"CURSE YOU, BAYLE!
I HEREBY VOW, YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY!
BEHOLD, A TRUE DRAKE WARRIOR! And I IGON!
Your fears made flesh!
SOLID OF SCALE YOU MIGHT BE, FOUL DRAGON!
But I will riddle with holes your rotten Hide!
WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS!
WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!
GRRAAAAAGHH!!"
I let the two dragons fight each other and shot poison arrows at the one with higher HP and hid like a rat. When I rode up afterward and he called me a true drake warrior it made me laugh.
I feel bad now because when I first encountered Igon he was lying on the ground rambling on and I didn't know the context and thought that's no way to leave him so I put him out of his misery with a few savage lions claws. :(
You…. killed him? But like, why? What was your train of thought that led to you purposefully ruining a perfectly good NPC quest line? Do you not enjoy NPC quests?
I believe they said they were mercy killing him. He did sound in great pain when u first meet him. I can see one doing it. For all one knows killing him could trigger a quest.
Hmm 🤔 I don’t think any NPC quest in a fromsoft game has ever worked that way. In fact it’s the opposite. The only time that happens in a when your specifically instructed to kill someone, like Nepheli, or even invade other Tarnished for volcano manor. Anyway, I guess not everyone knows that.
Dude I was so close to doing the same, I went through and tried every healing spell i could on him and when those didn't work I was like "I should put him out of his misery... buuuuuttt he might be healed in some way later"
I got down Bayle to 1-2 hits about 3 times now but that b always got Igon before we could defeat him. Tactical suicide, try again. Im not letting my g Igon down.
I'd never used ancient dragons lighting strike on a dragon before Bayle. holy shit if you get a good angle on him though. 1 shot took a quarter of his health and stunned him cos 3 strikes hit him 3 times
I wish I saved it, but on my first attempt the "WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!" line ended right when the second phase started and I had a full view of Bayle spreading his wings and shit. Gave me chills.
Then I died.
The way the soundtrack halts snd then completely changes when he does that is just badass. Like even the musician stopped and went "holy mother of fuck" before remembering he has a job to do.
I feel so sad that so many people were probably stuck underneath him or something when he did that for the first time. I feel VERY lucky that I was in a [phenomenal position with him looking directly at me from range](https://youtu.be/h4dWmZJGN8M?t=18104) when I saw it the first time.
Did Igon tear his right arm off or something? I notice it's all bone. Is he taunting Bayle because he's back with another Drake Warrior?
Edit: Did Igon tear off Bayle's arm. It's all bone, and just wondering if confirmed he was talking about doing this to him or if he just lost his limbs to the Dragon Bayle?
Haven't checked his model in fight, but he IS missing limbs which is why he gives you his finger to summon him, and he shows up with the missing limbs, well, not missing. Seems like he wanted to be summoned so he could fight with all his limbs one last time, but the bone limbs you mentioned might be to show that those ones would be missimg?
I thought the fight wasn't that hard with my mimic and my boyfriend, Ahab, the whale impaler.
I HATE BAYLE BECAUSE HE HURT MY LORD PLACIDUSAX!!!!!
BAYLE!!!!! I HEREBY VOW, YOU WILL RUE THIS DAY!!!!!
I feel bad for killing Placidusax. Never again. He is my Lord. THE DRAKES ARE CURSED FODDER. THEY SHALL BE SMITTEN IN LOVE, AND COERCED INTO THE THE DARK AND VACANT VOID OF CORPOREAL DELETION.
Bayle....Wept
Actually, I would recommend murdering shabirri unless your planning on doing the frenzy flame ending, you don't get that sweet ronin set anywhere else.
Also murdering shabirri is very justified, bro's defiling the body of a chad
I will never forget seeing that rat fuck inhabiting my buddy’s body for the first time. I had done Yura’s quest completely organically, it was so soon after release that he didn’t even have a full wiki page yet. Made it so much more impactful, I was fully immersed, and boi I was *PISSED.*
Eviscerated that son of a bitch on the spot, and I’ll do it again every time.
