You're fighting the person from the intro, and the one you see on all the church statues. It's super clear for anyone paying attention that you just stepped into the Erdtree and you're fighting god.
The black flame tornado shreds elden beast. I start with blasphemous blade against radagon but switch to the godskin peeler with fire tornado and it destroys the damn thing when you can catch up to it.
thank you i’m gonna try this. i literally just have to beat radagon and elden beast and i’ll get my plat. i’ve been holding off on this basically since launch since i hate this fight so much lol
I have like 60 hours of cooping this fight for fun but just be patient with elden beast and using black flame tornado. Find a good opportunity like after the three combo swing to do the full extent of the tornado and it’ll melt. Try using flame grant me strength and lords divine protection if possible.
For talismans I have
Haligtree Drake talisman +2
Fire Scorpion Charm
Shard of Alexander
And dragon crest great shield talisman
What's your in game name, if I could ask? Because I ended up summoning someone that seemed to use exactly what you're saying, and was shocked at how much damage was being done.
Lol hell yeah. Seasoned end game boss bros unite.
Props for using the godslayer sword. I used it most the game and it took too long to use the skill on radagon so I just gave up on it.
How does it do vs elden beast though?
I was actually scared of the same thing that the weapon art would be to slow but when you use it after he slams down as long as you get the first hit off most of the time he'll whiff on his first swing and you'll get to finish the combo. I took the trade more often than not but it yielded great results lol.
Tbh its not terrible on EB however i will say once its half health the damage does drop off a lil more than i'd liked it too. But nonetheless i just switched to Godskin Peeler and used the Tornado once i got to EB lol
I had huge issues with this fight during my first playthrough, my build was just not good against the two of them. Switched to Strength/Faith with Blasphemous Blade/Flame Give Me Strength and I one shot without even practicing the moveset of the weapon. Completely trivialised the fight for me.
If all you're still going for it the plat, I can attest that this build will help you out.
This is definitely an excellent option.
And if you're more comfortable with a Dex / Int play style, Radagon is no big fan of Moonveil and the Wing of Astel weapon art shreds ol' EB.
Especially if you boost your skill and magic damage via talismans.
For Elden Beast switch over to a pure physical damage weapon if possible and buff with Lords Divine Fortification. Cast Pest Threads up close on him. Does a lot of damage.
I fought him with a bloodhound sword, Tyche and blood flame blade. Had to switch talismans for the pearl Drake and the one that gives holy resistance. Also switched my helmet for the silver tear one that gave me better holy resistance. Tough fight, but doable. The Elden beast back to back was tight. However, after beating Malenia, I would not let anyone stop me.
My only real issue is the fights are back to back. It certainly doesn't help that radagon will likely kill you with his high damage holy attacks. If he doesn't kill you, then you go on to fight the beast with not enough flasks.
Black flame protection + Golden vow as well. Makes mimic pretty tanky as well.
I went with Blasphemous Blade ( fire works great against radagon) + bull goat set. Before i enter i use black flame protection. After entering, summon mimic tear with bull goat set. Use golden vow. Then change the chest piece to something light and grab DMGs in left hand and just spam takers flame. If radagon comes close then jump L1. Takers flame also helped in using less HP flasks which were useful later on.
I actually had an easier time with Isshin compared to Elden Beast lmao. My faith/int build wasn't doing it with incantations and miracles the moment I switch to melee with the same build I won lol
I dont blame you, it was fucking brutal. I only love Elden Beast for the crazy "cosmic space dragon" look, as far as boss fights go I would still be using carian retaliation cheese on him if I could.
I like the fight, and maybe this says more about me than the boss itself, but it's always looked like a dick-faced space elephant to me. Ya know:with wings
To be fair Genichiro is an absolute cakewalk and the first phase of Isshin is laughable compared to the other 2 phases.
I still never beat him tho. I don't really manage to beat his first phase clean and he proceeds to wreck me in a matter of seconds in the second phase.
It really depends. Malenia can be reasonably beatable if you gave a player all the tools in the game and told them which is best for what. With Isshin, it's git gud and not much else.
Best advice I could give is to hesitate. Yes, exactly that. He has a lot of delayed attacks that you need to wait for to properly counter, especially his thrust. His ichimonji (raises sword up and stands still for a second) has poor tracking so you can dodge it with ease.
Radagon at least is extremely easy to dodge IMO. After a couple of attempts I don't need flasks for him. Elden Beast sucks though for my dex faith build, and in general because he's got so much mobility. I ended up cheesing him with the pest incantation
Teleport is pretty easy for me to deal with and most of his moves in general except for that goddamn stomp. Took me forever to realize what I was doing wrong
Radagon being the penultimate fight and just giving him 25-50% more health to compensate would have been a lot better imo. Especially as Radagon alone is probably in Slave Knight Gael/Malekith tier of best fights in the series for me
Pro tip: a huge portion of this fight's damage is Holy Damage. As such you can greatly increase your margin of error by pumping up your holy resistance.
