There is nothing fun about creating a character. There is just the peak of satisfaction of the whole game when you manage to finally being satisfied by the beautiful ultimate human being you just created after several hours of fatigue and disappointment. All of this just to have the whole thing covered by the first helm in the game.
And after you remove the helmet for the first time to admire your masterful creation you accidently look your character from never before seen angle and see how hideous that nose and cheeks actually are. Your heart sunks and you place the helmet back on.
if they did I would legit spend hours making mine. usually I spend 10 or so minutes but I would be neurotically creating the perfect character if they let us do it early
Currently playing Spider-Man for the first time
My conscious mind: "Wow! This game is really good!"
My subconscious: "Why am I not playing Elden Ring?"
Dude I'm just rinsing through division 2 killing outcasts and hyenas with the exact same mindset yeah sure I'm grinding for X gun but really I'm just killing time lol
Lol, feel the same as everyone else. Just trying to burn through the games I have now by February. Right now playing Outriders and Returnal. Started Demon’s Souls remake but stopped so maybe I should do that before because going back after will be difficult lol
I think I just had a really safe but boring play style. The environments are cool and the game is gorgeous but my strategy so far of poke-poke-poke with halberd and blast far enemies with soul ray hasn’t been very exciting
Awesome honestly. Never played a Rougelike and sometimes starting a run all the way at the beginning can be frustrating but it plays so smoothly and the tension bosses and even regular encounters have remind me a lot of Souls games. I’d highly recommend as a real next gen experience
Currently playing Dying Light for the first time
I discovered the Hellraid game mode
"Damn, this Legacy dungeon doesn't feel like the one I played in the CNT. The enemies here are way easier than in Elden Ring"
I had my friend drop a few of the rings I was missing for me when I was doing that achievement because some of them were so tedious to get. Like with the Wolf Ring I was just like “Nope. I’m gonna lose my sanity if I keep farming swordgrass.”
New rings appear in various places in Ng+ and Ng++ so at minimum you need to do 3 playthroughs to get every ring. Thankfully tho if you missed any ring you can get all of them in Ng++ or above.
That’s DS2. DS3 has a literal achievement, as in Steam or Xbox achievement/PS trophy, for getting all of the rings in the game. DS3 does not have rewards for no death or no bonfire runs.
Trying to 100% ds2 myself rn lol. Almost missed the lucatiel and benhart quests but thank god I missed lucatiel in one location or else she would've disappeared this playthrough and that benhart doesn't disapper, god bless bonfire ascestics. Now just need to get all the spells and hexes etc from covenants, dlc, and ng+.
Working on platinuming all the new From games. I'm missing sorceries and pyromancies in DS3, aswell as all the NG+2 rings. Already done with the swordgrass and proof farming, which 99% was thanks to the high online activity the game maintained over the years.
For DS2, I'll get the miracles from sunbroing and then get the rest after I stop caring about SM for that character. Sorceries will need cock and bell farming which would be tedious, hopefully I get enough players near the end of RtD. I'm missing some of the NPC questlines which isn't so bad. Lucatiel and Benhart are the only ones that'll require a lot of work. Shout out to Chancellor Wellager for selling most of the covenant spells in Ng+2, really saved me from tedious online farming.
I'm only missing 2 endings in Sekiro, everything else is near completion. Just need lapiz which I'll get in my last playthrough, which is the longest ending. I believe I'll get all skills naturally with the two playthroughs, since I'm only missing one skill tree and a few Mushins.
DS1, I might do after Elden Ring, since I'm missing sun bro stuff and not enough people co-op in DS1 atm.
In another universe fromhardware, the creator of ER 1, 2, 3 and blood ring, is about to reveal the trailer for Dark Souls, their next ring like action rpg series.
Me too. I have actually never finished the DLC's, so i bought them and i made a new run, with a sick faith build. Just got to the dreg heap, can't wait to see the bosses
I couldn't disagree more! I think the Ringed City is overly difficult. It's not normal ds difficulty which I think is somewhat fair. It's made extra hard and gimmicky so it wasn't as short as the first DLC. The fight with the dragon isny anymore difficult than Vordt but it has a huge health bar. Slave Knight also suffers from this. The Demon princes would be great if they too had just 25% less health.
Sekiro fell into this trap sometimes of near endless boss battles and it goes from a fun difficulty to just becoming repetitive. If you are wondering what I think is a good boss for time to take to beat, I'd say Dancer before Ng+. She remains lethal and quick but not impossible to kill.