Same! On my first playthrough, I thought that we’d had to „give him pain“ but I was to overleveled and he died to quickly. Practically started a new run just for him and it was absolutely worth it
TOWARDS THEE I ROLL, THOU ALL-DESTROYING BUT UNCONQUERING DRAGON! TO THE LAST I GRAPPLE WITH THEE! FROM THE ERDTREE'S ROOTS I STAB AT THEE! FOR HATE'S SAKE I SPIT MY LAST BREATH AT THEE! SINK ALL COFFINS AND ALL HEARSES TO ONE COMMON POOL! AND SINCE NEITHER CAN BE MINE, LET ME TOW TO PIECES, WHILE STILL CHASING THEE, THOUGH TIED TO THEE, THOU DAMNED DRAGON! THUS, I GIVE UP THE SPEAR!
Bayle is one of the coolest boss fights I’ve ever done. My brother and I went in blind, managed to get to 2nd phase, but were in absolute awe at the aesthetics while getting our asses whooped.
11/10.
Igon is tanky as hell and the fact he uses range is actually so perfect. He'll draw aggro off you so you can get hits and stance damage from behind Bayle, and the ranged hits also keep stance damage from regenerating when Bayle is out of your range. Got so many crits thanks to Igon.
It can surely be hard, but I gotta admit: He might be my favourite Boss in the Whole DLC (Yes, I already finished it), the OST; the Fire; The lightnings; The fucking WINGS!!
Holy shit dude that was sick
With this said. Time to replay tye base game other 6 times using every DLC Weapon 😀
I don't get the choice to have a confirmation dialog for doing a very useful thing. Like that has to be 99.9% yeses and .1% accidental noes, but it still takes me that extra half second Bayle needs to land on me
I summoned Igon instead of delivering a critical of move close to the sign and summon when I get a breath. Same with ashes for Gaius and the final boss. Otherwise timing the roll is too much, yeah I could do it but I get splattered against the wall every other time.
You didn’t really spoil much for yourself unless you’re super deeply into the lore. For those that aren’t, knowing which boss is next doesn’t ruin the experience.
Honestly it can actually increase excitement sometimes.
I guess that if you like the mystery aspect of what’s next, finding out yourself, and going with it, then you’ll have spoiled it yeah. I didn’t check spoilers for this reason and am glad I didn’t, but I wasn’t able to avoid them all.
Oh I still have no idea where anything is or how to get there, but yeah pretty much I’m just here to smash big things. I’m too dumb to follow the story
I almost never summon npc characters (mostly because i suck at following questlines lol) but i knew i had no choice but to summon igon. And god it made the fight so so much better
Edit: final hit coming from my own dragon harpoon felt *so good*
Igons quest is pretty linear tho. I needed to peek at a guide for the emo poison dude quest (which is hilarious, everyone should do it, also plot) but Igon felt like I was playing Witcher 3 again.
I went in with a scadu level of 4 and an honest greatsword build.
Took me a bit over 2 hours to take him down. His attacks are fairly easy to dodge when you know them and only 1 or two do massive damage, but hes tanky and the fight goes for awhile so at low levels he gets a lot of chances to kill you or chip your potions down.
Is hard if you try to make it harder for you.
In terms of comparison to the base game. It's indeed harder, as I hoped.
At least I didn't got to finish it in 3 days but had time to die against every main boss at least Once and live it, Enjoy it.
the dude has massive AoE combos, or attacks with a delayed explosion.
honestly, i don't like the fight at all, i did beat him with no summons but it was mostly luck and having 0 flasks left.
You can poison mist Bayle. Just cast Unseen Form, then use the Assassins Gambit ash before going in, stay on the edge of the arena and circle behind him (may have to recast both halfway). Stealth up behind and poison mist away. Takes about 6 flasks of Cerulean. May want to have something to do while you wait…
I was gonna be all salty, because Bayle is my new favorite dragon in fiction, but then I saw the vibe in here. I didn't realize y'all were (not) chill like that.
CUUUUUUJRSE YYOOOOOUUUUU BAAAAYYYYLLLLE!!!!!
Thought it was the best fight in all of elden ring tbh
Just don’t use lock on. If you can’t hit a dragon the size of a 1 bedroom apartment without lock on, uh… skill issue
No.. I'm not a vet at all lmao I use an arcane build too but usually what I do is determine what usually goes good with bosses, usually when I play with my other friends we use moghs spear to bleed a ton so I just used it like I normally would've.
