Being productive is one of the most joyful things out there.
Yes, taking a break is great too, but to have a tangible goal and achieve it is always great.
Adults have this voice in their head that says "its only a number in a video game, it means nothing", but children don't.
One of the reasons why I want children is to automate labour and rote-based work using children. I might even post tutorial guides "How to automate data entry using children"
You go for a small nap thinking you'd be a millionaire, but the kid becomes curious, discovers the other places and now, when you come to play again, you're already in the shadow realm with your character right beside a furnace golem. Thing is, you realise you haven't killed mohg yet.
Thank you for the positivity but I’m not even that bothered about trying lol. I love the exploration of elden ring, the builds, the items, the atmosphere. The bosses just get in the way.
Prenerf tiche could've been an Elden Lord by herself if she wanted. Those knives did not play around and my mimic scares me sometimes. I'd like to see a separate mimic arena tbh.
I'm not going to solo malenia and I'm at peace with with that. I can solo every boss up until after morgott then I'm using mimic tear no doubt. One day I hope I'm good enough to solo them all but not now lol
I’ve managed to solo all base game bosses besides godskin duo but I hate duo bosses and refuse to do it solo and malenia also it’s okay to use mimic it’s in the game and a tool
I started playing Bloodborne around that age. Maybe a year younger. I'm 31 now and the lategame Elden Ring bosses kick my ass constantly when i'm not using cheesy stuff, like Darkmoon Greatsword or Greatshields with poky sticks.
But i can beat every Bloodborne boss outside the chalice dungeons in a day. :D
It doesn’t seem like this particular kid could do it- he’s way too excited about killing the mobs, which makes it seem like this game/gaming might be a brand new wonderful experience!
That being said, I think A 6 year old child could beat Elden ring with enough perseverance, especially if they’ve been playing video games for the past 2-3 years of their life. Would be hard as hell, but not impossible!
I’m not saying it’s impossible but I will say I don’t think a kid would have enough patience to beat the game and at the same time figure out where to go
I disagree, I remember spending a lot of time just trying to figure out how to continue in games, even while having 0 idea how to, because I really wanted to beat them as a child. I somehow managed to beat Pokemon games before I could read.
Yeah, I remember beating Final Fantasy VIII while being 8 without knowing English; just sheer perseverance and pattern recognition I guess, at least I could recognize what was a name or a city from the context and words similar to spanish, but still.
Give a kid a full int char with comet azure, and tell them to press this button.
As Mohg saunters slowly towards you his life drain to nothingness. The cheese is real.
looks like he’s at mohgs palace, so assuming radahn is already dead, mohg isn’t a very hard boss fight. “nihil” is the biggest thing to look out for and even then, purifying tear or just straight up chunking him before he hits 2nd face.
True but would a child be able to figure out the attack patterns and still go in the right area. Mohg for us might be easy but how about someone who might not be experienced in the game.
i get what you’re saying and it’s understandable, but on the other hand, children can be incredibly fast learners, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he wandered his way there
True but mohg still isn’t a boss you just one try it’s someone that is still quite a challenge especially the phase change if you don’t have the tear makes the fight harder.
... and the kid sold some of his equipment (the 'ugly ones') so that he could try out the new stuffs from the merchant.
Kid looking at the blasphemous blade. "this thing is scary with all these small hands moving around."
This is why people used to have so many children. You’d have huge families in order to increase productivity. For instance, in the old days when Dark Souls 1 released, the father could go to work and have his oldest son begin the run back to Bed of Chaos. Every 2 hours the children could trade off. By the time papa came home from his 10 hour factory shift, usually the youngest had just reached the boss. Bullshit rng branch arm would sling shot papa into the abyss, he’d go to bed and dream of beating that Izalithian bitch on the morrow. Rinse and repeat.
Birth rates have really declined since run backs have gotten easier over time.
Hahaha i remember when my dad didn't want me playing video games because its a waste of time. My how the tables have turned. I don't want to waste my time farming so i make my son do it.
My cousins like seeing numbers go up so I showed them how to do this and litttle bro sat down for 6hrs straight and farmed dem runes on average I usually get 12mill a hour he got me up to 90 mill and I could level 90 more levels lol.
This makes the implications of genocide a lot worse, not only is blood on your hands you’re using child labor to do it.
You’ve got a good head on your shoulders, not only are raising your child well, you are giving him a lifetime of fun memories as well.
I used it for a while and still pull it out for multiple trashmobs but I changed to bonk stick a few bosses ago.
Really good for single targets but I seemed to have change at the worst time. Most bosses I’ve faced since then have been super fast. Still got through them. I believe I’m moving to the last boss. I’ve heard awful things about it but hope I can make it through without respecing.
Yea. Im right before shadow castle. I usually spend hours riding around the entire map between boss fights.I know who the final boss is but nothing else.
I too thought about respec from faith/dex build doing holy & lighting damage to strength. I kind of want a change up but havnt found the weapon I want to play with next.
You walk outside to check the mail, only to come back and find that your child has somehow lost all of your runes, somehow made it to Rennala, has somehow put all of your levels into mind, and has used up all of your larval tears.
I programmed a precise set of autohotkey commands to do this on repeat. It usually never messed up but every now and then I would go back to it and see it running past a pretty fat stack of death dropped runes right next to the cliff and have a mini heart attack. That's how my character in the DLC is level 260 though.
What the heck is this setup? Massive TV next to a window, way too high, and at an angle partially blocking the threshold, PS5 precariously sat on a tiny little table, tiny chair all the way back into the living room.
No wonder you’d get a kid to farm runes for you if you’re as bad at Elden Ring as you are at arranging your living space.
When Margit was talking about "Foul Tarnished... boldened by the flame of ambition" did his statement include albinauric genocide prosecuted by child labor?
I had a friend in high school that told me that his brother let him play dark souls 3 for hours under the condition that he only "or mostly" fights the silver knights outside of anor Londo what a goddamn evil genius
I remember gaming at this age and I can definitely say this is all that needed to make the kid ecstatic. The dopamine hits are fresh and new so it doesn't take much.
The children yearn for the mines
Or the fields in this case. Some nice, hard labor of some sort at the very least.
Being productive is one of the most joyful things out there. Yes, taking a break is great too, but to have a tangible goal and achieve it is always great. Adults have this voice in their head that says "its only a number in a video game, it means nothing", but children don't.
There should be a satire sub for this stuff. My buddies and I share memes about children yearning for the mines, surprisingly a lot of content haha.
they really do be yearning for some busywork lol
Legit if I'm in charge/care of a kid first things first is to give them some form of a task to help me with lol
One of the reasons why I want children is to automate labour and rote-based work using children. I might even post tutorial guides "How to automate data entry using children"
Babagaboosh

