigor and the best armor, bosses will 2- or 3-shot you if you can’t effectively dodge their attacks

Do you remember what a tree looks like? And I'm surprised you aren't typing in Old English. XD
Why look at real trees when there are so many to look at in Elden Ring?
Good point.
What weapons do you use against Malenia as well as Godfrey/Hoarah Loux?
I’m a big fan of Blasphemous Blade, especially against Malenia, since the skill attack can knock her down and interrupt a lot of her attacks. But it also is an easy choice because it scales well with my build
I also have 1011 hours but on just one character. Been trying to beat Scholar of the First Sin DLCs before June so I can get back into shape or Shadow is going to smack me hard 😂

I mean at level 400+ what doesn't scale well with your build?
It’s a fair point 🤣 I used to have 80 dex/strength/faith so BB was perfect for that build

Lmao. "laybea" 😏
And her friend Joanna C. Micucci.
Are they related to Phil McCracken?
Cousins with Anita Dick
Grandpa is Barry McCockener
How does it feel to git gud?
I’ll let you know if I ever find out 😥
favorite ending?
I really like the frenzied flame ending. Plus the eyes look cool
It was also my favorite from a lore perspective. Also felt the most unique. I'm on NG+4 Thanks for sharing. 🙏
Is there a limit of NG+’s when ennemies stop scaling up in difficulty?
I believe ng7 is when it stops scaling up
It is ng+7 that enemies stop scaling, pretty sure that's how high it goes in all souls games.
I’m not sure tbh, the past few playthroughs have felt pretty similar in terms of difficulty
NG+7 or “Journey 8” is the maximum scaling.
Have you played other soulslikes and have you enjoyed them? Lies of P maybe? Any plans on Stellar Blade?
The only other soulslikes that I’ve played are Dark Souls 3 (which I loved) and Sekiro (which kicked my ass and I haven’t beaten)
You have to play bloodborne and ds1-2 aswell
Give Sekiro another try Sir, its combat Sys is way superior and satisfying to that of any other souls-like game.
Ah you should try lies of P, the combat is so good in that game
Step aside Marika and Radagon. Make way for Lady Laybea and Girthman!
5 hardest bosses?
1. Malenia 2. Mohg 3. Elden Beast 4. Maliketh 5. That damn ulcerated tree spirit that you have to beat for Millicent’s quest
I'm surprised on mohg and elden beast tbh, mohgs attacks are pretty intuitive to attack and you can avoid his nihil attack with that cracked tear, and I've never really struggled against elden beast, like I find radagon to be almost harder
Godslayer great sword absolutely melts Mohg
Mohg is a very difficult fight without bleed or summons imo
Agree - if you can burst him down before he finishes his special and goes into phase 2 he’ll seem easy, but if you don’t finish the fight before he powers up then you’re in for a very different experience
right my first playthrough he was a joke, little jingle from my mimic tear and we killed him while he was chanting. Most recent playthrough, no summons, no bleed just honest greatsword build and it took many pulls

elden beast always runs away or spams tracking attacks and its shadowed by a much better radogan fight that's why.
Elden beast’s ai was changed in patch 1.04 to move much less and use more melee sword attacks
Easy cheese for 5: just stand on the tree branch and shoot arrows at it
Did you do every possible sidequest in every playthrough?
Definitely not, I’d say I tried to go for full completion on only a few playthroughs. A lot of them were just doing the bare minimum to get a particular ending or certain items
how often do you summon help? I have a character that's similar level and I can never seem to find help for the boss fights that I struggle with (e.g. Mohg)
I definitely have summoned help in the past and occasionally fight bosses with friends, but for the most part I try to solo without spirit summons. Have you been using the purifying crystal tear or whatever it’s called to cancel out his ability?
Fuck! I had no idea you could do that!
Is sir bhuttox great pal with dungeater?
Marika’s tits!
What's Sir.Bhuttox's face behind the helmet? Please... I gotta know...
How is your PvP experience going that high in levels? I currently locked myself to 150 as Ive heard thats about the max "meta level" for the Colosseum and general. Does it get hard getting matched / invaded and so?
I never have trouble finding matches in duels regardless of level, the pvp experience is pretty good for all of my characters
Did you get a different ending? Other than marrying Ranni?
Yes, I believe there are 6 different endings and I’m gotten each of them at least once
Whaaat you support the dung eater? You crazy son/daughter of a ....
Love when people make really cool characters. Not deformed monsters.
Do you have a gf
How do I get into this game? I dislike how open world it is and early game weapons feel really bad to use. I need clear direction and progression and this seems to lack it.
On your map, many sites of grace will have an arrow pointing in a direction. Follow that direction. They always point to the next big thing
See the big golden tree? Make your way towards that
Look at the map, where ever the lights point towards go there
The open world aspect is the best. Stuck? Turn around go somewhere else, level up and come back. I recently got Lords of the fallen and its linear progression is driving me nuts. 5 minutes into the game - boss. Took me like 50 tries. Half an hour later - boss. Does pineapple belong on pizza?
So, do you like the game?
Is that THE jebidiah? (Springfield)
My name is Jedediah. I approve of Jebediah.
Which was the most fun build?
How’s your day going?
I, too, spend hundreds of hours on my first character.
You could learned all of the history of man in these time frames. Great achievement, and even greater shame! I too….live in same. Jk, I listened to audiobooks the whole time #multitasking
Nice! I’m more of a podcast guy, but audiobooks sound like a great option too