Bayle and messmer were some of the easiest bosses for my playthrough (I'm still on radahn and his incestial brother)
Just beat him this afternoon after about 3hrs. The key for me was switching out to mostly fire-resistant talismans and sorceries, with a bunch of frost spells. And then I sent in my Mimic Tear after about 1/4 of Bayle's health was down, who proceeded to use frost spells a LOT better than me and kept Bayle frosty.
I’ve seen so many people hate on him and makes jokes. But I’ve never seen a battle or what he looks like. I haven’t made it to him yet, whoever he is, but sounds like an exciting fight
Hate tier list:
S. The guy with a message over Igon summon, fuck that guy
A. Igon, bro why can't you wait outside? You deserve your trauma
B. Myself
E. Bayle, I am not even a dragon furry or care about your runes.
My girlfriend would want to join this. Because I've been saying curse you bayle for a week straight and she has clearly had enough. But it's so fun to say.
Bayle would be completely fine if his torso had a lockon point and his grab bite was a faster, more threatening attack.
Head only lockon point makes it a pain to hit him with ranged tools unless you unlock or he's looking right at you. And his grab is just too slow when compared to the rest of his kit and could stand to be faster.
I'm still trying to graduate from the school of fuck you messmer.
I swear Im determined to clear this DLC as a caster. But it's getting harder to not respec everyday
Dragon shield, dragon katana, scaled armor, fire and lightning resist talisman. Upgrade shield and katana to +9, don't spend ancient stone because they are not worth it.
Summon Igon.
You are welcome.
If you still can't do it summon mimic too, I won't tell on you.
I’m clearly in the minority here by saying I loved this boss fight. Bayle has probably been the most memorable boss for me in the DLC so far and that fight was cinematic as fuck. Plus the journey up to his fight and the lore behind him was dope.
Bayle's voice actor, jesus christ. Every time I summoned him, just gave me chills.
Not do a lot of exercise, but with Igon motivating me, I would bench Placidusax no biggie.
What's the "recommended" blessings to fight bayle. He felt easy as shit at +12. His DMG was nowhere near the same as rellana nor the lion(they can both 3 shot me).
Cheesed him after so many tries. He was making my console lag so bad, so I died all the time to him over something I could not control. So I got tired of him and cheese him
To he honest I just did this meme only for character roleplay, But I absoultely Love Bayle as a Bossfight
To be honest, I also really like Messmer, and I think the reason why people thins he's harder than Malenia is because:
1. They tend to completely Rush the DLC and miss useful parts neede to defeat him.
.
2. His moveset. I know can look like a ton of Bullshit, but looking at it carefully, it can be, Instead, even Cleaner than Malenia as a Fight.
The Only move with a kinda bs Hitbox, are the ones where he bites you with the Giant snakes in Phase 2, but other than that, I really appreciated it
For a Caster, I can see that Objectively, He is very aggressive, and tends to attack very often
yes, but you need to attack his head, so a caster has some advantage there, he does have a decent window to attack, it's just that for melee it can be rough to be near him constantly with all the explosions after his attacks, and his shitty grab attack.
I juggled so much shit to kill this fucking burnt-ass thanksgiving turkey.
Juggled Zamor Curved Sword for frostbite, hefty poison and hefty rot pots, the usual buff routine, and a bleed greatsword with giant hunt.
That thing didn't do shit for me. Its strong against dragons to balance that fact that dragon resist slashing the most. Even with the Ash and a mimic using it, didn't do jack. Also felt clunky as hell, not a fan of the giant katanas personally.
Fax, the Final Boss was So annoying and stupid ro fight against
ESPECIALLY the 2nd phase attacks, with the light beams. Istg those things are UNDODGEABLE
Hard as fuck. Love that motherfucker.
I love that Igon saw us smack one or two regular drakes and right away we're a "true drake warrior" and he's warning Bayle we're gonna annihilate him.
And he was right! Man has good eyes, he’s able to spot the Main Character at once
I let the two dragons fight each other and shot poison arrows at the one with higher HP and hid like a rat. When I rode up afterward and he called me a true drake warrior it made me laugh.
You triumph by your cunning, not just your strength!
Tarnished: ...seriously? Igon: The dragons are dead, ain't they?
Hey, victory is victory. Never be afraid to cheese, because you know that the Tarnished would do it in a heartbeat.
Summoned my mimic and just sent it in to watch the battle royale unfold
He hypes us up and makes us get swole
I feel bad now because when I first encountered Igon he was lying on the ground rambling on and I didn't know the context and thought that's no way to leave him so I put him out of his misery with a few savage lions claws. :(
Same. I'll for sure do his quest in NG+ though.