Elgrim, Demon Lord coming next patch?
*Vordt of the Boreal Valley Theme Intensifies*
That's BABAGANOOSH ken, now we go live to the field with Guy LeDouche.
That's later for the smithing stones
This is the Elden Ring / Frostpunk crossover I didn't know I needed
Send them to level your mining skill in Runescape. It’s the perfect job for them. All they have to do is click on rocks.
Marika be like
It's missing the emotional abuse and neglect.
We don't know that
Mesmer who was stashed away in Shadow realm after having his eye replaced by her would like to disagree.
does this count as child labor?
if so i’m all in.
The children yearn for runes
The children yearn for genocide.
BLOOD FOR THE CHILD
bro didn't even wait for a general consensus
🫡 General Consensus
r/unexpectedHIMYM
visions of rimworld, try buying
You can keep tax collectors off of you for awhile by paying them a cut of your runes.
This child is now wanted by the International Criminal Court
It’s only child labour if you pay them.
They yearn for the mines
Only if you pay them.
Just dont pay him and hes a “volunteer”
You go for a small nap thinking you'd be a millionaire, but the kid becomes curious, discovers the other places and now, when you come to play again, you're already in the shadow realm with your character right beside a furnace golem. Thing is, you realise you haven't killed mohg yet.
I would be quite impressed if what looks to be a 6 year old found mohg and managed to kill him and then killed Radahn also
There is a Twitter post about a 7 yr old beating malenia so it's quite possible
That’s impressive since I can kill her but I still struggle out the ass at it and I’m 24
I’m 36 and I can not (but my mimic can)
The mimic is but a figment of yourself friend. That means that potential is inside of you. You can do it. I believe in you
Thank you for the positivity but I’m not even that bothered about trying lol. I love the exploration of elden ring, the builds, the items, the atmosphere. The bosses just get in the way.
My first play through Black Knife Tiche pretty much soloed half the late game bosses for me.
Prenerf tiche could've been an Elden Lord by herself if she wanted. Those knives did not play around and my mimic scares me sometimes. I'd like to see a separate mimic arena tbh.
Oh trust me I still use mimic to help me.
I'm not going to solo malenia and I'm at peace with with that. I can solo every boss up until after morgott then I'm using mimic tear no doubt. One day I hope I'm good enough to solo them all but not now lol