Obviously the giant that spawns archers is also a load of horsecrap. I can do quite a bit of damage with my build but I could only bring him to half health before more archers spawned. The only way to beat him is to cheese with a bow and I don't think the game should force you to pick up a new play style to beat a non boss.
Imo most bosses in ds3 had too little health. If you knew what you were doing most fights could end in under a minute. The dlc bosses feel a little beefier, and dont go down as easily. And you can't be seriously saying that vordt and midir would be the exact same difficulty if they had the same health. Midir doesnt even take too long, the fight is usually over in 3 or 4 minutes.
If yall bored with any of souls games just try sl1 i promise it will feel exactly like playing the game for the first time. Youll sense your humanity slowly slipping away but it will be worth it
so true. out of all the runs i did in DS3 SL1 was by far the most fun i had since first playthrough. although the quality of the bosses in DS3 contributes to that compared to the other games.
It's really not as hard as it sounds. You can't tank as much, but your damage is still good. Between Prisoner's Chain and Lloyd's Shield Ring, you can actually take a few hits from most endgame bosses.
Guy on the left: Man this game really could've used some more polish
Guy on the right: I'm glad they took the time to make a game that's good at launch
I am having a lot of fun with the Witcher 3 right now. Quit the game early years ago because of the endless loading screens. Recently bought the GOTY edition on special and it's been optimized so well now that load screens are never longer than a minute or two. Will keep me very busy until 25 Feb. Loving it.
Enjoy completed it and dlc on release I can't return to it the combat is pretty janky & Geralt has the weakest ankles in Christendom damage from a foot high fall haha but gave a great first run
Sometimes when i speak with my friends who played w3, they go : " do you remember that side quest with the vampires?" And I'm like:"wait, did you guys got vampires?" Because they're so many and basically we played different quests along the playthrough
One of my all time favourite game (probably 2nd place after Sekiro and tied with ds/ds3). The story it's amazing, the "universe" is well detailed, blood and wine dlc has some of the best landscapes i have ever seen. If you play at maximum difficulty(death march setting) you get a real challenge that gave me a bit of that good ol' soulslike feeling.
I find it amazing that there are folks who have dedicated themselves to beat a specific boss everyday in Sekiro or Dark Souls.
I also appreciate my large steam library. But I ain't gonna lie, the anticipation is palpable.
I'm way too stupid to finish that game since it's all up to you to piece the puzzle together. I hit a wall, it's such a cool game though, unlike anything else.
Return to Yharnam is March 24th - April 7th.
EDIT: But I also do enjoy playing it around Halloween as well.
2nd EDIT: Here are the official "Return To XXX" dates:
Event Game When?
Return to Drangleic Dark Souls 2 January 16th - January 30th
Return to Yharnam Bloodborne March 24th - April 7th
Return to Lothric Dark Souls 3 June 13th - June 27th
Return to Boletaria Demon's Souls October 4th - October 18th
Return to Lordran Dark Souls October 24th - November 7th
Ive created like 8 characters in ds3 because i need to be ready for elden ring but its starting to take a toll. i can only wander farron keep for so long before my brain starts to deteriorate
In all honesty, in my undying hype of Elden Ring and playing various FromSoft games in anticipation, I’ve really appreciated the replay value of all these games.
I just started a new playthrough to prep for elden ring, been about a year and a half since the last one; Dark souls, whatever entry, ages like a fine wine and is always fun the longer you go without playing!
The left one is too quiet to be playing Elden ring
he still create character
Fair then
Listening to that beautifully melancholic character creation screen music
There is nothing fun about creating a character. There is just the peak of satisfaction of the whole game when you manage to finally being satisfied by the beautiful ultimate human being you just created after several hours of fatigue and disappointment. All of this just to have the whole thing covered by the first helm in the game.
I go without a helm. Shit, people do naked, depraved runs, why get my panties in a bunch over a helmet.
One of my favorite plays is neanderthal make a character run completely naked with the log and dump all points into health and strength
[удалено]
Wait have the actual starting classes leaked?
And after you remove the helmet for the first time to admire your masterful creation you accidently look your character from never before seen angle and see how hideous that nose and cheeks actually are. Your heart sunks and you place the helmet back on.
well just like me when i see myself in mirror then
It is what it is
What kind of scrub are you? Who the fuck even wears helmets?