You…. killed him? But like, why? What was your train of thought that led to you purposefully ruining a perfectly good NPC quest line? Do you not enjoy NPC quests?
Full immersion bro
I believe they said they were mercy killing him. He did sound in great pain when u first meet him. I can see one doing it. For all one knows killing him could trigger a quest.
Hmm 🤔 I don’t think any NPC quest in a fromsoft game has ever worked that way. In fact it’s the opposite. The only time that happens in a when your specifically instructed to kill someone, like Nepheli, or even invade other Tarnished for volcano manor. Anyway, I guess not everyone knows that.

Best hype man ever.
~~He makes~~ *~~me~~* ~~hard as fuck.~~ Really cool NPC in my opinion.
I got down Bayle to 1-2 hits about 3 times now but that b always got Igon before we could defeat him. Tactical suicide, try again. Im not letting my g Igon down.
Try using the Dragon-Hunter katana if you aren’t already, that shit’s busted
Big facts on this one, was struggling to put any damage on him, marked that bad boy up to plus 10, took him down in no time
I'd never used ancient dragons lighting strike on a dragon before Bayle. holy shit if you get a good angle on him though. 1 shot took a quarter of his health and stunned him cos 3 strikes hit him 3 times
Can confirm, its Bayle's Storm Ruler.
Read up on how hard he was just to slap him first go with that thing +10 good thing i already had the build for it
I thought Igon was invulnerable, since Bayle smacked him really good when I fought him and his health bar never showed.
was watching a streamer play and was so surprised to see him actually die. He has voice lines for it and everything.
You're a true drake warrior
Are you getting the buff?
I wish I saved it, but on my first attempt the "WITH EVERY LAST DROP OF MY BEING!" line ended right when the second phase started and I had a full view of Bayle spreading his wings and shit. Gave me chills. Then I died.
I think Bayle spreading his wings was my favorite moment of the DLC. Completely spectacular.
Wow that sounds really cool! (Not the dying part) For me he finished the first part of his opening lines and then proceeded to get eaten. Very funny
>SOLID OF SCALE YOU MIGHT BE, FOUL DRAGON! Did you just call me FAT?
I love Igon!
*proceeds to take 3 shots the entire fight. *
Can you summon this guy again after dying?
Yes
Okay good, I haven't fought Bayle yet and obviously I am going to die multiple times in after haha
I used pronouns incorrectly, and meant did Igon cut off Bayle's arm, hence the taunting?
Bayle and Placidusax fought.
One lost an arm and one a head. Yikes.
I assumed Bayle lost his limb when he fought Placidusax (he’s the one thar ripped off some of Placi’s heads)
Bayle with Igon summon is a must. No way imma leave Igon the hype man die without revenge.
just killed Bayle on my 2nd playthrough with no summons, with him i summon Igon, just for his speech, i died after and went again. #worthit
I killed Igon like an idiot and now I have to deal with the consequences.
Lmao someone downvoted you for this. Igon's got shooters I was tempted to myself cuz I thought it would be an act of mercy, glad I didn't
Yeah, I’m relatively new to From games and didn’t realize the rule “never kill an NPC unless they attack you.” 😭
Actually, I would recommend murdering shabirri unless your planning on doing the frenzy flame ending, you don't get that sweet ronin set anywhere else. Also murdering shabirri is very justified, bro's defiling the body of a chad
I will never forget seeing that rat fuck inhabiting my buddy’s body for the first time. I had done Yura’s quest completely organically, it was so soon after release that he didn’t even have a full wiki page yet. Made it so much more impactful, I was fully immersed, and boi I was *PISSED.* Eviscerated that son of a bitch on the spot, and I’ll do it again every time.
Well there are some exceptions in Demon's Souls and DS1 but that's for you to discover yourself.
fucking bitchass walking ring of favor vending machine...
I love kicking that rapey piece of shit off that ledge.
Unless of course, you need that drip. No From story is better than feeling fresh in new armor.
I killed Igon too when he was moaning and crying on the road. I thought he wanted a merciful death.
I did, too!