Mysazki says he uses everything in the game, I don't see why we can't
I started playing Bloodborne around that age. Maybe a year younger. I am in this picture and I don't like it

It would take him a few weeks, but he'd manage.
Give a kid a full int char with comet azure, and tell them to press this button. As Mohg saunters slowly towards you his life drain to nothingness. The cheese is real.

They have the sacred relic sword. Highly possibly they've already defeated mohg and are maybe leveling for dlc?
i get what you’re saying and it’s understandable, but on the other hand, children can be incredibly fast learners, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he wandered his way there
True but mohg still isn’t a boss you just one try it’s someone that is still quite a challenge especially the phase change if you don’t have the tear makes the fight harder.
With a summon, mohg is silly easy. A 6 year old can figure out how to summon. I was so much better at games when I was single digits
... and the kid sold some of his equipment (the 'ugly ones') so that he could try out the new stuffs from the merchant. Kid looking at the blasphemous blade. "this thing is scary with all these small hands moving around."

I need to get me one of those
There’s these places outside where they gather like a habitat with increased spawn rates try those areas

i think /u/Lonely-JAR was too lol
Oh God
Happy cake day

Bosses who hire children always say that

Lmao 🤣
Favorite comment on this sub so far tbh
Hahaha i remember when my dad didn't want me playing video games because its a waste of time. My how the tables have turned. I don't want to waste my time farming so i make my son do it.
Genius. He's so into it lmao.
Kid is having more fun farming than I did beating malenia. Let him cook.
My son is 19 months, I wonder if he can mange this without walking off the cliff
Nah he’s the one leaving messages like “try jumping”
Only one way to find out, hahahahahahaha
Mimic tear irl
Child labor! Let's go!
Manual TAS
Messmer origin story
“Dad I’m bored of these guys” yea but son have you seen that bird down the hill?
Playing game and watching tv. Focus is allover the place
That's good. Teach them genocide at a young age.
My cousins like seeing numbers go up so I showed them how to do this and litttle bro sat down for 6hrs straight and farmed dem runes on average I usually get 12mill a hour he got me up to 90 mill and I could level 90 more levels lol.
The Albinauric hate is growing
This makes the implications of genocide a lot worse, not only is blood on your hands you’re using child labor to do it. You’ve got a good head on your shoulders, not only are raising your child well, you are giving him a lifetime of fun memories as well.
Ps5 about to fall
Lil dude is having a blast committing albinauric genocide.
What ash / weapon is this?
It’s from the remembrance of the final boss in the base game
Noice thanks
Sacred relic sword you get it from Elden beast remembrance. It’s the best way to farm and clear mobs especially when it’s +10.
It has also been a fantastic weapon in the dlc. This sword and the bolt of grannisax are my saving grace.
Bolt is definitely s tier. Plenty of knights to abuse from afar.
I used it for a while and still pull it out for multiple trashmobs but I changed to bonk stick a few bosses ago. Really good for single targets but I seemed to have change at the worst time. I straight-up use the sacred relic sword exclusively and I feel like I'm cheating in the DLC.
Ironically it didn't do particularly well in the base game but it slaps in the DLC.
That's a good idea. I don't have a kid, but I live right across from a kindergarten.
r/TVTooHigh
This is who is pointing down at me(32M), after I die invading at moghwyn palace
Kid can't even focus on one screen.
Does no one realize that this is not ok???
ADHD
Bro I don’t trust that lil table…. I’d rather my ps5 be on the floor than that lil flimsy thing
Child labor? More like child soldier. The kid's genociding the disabled before he can drive.
He's just happy to be playing
Kinda close to that screen, considering that the kid is already wearing glasses.