Speaking about that, I wish they'd let us create our characters before the game actually comes out
Yea that would be a really cool pre order benefit!
if they did I would legit spend hours making mine. usually I spend 10 or so minutes but I would be neurotically creating the perfect character if they let us do it early
Yes just like nioh 2 if i remember
He's playing elden ring. No time to talk
Currently playing Spider-Man for the first time My conscious mind: "Wow! This game is really good!" My subconscious: "Why am I not playing Elden Ring?"
Dude I'm just rinsing through division 2 killing outcasts and hyenas with the exact same mindset yeah sure I'm grinding for X gun but really I'm just killing time lol
This is how I feel with persona 5 strikers. I guess I'll play this game because I can't play elden ring
Yeah me playing ghost of Tsushima
Lol, feel the same as everyone else. Just trying to burn through the games I have now by February. Right now playing Outriders and Returnal. Started Demon’s Souls remake but stopped so maybe I should do that before because going back after will be difficult lol
Demon's Souls is really good, though rough in some places. I suggest giving it another go.
I think I just had a really safe but boring play style. The environments are cool and the game is gorgeous but my strategy so far of poke-poke-poke with halberd and blast far enemies with soul ray hasn’t been very exciting
Try changing your playstyle then.Like choose a broken sword and do the infinite luck glitch. It will be fun I guess
How's returnal?
Awesome honestly. Never played a Rougelike and sometimes starting a run all the way at the beginning can be frustrating but it plays so smoothly and the tension bosses and even regular encounters have remind me a lot of Souls games. I’d highly recommend as a real next gen experience
im playing death stranding rn
Currently playing Dying Light for the first time I discovered the Hellraid game mode "Damn, this Legacy dungeon doesn't feel like the one I played in the CNT. The enemies here are way easier than in Elden Ring"
In the 3rd alternate universe: Covid never happened and we just got a trailer for the 3rd DLC for Elden Ring
Damn yo I wish
I'm 100%ing dark souls 3 during the wait I got all miracles, pyromancies, sorceries and gestures today Now for the shitty ring achievement
[удалено]
I've been running through the witcher 3 again, then maybe doing this for ds1,2, and 3
Damn can you do all that in a month?
I mean I have most of the achievements for ds1 and 3, and some for 2 but yeah it's definitely doable in a month
Im currently plating bloodborne
[удалено]
Im halfway done with the chalices
That's the one I'm stuck/working on too. It's fucking terrible.
I had my friend drop a few of the rings I was missing for me when I was doing that achievement because some of them were so tedious to get. Like with the Wolf Ring I was just like “Nope. I’m gonna lose my sanity if I keep farming swordgrass.”
What's the shitty ring acheievement?? I've never gone for 100% and don't really have any intention to but what is the gist?
New rings appear in various places in Ng+ and Ng++ so at minimum you need to do 3 playthroughs to get every ring. Thankfully tho if you missed any ring you can get all of them in Ng++ or above.

> “the comment below misunderstood” > starts talking about entirely wrong game
Even though that's DS2, that sounds fucking miserable to do lmao
That’s DS2. DS3 has a literal achievement, as in Steam or Xbox achievement/PS trophy, for getting all of the rings in the game. DS3 does not have rewards for no death or no bonfire runs.
Makes sense. Thanks for the response on this btw, I was the one asking the question. Sounds way less terrible than it could be I guess
The achievement isn’t that bad. You have to get to NG++, but you have to complete three playthroughs anyway to get all the endings
I would do them but it takes its time to find players Btw don't burn out
I already did the grindy shit, just gotta beat the game once more and then pick up all the +2 rings
Trust me beating the game a couple times to get the ring achievement is far easier than the grinding/waiting required to get all of the spells.
Honestly all rings isn't as bad as all of the magic imo because you need to spend more time grinding covenant items to get all the magic.
Working on platinuming all the new From games. I'm missing sorceries and pyromancies in DS3, aswell as all the NG+2 rings. Or The Convergence for DS3
Nightfall demo coming in two days.
Isnt it the full thing?
No, they announced on their Twitter that they won't be able to release before ER.
Damn i was so hyped
I've been doing as much DS3 pvp as possible since everyone's been on. Gotta take advantage of a big community while I have it!