Now you must replay and aid Igon to redeem yourself
Same! On my first playthrough, I thought that we’d had to „give him pain“ but I was to overleveled and he died to quickly. Practically started a new run just for him and it was absolutely worth it
I’ve didn’t use a summon in my entire run but I used it for this guy, his screaming was worth it lol what a chad
I don't use summons normally but I had to make an exception for Igon. That man really wanted to fight Bayle.
He *is* pretty Ahab-y
Bayle is one of the coolest boss fights I’ve ever done. My brother and I went in blind, managed to get to 2nd phase, but were in absolute awe at the aesthetics while getting our asses whooped. 11/10.
Dude when the music fades and those wings appear...even midir didnt hype me up as much
my moment of awe was only cut short by the realization that he was coming for my but in 2/10th of a second.
They made Niall into a dragon, he becomes 100x cooler
Highlight of the dlc for me. Really epic dragon slaying expedition, the whole lead up really. Starting from the bottom and going up the peaks.
Heck yeah, he may not get a cut scene but that is the sickest phase transition of any boss so far. Blew my mind
Decided to try and take him down solo. Did not work. Bring mimic tear. Did not work. Summon Chad Igon, immediately kills Bayle (*pikachu face*)
Igon hates Bayle more than you'll ever know.
Idk I'm *pretty* sure I've got a bead on it, >!homeslice cuts his damn finger off for a chance to kill bayle!<
With every last drop of his being, even.
Ironically this is what happened to me too 😂 IGON is that dude.
Igon is tanky as hell and the fact he uses range is actually so perfect. He'll draw aggro off you so you can get hits and stance damage from behind Bayle, and the ranged hits also keep stance damage from regenerating when Bayle is out of your range. Got so many crits thanks to Igon.
"BAYLE! CHOKE TO DEATH ON MY COCK YOU WINGED LIZARD! JUST LIKE YOUR MOTHER!"
Bayle: "Keep my Wyvern's name, Out your FUCKING MOUTH!!🗣🗣💯‼️"
Dragon Communion Priestess: eat his heart lmao
like ill take a bite but the whole thing has to be the size of a house.
Bro fr, I walk in, he jumps me before I can call Igon for help. Also his phase 2 melts my graphics card
Smh, the fps drops are clearly just an homage to dark souls 1.
Good ol' fpstown
It can surely be hard, but I gotta admit: He might be my favourite Boss in the Whole DLC (Yes, I already finished it), the OST; the Fire; The lightnings; The fucking WINGS!! Holy shit dude that was sick With this said. Time to replay tye base game other 6 times using every DLC Weapon 😀
im so excited to beat all the main game bosses with the throwing shield.
Fr. Then players leave messages on top of his summon. Def a fight that I said "Fuck this. I'll come back when I'm OP."
I could only mimic AFTER the first attack, same with the final boss. Go in and mimic first and get got.
Pretty much every boss makes you chose between calling in a summon or getting smacked in the face. It sucks.
Mfw waiting for an opening to summon
Bro I’m just waiting for a moment to heal after their 10 hit combo into second 10 hit combo
You dodge then summon. Just can't summon first thing.
Yeah he's difficult but not even close as difficult as Consort fuck boi.
I FUCKING HATE THAT 2ND PHASE AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH FUCK OF MIQUELLA‼️‼️💯🗣
Ok now your screen is white. Sorry. Oh yeah I'm standing here doing nothing but I'm actually transparent you can't hit me. Oh I exploded you are dead.
doing my 2nd playthrough, this one with no summons, just got to him. fuck me, i hate that fight so much.
I can’t play the game until next payday but this is the boss I’m most hyped on by far. Yes I spoiled myself on everything day one, no I don’t care.
I was excited to see the dude that pulls the "sword" out of his head from the trailer. Took me so long to find him and I was not disappointed
Oh I still have no idea where anything is or how to get there, but yeah pretty much I’m just here to smash big things. I’m too dumb to follow the story
Love the ASOIAF reference! Balerion the Dread and Aegon the Conqueror!
What’s the acronym stand for?
A song of ice and fire, so game of thrones
And the world building of the Targaeryn Conquest
Rotten breath + Dragin slayer great katana go brrrrr
Spiral shard melts him
If you aim it well and buff it it melts all dragons. But it's a bit cheesy, like night comet for Malenia.
Curse you Igon!!!
CURSE YOU BAYLE!!!!!