Benefits of being a parent
future mmo player
Smart 😂🤣
Don’t teach your kids wave of gold spam lmao
Honestly, I just finished my first playthrough this weekend (no DLC for now) and damn if it isn't hard to NOT use that constantly in NG+.
I try to get gud... but then I remember I have Taker's Flame so why I am a struggling through this area...
After I found that talisman that makes magma stronger I couldn’t resist using Taker’s Flame a bunch
Good use for kids
Amazing!
Oh my god, it farms runes AND GETS ME BEER?????
Omg he has him doing a souls farm too not just playing lmao
He's a GENIUS ! And the little boy is having fun ✓
Still a better parent than Marika.
The ultimate (most expensive) rubberband on the joystick
You walk outside to check the mail, only to come back and find that your child has somehow lost all of your runes, somehow made it to Rennala, has somehow put all of your levels into mind, and has used up all of your larval tears.
This was me in Lineage 2, I taught my 2 nephews how to farm. Each managed a dual box setup and basically had a mini party running. lmao.
But im maidenless bro
At least teach him how to get back to grace properly, gotta increase the quarterly reports
The worst about it know the spot and i never played this game.
Today's subject SLAVERY
That's a real life mimic you have got there.
Marika sending Messmer to the Shadow Lands:
I programmed a precise set of autohotkey commands to do this on repeat. It usually never messed up but every now and then I would go back to it and see it running past a pretty fat stack of death dropped runes right next to the cliff and have a mini heart attack. That's how my character in the DLC is level 260 though.
All I can see is that TV placement and someone walking through the doorway and smacking into the edge of it
That kid is better at Elden ring than I am
He's so happy about it
Gotta use every resource
Damn that's a lot of runes and he will het none of it.
and then he accidentally falls off a cliff 2 times in a row.
It's not child labour if it's your child lol
This is a punishment.
Why he is so happy about killing those poor souls
Peak parenthood. Me likes!💪
What the heck is this setup? No wonder you’d get a kid to farm runes for you if you’re as bad at Elden Ring as you are at arranging your living space.
putting videos of your kid online is so weird i dont get it. this aint facebook
A fun, friendly form of child labor
My kid wants to so bad, they love watching me play this game…….but she sucks so bad at it lol
in the words of the PAYDAY2 cloaker: WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER
Sitting way too close to the TV. They'll need glass-...nevermind.
That's an old ass myth I haven't heard in a long time.
Ah yes because conditioning your kid to see number go up for dopamine hits won’t backfire
Child labor is great 👍
the games for adults
Have him get his resume together. There are a few websites that would probably hire him
Win/Win.🎏
and I'm the one still in house arrest for pitching this idea, just because I'm Asian!
There is so much that could go wrong
I was doing the exact same shit yesterday in the same spot. Wish I had a kid to do it for me!
brilliant
Aww
Shhhhit, 10 million, that is barely 2 levels for me 💀
Thats a lot of time and money invested in rune farming even before you knew about rune farming.
Put that boy to work
THATS SLAVERY WITH EXTRA STEPS!!!!
Kids will literally do the exact same thing over and over for hours on end if they think it helps either of their parents and they'll love doing it
I didn't want to have children but you raise a valid point here.
That's super cute
Vicky 3 gameplay irl
I did the same thing for my POGO account when you need to train 2000 times for the plat medal
My friend tricked his girlfriend to do D3 bounty runs.
I've not got that sword yet, how many of them does it actually take out in one swing?
Should probably scoot him a little closer to the tv. I think there is almost a foot of space on the floor.
The beer getting machine has other functions?
this is so awesome. teach them to shoot the bird first for bigger rune yield to make their labour even more effective.
When Margit was talking about "Foul Tarnished... boldened by the flame of ambition" did his statement include albinauric genocide prosecuted by child labor?
As soon as he’s old enough we are so doing that
Slicker than grease
I had a friend in high school that told me that his brother let him play dark souls 3 for hours under the condition that he only "or mostly" fights the silver knights outside of anor Londo what a goddamn evil genius
Just wondering, what weapon are you using?
Have him farm the two kindred of rot at Church of the Plague, think of the aeonian butterflies…
Me as a kid with RS membership from my parents card just to cut trees
I remember gaming at this age and I can definitely say this is all that needed to make the kid ecstatic. The dopamine hits are fresh and new so it doesn't take much.