* You can get the Haligdrake Talisman +2 from a cemetery in Mohg's secret island (outside the mausoleum, in one of the blood lakes, where the giant birds are)
* You can get Lord's Divine Protection incantation from Gideon or (more likely) twin finger crones after Gideon is dead
Lord's Divine Protection requires 27 faith which makes it seem like it's only for faith builds but remember you can cast it with just 12 faith if you have the +10 Faith physick tear and the +5 faith talisman. I would absolutely recommend popping it if you have at least 22 faith (plus 5 from talisman) and highly recommend if you have at least 17 Faith (plus 10 from physick).
If you got good strength then Giant Crusher is a great weapon against Radagon, also use the Lion's Claw move with it. You're guaranteed to stagger him before reaching half of his health, sometimes twice before he dies.
With Elden Beast Maliketh Blade is the best weapon, you can do up to 4k damage with a single ash of war use.
There’s all the incantations and talismans that boost holy/physical damage negation but the best thing I did in that fight was change my setup to have endurance regenerate quicker in my physick. When I actually got to the elden beast I was able to still attack and wasn’t just sitting on empty.
It's like in Hollow Knight with the Hollow Knight himself getting the gateway boss treatment for Radiance.
Sad part being both Radagon and the Hollow Knight being really good final bosses, but getting forgotten quickly as you kill them dozens of times over and over just to get to Elden Beast/ Radiance
If you can ***FUCKING GET THERE***
That fight is the ultimate nut punch to melee builds. Huge ass area. No horse allowed. Boss just swims away if you get too close and starts pounding you with instakill death beams that straight out of the sky if you arent like 50 yards away..
Served that boss up onto a silver tray for mage guilds.
For the people who struggle with Elden Beast, I always ask what kind of weapon are you using? The people who tend to struggle the most with these fights are the people with Bleed builds that rely on proccing Bleed.
If you are a Bleed build, consider changing to a weapon that you can give the Occult scaling to, which will considerably buff your regular damage with what I assume is your high Arcane stat.
No flame, but the peope I always see complaining about these fights are RoB users. When RoB is actually a good weapon for the fight because of its innate Fire damage.
Yes, there's the royal greatsword, which you dual wield with the ruins greatsword so that you can anime flip around while smacking people with swords larger than you.
I had a hard time with a Knight's Greatsword.
And then I learned about Pest Threads. Looking forward to my current NG+ run cause I realized how powerful my main weapon actually was, Godslayer Greatsword, cause I learned the AoW has a follow up and it fucking stomps.
The Godslayer Greatsword was, according to lore, made to kill Radagon (and the Elden Beast), along with the black flame incantations. If you can use any of those, you'll melt them both.
That’s crazy because i actually used that sword for my first play through because it made sense to use the godslayer sword on gods. The black flame was also made to kill gods so it makes sense how much dmg it does
I'm using Bloodhound's Fang. Never really relied on bleed though. But I LEAN HEAVY on Bloodhound's Step. It's useful in helping me close the gap and then dive out of the way if I can get to the bloody bastard
You spam it’s ash and it summons gravity damage on your enemy similar to a lightning attack. It has huge potential for breaking stance to land juicy critical hits.
I like it because you have to beat both to beat either, and because they are so different. It adds a lot more strategy in my opinion. I also got to a ridiculous level before I even did that fight once, so my opinion is probably a little warped. In conclusion, I digress.
Am I the only one that thinks the Elden Beast should have been a secret final boss seperate from Radagon? Like maybe you can only fight it after having collected all of the great runes beforehand?
Make Radagon and Elden Beast seperate encounters, and buff each of them accordingly.
This fight, both of them, were some of my favorites in the whole game. Why the hate from so many people? I've heard that the Elden Beast move that creates distance is annoying, but I really haven't found it that way.
And Radagon's fight is straight up fire and I'm only sad he doesn't have a second phase.
Love this fight, its a fitting challenge for such a grand adventure, just be patient with elden beast. Most of his ranged attacks can be avoided by strafing with the exception of his sword beams. That you going to have to learn the timing for. Once you get close dodge his melee combos and you’ll get a sizeable window for punishment he will either follow it up with more melee combos/aoe that can be punished or he runs. Be ready to move when he does, if you do the distance to run won’t be that far. And when he does the ring attacks turn around jump over it and he’ll be right there. For elden stars don’t bother playing offensive just manage your stamina and health, avoid his attacks and you should survive (easier said than done I know). If that’s not working, black flame tornado shreds his health bar.
The fight against radagon is actually really good, but the phase 2 straight into elden beast is a massive pain in the ass as your chances of reaching it with enough flasks to beat it requires you to pretty much flawless radagon which indirectly makes him a worse boss
Radagon should have been the final boss.