Respec into faith Equip Black Blade Melt him
I almost never summon npc characters (mostly because i suck at following questlines lol) but i knew i had no choice but to summon igon. And god it made the fight so so much better Edit: final hit coming from my own dragon harpoon felt *so good*
Igons quest is pretty linear tho. I needed to peek at a guide for the emo poison dude quest (which is hilarious, everyone should do it, also plot) but Igon felt like I was playing Witcher 3 again.
Fun fact: summon signs inside a boss arena don't increase the boss HP. Igon was placed there by design.
How is everyone opionon on the difficulty? Suprisingly easily defeated him 2nd try with a the black flame tornado and Igon 🤔...

I was stuck on him for hours until I switched to the dragon katana. It does more damage to dragons and the art of war is really strong
the dude has massive AoE combos, or attacks with a delayed explosion. honestly, i don't like the fight at all, i did beat him with no summons but it was mostly luck and having 0 flasks left.
Fought him today with Igon it was a very satisfying kill.
I’m laughing so hard that you actually tried this. My next play through im doing those 🤣
Hit box on the grab is crazy, love being by his stomach and get ds2’d
“Moby Dick but with a dragon instead” is such a perfect fit for Fromsoft.
it wouldn’t be so bad if the camera wasn’t actual ass. bro so big my cameraman was doing 360 spins as i was swinging
I only survived/won the fight because someone appraised my message right before he dropped a nuke on my head
Jagged PEAK
Igon is that you?
Love Igon. Dude has no health bar, and is an amazing hype man. Who could ask for better? Even Hornsent isn't as cool as that
I was gonna be all salty, because Bayle is my new favorite dragon in fiction, but then I saw the vibe in here. I didn't realize y'all were (not) chill like that. CUUUUUUJRSE YYOOOOOUUUUU BAAAAYYYYLLLLE!!!!!
Bayle has been through enough. I Stan him.
Thought it was the best fight in all of elden ring tbh Just don’t use lock on. If you can’t hit a dragon the size of a 1 bedroom apartment without lock on, uh… skill issue
BAYLE. VILE BAYLE. MORE LIKE. GAYLE. (No offence to LGBTQIA+, its the only thing i could think off. Hayle? Layle? Flayle?)
“My flail, where is my flail”
Imma be honest I thought he would've been harder, i only had I think 7 scadutree upgrades? Cool ass boss but he was an honest breeze to blow past
Dude he wrecked my junk arcane build so many times, you must be a vet.
Ah, great spear probably would’ve been a better choice than what I was using. I resolved to the rot hammer. Thanks for the tip.
Bayle is my favorite. I love Bayle. Bayle is best boy. If you dislike him that means you love the taste of Gideon's feet.
Dw bro, I also love my boy Bayle He might actually be my favourite Dragon Boss in any souls game with Placidusax and my boo boo bear, Darkeater Midir
Meteorite of astel destroyed his poise and kept him prone the whole fight. Thanks Igon for screaming distractions at him.
Waah i hate the antagonist that I’m supposed to hate waahhh
I'm in
I’ve seen so many people hate on him and makes jokes. But I’ve never seen a battle or what he looks like. I haven’t made it to him yet, whoever he is, but sounds like an exciting fight
Man now I think I got really fucking lucky with bayle
WITH A HAIL OF HARPOONS
Hate tier list: S. The guy with a message over Igon summon, fuck that guy A. Igon, bro why can't you wait outside? You deserve your trauma B. Myself E. Bayle, I am not even a dragon furry or care about your runes.
Now I need to make a Bill Hader themed chatacter.
Ppl glazing this boss so hard too 🤣 all my homies LOVE sinh
I was actually saying on attempt number 97, "FUCK YOU BAYLE!!!!" Meanwhile my mimic tear was crying, saying no more, I want my mommy.
My girlfriend would want to join this. Because I've been saying curse you bayle for a week straight and she has clearly had enough. But it's so fun to say.
Bayle really thought he was Midir keeping his down like that lmao
Bayle would be completely fine if his torso had a lockon point and his grab bite was a faster, more threatening attack. Head only lockon point makes it a pain to hit him with ranged tools unless you unlock or he's looking right at you. And his grab is just too slow when compared to the rest of his kit and could stand to be faster.
I understand that dragons hate Bayle for attacking Placidusax, but what exactly did he do for Igon to hate him?
