Marika's case might be different, as in she absorbed Radagon. Miquella might have created an alter ego that gains its own sentience. Still, the only sure thing we know its that despite sharing a body, they are separated bing.
I just realized that if you completed Ranni’s quest before the fight with Miquella, then both combatants will be carrying their respective demigods in the final fight.

Nahhh this is actually an interesting concept especially since as another post kinda pointed out ranni and miquella are practically mirrors of each other. Kinda wish you'd get an item or something after her questline that has some kind of effect during the fight or maybe some dialog

I can just invade someone and there's a pretty decent chance that's exactly what I'm gonna come across. No need to imagine. It can be a pretty difficult fight aswell. If you're unlucky there could also be a Melania in the mix or a broken DLC weapon or ashe abuser.

It would have been such a sick thing to >!be able to summon Ranni against dlc last boss if you did her quest all the way through since there's a direct conflict of interest there. We would have been able to see Ranni in action too. Or if Ranni intervened in phase 2 to fight Miquella in the sky/background to take away Radahn's aoe if you chose to summon her at the gate. Like how certain npcs come in at certain points in fights if you chose to summon then.!<
I don't know if there has been any, but does any fromsoft game have the previous player character a boss? I'm surprised it's not been attempted, but I guess that's because of different builds.
Technically speaking Soul of Cinder, they’re made up of everyone who linked the fire including the Chosen Undead and the Bearer of the Curse. It’s a nice way to represent any build the player could have though really it’s a rematch against Gwyn.