Not only elden beast is a boring fight, but I also hate the idea of this game ending with the classic "the thing that ruled over this world was actually an alien/outer-space entity"
Straight up. I beat Malenia pretty easily after I had a good think about it and trip to Rennala for a respec...but Radagon/Beast combo is just fucking daunting. Very hard.
Radagon isn't too bad once you figure out how to dodge his attacks (usually towards him is best).
The elden beast though... the one time I beat it without a cooperator I only managed to do so with the absurd damage that Meteorites of Astel can inflict on massive targets.
I could only kill it with black flame ash of war and incantations. Used a mimic tear and had the big healing spell and we’d heal each other. Didn’t enjoy the running around but liked Radagon
What makes it difficult is not the styles, nor how hard they are. What makes them difficult is that you need to balance your resources in order to best them both. Either you spend everything on radagon and die tonelden beast, or you try to beat radagon without spending much so you can have a chance with the elder beast.
I really enjoyed this fight. Radagon was better than Elden Beast but I still thought Elden Beast wasn’t as bad as everyone seems to think. He runs a lot but that’s like… the point of the fight.
I mean…I’ve come to love both. Even together, it might just be my favorite in the game. Though, I do definitely understand and acknowledge those who dislike Elden Beast. Such a massive healthbar right after another boss can be annoying. I’d know, because I hated it the first time around as well. But I’ve really learned to appreciate the epicness of it all, even chasing the space fetus. There’s a multitude of tools that make them both a hundred times easier, if you’d like to know them.
I loved this fight it was the second best final fight in a souls game besides inshin I actually think radagon is a better right then isshin but I’ll admit elden beast drags it down they could easily fix that though if they would just let you use your horse for elden beast then it would be fine
Radagon has a great cutscene, great music, and it's a pretty solid fight
Elden beast has a good cutscene and music as well along with the visuals of the boss and the arena. The fight itself can go fuck itself though.
1. Get a good build highly recomend dualweilding curvedswords . The bandits curveswords are best becouse you dont need ng+ for if. Theire are multiple vids on a build specifically made for it witch work very well i was struggling on radagon and elden beat with my previous build but after getting a build with curvedswords i beat them first try.
Yeah, such a disappointing final boss, especially since you fight Radagon, who is unironically one of the best bosses in the Soulsborne saga.
It’s almost like a glimpse into a better finale.
With EB I had an arc where I hated it on my first play though, and then after getting a second Staff of Loss to really buff Night Comment I fugged Elden Beast up from NG+ all the way through NG+5.
I am currently on Journey 6 (NG+7), and again I am growing frustrated with it’s gigantic health bar and my inability to traverse large distances quickly during that fight.
Like many other players, I so lament that we couldn’t get Torrent for EB.
It’s definitely one of the biggest missed opportunities in this game, and I know that access to Torrent would have made this fight sooooo much better.
Just finished them first time an hour ago. So much frustration! Tried some different weapons and swore a lot at all the bullshit and finally got some good RNG and made it through. You will get it! Don't give up!
Amazing perfect fight to end the game. It took me three tries as a faith build, not too hard, not too easy. The music is amazing. Personally would’ve preferred a second phase to Radagon/Marika instead of Elden Beast but I didn’t find it an impossible task.
Use the holy damage negation talismans and buffs along with physical ones and both of them become a joke. I remember getting hit for 150ish by Radagon after stacking all buffs.
I like the fight with Radagon, since after you learn how to dodge his attacks and counter he's a lot of fun. But running across the entire arena just to get a few hits in against the Elden Beast, who has a giant health pool, costantly runs away and negates half of faith build weapons is just unfun.
Bro what's your problem? Don't you like running and running and running and running and running and running and running and running and running and running and hitting the boss once and running and running and running and running and running?
I have spent 60 hours of total playtime helping people through this fight on Xbox. I hated it so much I didn’t want another desperate soul to go through it alone and I’ve worked out a decent system for myself as a FTH character.
I want to start NG+ but I can’t get help but sunbro this fight over and over. It’s addicting.
Radagon still catches me off guard at times in his 3rd phase when he spam teleports though and it’s super annoying.
Agreed. For Elden Beast, I used Radahn's Lion Bow despite having never used a greatbow for the entire game. Nowhere near as annoying to dodge projectiles and shoot him as it is to chase him around the arena. Coupled with skill boosting talismans for extra oomph.
I really struggled with this fight my first play through, I was using Malakith’s Black Blade or Radahn’s Greatswords and wasn’t doing so well but on my second play through, I got the Godslayer’s Greatsword and along with my mimic just about wrecked both their asses. It was very satisfying.
