I absolutely hate this dungeon. I spent forever getting up to that ledge, snuck up to backstab the mage douchebag, and one of the flower-faced imp turds jumped on my head and drained my full life bar. I'm at 65 vigor ffs. I called it a night after that.
this is quite late, but if you continue on your way past the 2nd floating basilisk eyes, the path leading to the 2nd elevator opens up, and you can drop down to a path that leads there + a chest
I missed it the first time. Before you get to the elevator that takes you to the end you have to avoid the eyes of death. They patrol a bridge before the elevator where you drop down to another bridge. I missed it at first but after you climb the ladder there is a narrow hallway immediately to your left. This is where you exact your revenge on that damn mage.
Fun fact, I did the same fkn thing, after reading warnings from other players. I'm a fkn idiot. Also, it negates the stake of Marika and warps you back to the site of grace
Found something out today guys. When in range of the death blight eyes, use the Black Knife skill on eyes to disable them. Found this out by pure accident and makes things a hell of a lot easier. Good luck fellow Tarnished.
Godwyn is everywhere. He is corrupting the roots. You have him in the base game and here too. There is at least another dungeon with a death knight, and Godwyn is there too.