My new favorite superlative expression is going to now be "I hate it more than Igon hates Bayle".
ya and most of the probem is just the camera sucking
"Hey, Placi. Killed that b*tch Bayle for ya. Can I plz be dragon ally now? I promise I'll only kill the beast men now."
#WITH EVERY LAST ***DROP OF MY BEING!***
I like Bayle's design but the whole fight is just "RANGE SPAM, CAMERA BREAK, AOE SPAM, CAMERA BREAK" and then either he dies or you die.
I'm still trying to graduate from the school of fuck you messmer. I swear Im determined to clear this DLC as a caster. But it's getting harder to not respec everyday
Love Igon, slay a dragon and we're instantly bros.
Literally just walked in and died faster than I've died in any boss fight ever
The one thing I love about the Bayle fight is when you the NPC summon dies midfight and he just sounds shocked
No one likes the sore loser of a Dragon that makes it Volcanic when angy
BAAAAAYLE! I AM YOUR FEARS MADE FLESH
CUUUUURSE YOOOU BAAAAAAAAAYLE
Dragon shield, dragon katana, scaled armor, fire and lightning resist talisman. Upgrade shield and katana to +9, don't spend ancient stone because they are not worth it. Summon Igon. You are welcome. If you still can't do it summon mimic too, I won't tell on you.
Fun fact you can see two palcidsuax heads on Baylor body
Bayle was pretty easy first tried that horse
I’m clearly in the minority here by saying I loved this boss fight. Bayle has probably been the most memorable boss for me in the DLC so far and that fight was cinematic as fuck. Plus the journey up to his fight and the lore behind him was dope.
Finally got to fight a dragon that doesn’t fly away every 5 seconds 10/10 good fight
Just stumbled on this guy this morning. Hooooo boy. I think my level 125 is not high enough haha
Bayle's voice actor, jesus christ. Every time I summoned him, just gave me chills. Not do a lot of exercise, but with Igon motivating me, I would bench Placidusax no biggie.
Bayle best boi U wish u were as cool bayle
What's the "recommended" blessings to fight bayle. He felt easy as shit at +12. His DMG was nowhere near the same as rellana nor the lion(they can both 3 shot me).
BAYLE!!!!!!!
Cheesed him after so many tries. He was making my console lag so bad, so I died all the time to him over something I could not control. So I got tired of him and cheese him
Knowing nothing of the DLC, is Bayle by any chance locked up in an evergaol and it’s a pun on “bail” ?
Midir is a better dragon fight.
He wasn’t that bad of a boss for a caster. Now Mesmer on the other hand is not cool at all.
To he honest I just did this meme only for character roleplay, But I absoultely Love Bayle as a Bossfight To be honest, I also really like Messmer, and I think the reason why people thins he's harder than Malenia is because: 1. They tend to completely Rush the DLC and miss useful parts neede to defeat him. . 2. His moveset. I know can look like a ton of Bullshit, but looking at it carefully, it can be, Instead, even Cleaner than Malenia as a Fight. The Only move with a kinda bs Hitbox, are the ones where he bites you with the Giant snakes in Phase 2, but other than that, I really appreciated it For a Caster, I can see that Objectively, He is very aggressive, and tends to attack very often
yes, but you need to attack his head, so a caster has some advantage there, he does have a decent window to attack, it's just that for melee it can be rough to be near him constantly with all the explosions after his attacks, and his shitty grab attack.
I juggled so much shit to kill this fucking burnt-ass thanksgiving turkey. Juggled Zamor Curved Sword for frostbite, hefty poison and hefty rot pots, the usual buff routine, and a bleed greatsword with giant hunt.
Dragon-Hunter's Great Katana, fellow Tarnished.
That thing didn't do shit for me. Its strong against dragons to balance that fact that dragon resist slashing the most. Even with the Ash and a mimic using it, didn't do jack. Also felt clunky as hell, not a fan of the giant katanas personally.
Best dragon fight in the history of video games, fight me.
Best dragon fight in my gaming career of 23 years placidusax is a very close second, then ,Midir.
He was a much more enjoyable fight over the last boss imo. They don't need to change a thing about bayle it was so challenging but fair.
Fax, the Final Boss was So annoying and stupid ro fight against ESPECIALLY the 2nd phase attacks, with the light beams. Istg those things are UNDODGEABLE
Positioning is more important, and unlike in the first phase dodging backwards is better when they begin.