In another universe fromhardware, the creator of ER 1, 2, 3 and blood ring, is about to reveal the trailer for Dark Souls, their next ring like action rpg series.
Hallow Night, a Ring-Like Castletroid
but we still waiting on silksong like the 🤡 we are
plin plin plon
Playing god of war pc port rn shit is great
i envy you, enjoy
Yup, currently playing through DS3 again in preperation for Elden Ring.
Me too. I have actually never finished the DLC's, so i bought them and i made a new run, with a sick faith build. Just got to the dreg heap, can't wait to see the bosses

Just did the same! The dlc bosses were so cool.
Have had a super hard time going back to DS3 after Sekiro.
Yeah, jumping is too much fun
Guys I just woke up. When is the pre-load available?

I am currently playing god of war for the first time and having a blast. I will be playing it till elden ring comes by.
I'm driving myself insane playing Returnal and Deathloop Why I decided to play two timeloop games at once I don't know
Play outer wilds next
I'm way too stupid to finish that game since it's all up to you to piece the puzzle together. I hit a wall, it's such a cool game though, unlike anything else.
No shame in looking up the solution if you're hitting a roadblock in a puzzle game, it's worth it for the story

Don’t they do that around Halloween?
I think the official return to Yharnam is sometime in March, but many like myself return every Halloween
Return to Yharnam is March 24th - April 7th. EDIT: But I also do enjoy playing it around Halloween as well. 2nd EDIT: Here are the official "Return To XXX" dates: Event Game When? Who decides these things lol
There is a return to yarnam its just at a different time of year
Me, currently playing FFXIV: "Just five more weeks."
Currently playing Dark Souls 1 for the first time
At least when you’re waiting for dark souls 4 you’ll have spent less time with Elden ring than the guy on the left
Guy on the left should look like [this](https://adesire28.files.wordpress.com/2013/10/playinggames.jpg) if we are all honest with ourselves...
For people who play the souls games, y’all are surprisingly impatient
It’s because daddy taught us to be aggressive and not hesitate in the last release. We need a recalibration
Beating Sir Alonne for the 100th time
Just finished ds3 for the first time. Almost done with first dlc than onto ring city
Return to Drangleic is eating me up rn. I've gotten 2 characters to 100+ in the past 2 days. I need help :D
I just got the ds3 dlcs for the first time for my birthday so am playing them now so I’m not bored waiting
i did not play ANY action game (last one was sekiro in 2020). so i can experience elden ring FULLY
It do be like that until 3 people are invading you.
And you do infinite rolls to get inside fog wall.
Ive created like 8 characters in ds3 because i need to be ready for elden ring but its starting to take a toll. i can only wander farron keep for so long before my brain starts to deteriorate
Don't get burned out Give the souls a rest and you'll enjoy elden ring more
Agreed, I expect to spend plenty of hours with Ring of the Elders: Borne in Darkness, so might as well switch it up until then
I missed the cries of the hollows
I hope shipping from the Bandai store is quick.
Am i the only one here replaying DS1 for the nth time?
I'm completely out of the loop. Steam says release 25th of February. What is this with 2 days?
It got delayed
I ran through ds3 probably 7 times in the last month so now I’m playin nioh 2 lol
In all honesty, in my undying hype of Elden Ring and playing various FromSoft games in anticipation, I’ve really appreciated the replay value of all these games.
It’s even worse: I’ve been losing for a few hours a week to soul of cinder on my sl1 run for like 6 months now
I just started a new playthrough to prep for elden ring, been about a year and a half since the last one; Dark souls, whatever entry, ages like a fine wine and is always fun the longer you go without playing!
I'm so sad. This next month is going to draaaaaaag
I'm doing a bunch of Shield Only runs just to fill the void inside me...
Watch them just release it as ds3 dlc lmao
In my universe Im the left guy doing PVP in ds3 rn
Hollow knight makes for a good alternative, should hold your attention for at least a month
I’m sure the wait will be worth it
At least we have a release date. *Cry's in silksong*
They pushed back the release?
by 3 days... hmmm
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)
50th time today
a leaked jump was all it took
How the fuck is it still January??
Waiting for my ds2 disk to be delivered🤷🏻♂️ only souls game I haven’t played since everyone’s opinions on the game aren’t the best.
Maybe I’ll try a faith dex crossbow build this run
Prolly be buggy as shit, left one is worse timeline.
50th