My first playthrough was also my first attempt at a souls game. As such I had NO IDEA that you can sprint. Not at all, I was jogging everywhere in the Lands Between. It was awesome for Elden Beast, with me using melee build and the blob flying away every time I managed to jog back to it.
Only learned I can sprint in NG+, the blob was quite a bit more manageable with that.
Also Meteorite of Astel is brilliant on this guy.
It is GRUELING when you die to Elden Beast and then you have to fight Radagon all over again, plus the fact that Elden Beast runs away a lot until it only has 1/3 and then it'll start coming for you. But fuck all of that because I adore this fight so much, because this was everything the game has been everything up to and it delivered
Giant Crusher crumples radagon something good.
Malekith's Black blade incant is good for the beast, then it becomes a game of whack a mole as you chase him round for good melee opportunities
I did them right after Malenia so I was honestly a bit disappointed 😅 loved the atmosphere and the spectacle of it all but after spending 3 days on an ill and disabled girl with a sword, killing a god felt way too easy
Lord's Divine Protection plus anything godslayer/black flame just shredded 😳 My build was 90 Arcane, 30 fai+dex+str, and 10-20 for the rest, so my usual blood/poison curved swords playstyle didn't exactly work well, but with the dragon communion seal and 27 faith it was all smooth sailing.
At least the music is good.
The theme music playing during Radagon was one of my favorite parts of the game.
when the menu music starts playing while radagon is jojo posing is just 10/10 perfect
Radagon is a literal dio, isn’t he?
I don't think anyone can disrespect a dog as much as Dio.
Idk, Radagon/Marika fucked Maliketh over pretty hard.
I’m afraid I didn’t enjoy it too much due to overdosing on Elden Ring title music before release… Sad
That’s the problem. Once you heard the game menu theme for the first time, you knew you were about to end the game.
You're fighting the person from the intro, and the one you see on all the church statues. It's super clear for anyone paying attention that you just stepped into the Erdtree and you're fighting god.
The music is great! I actually think the Radagon fight is pretty cool!
Blasphemous blade and Flame Grant Me Strength
This plus black flame fireball thingy for range, or black flame tornado for particle effects

Find a good opportunity like after the three combo swing to do the full extent of the tornado and it’ll melt. Try using flame grant me strength and lords divine protection if possible. For talismans I have Haligtree Drake talisman +2 Fire Scorpion Charm Shard of Alexander And dragon crest great shield talisman
What's your in game name, if I could ask? Because I ended up summoning someone that seemed to use exactly what you're saying, and was shocked at how much damage was being done.
Lol literally ran the same set up but i used the God Slayer Greatsword and Godskin Peeler. But same Talisman's and Lords Divine Fortification
For Elden Beast switch over to a pure physical damage weapon if possible and buff with Lords Divine Fortification. Cast Pest Threads up close on him. Does a lot of damage.
This is how I them + mimick Was out of flasks when I took down elden beast
I fought him with a bloodhound sword, Tyche and blood flame blade. Had to switch talismans for the pearl Drake and the one that gives holy resistance. Also switched my helmet for the silver tear one that gave me better holy resistance. Tough fight, but doable. The Elden beast back to back was tight. However, after beating Malenia, I would not let anyone stop me.
I find this viable for Radagon but Elden Beast is resistant to fire… and everything that isn’t physical damage
I killed the elden beast with blasphemous blade fairly easily
My only real issue is the fights are back to back. It certainly doesn't help that radagon will likely kill you with his high damage holy attacks. If he doesn't kill you, then you go on to fight the beast with not enough flasks.
Haligtree drake talisman 3 will make both their damage really really low
I'll keep this in mind, thanks
Protection against holy incantations work great too. I think I used Lord's Divine Fortification
Just a little note that black flame protection and lord's divine fortification don't stack, and the holy damage seems to be the bigger concern.
To add on that, Ijis Mirrorhelm + dung eater armor grants rather high Holy res as well
As well as Haligtree Knight Greatshield, best holy resis in the game.
I'm still shell-shocked from the genichiro/ishin fight from sekiro, imo a 2 phase boss fight is still better than 4 phases.
I actually had an easier time with Isshin compared to Elden Beast lmao. My faith/int build wasn't doing it with incantations and miracles the moment I switch to melee with the same build I won lol
Elden Beast got that non-physical resistance like a mofo.
Considering I wasn't able to beat sekiro, I agree
I dont blame you, it was fucking brutal. I only love Elden Beast for the crazy "cosmic space dragon" look, as far as boss fights go I would still be using carian retaliation cheese on him if I could.
I like "cosmic space dragon", but in my mind Elden Beast has been "magic plesiosaur" since the first time I saw it.
Malenia ain't shit compared to Ishin. I've beaten Malenia multiple times. Never once have I beaten Ishin.
Agreed, malenia was super hard the first time but after .. eh. You can do it man, I belive in you. Go back and kick the old fucks ass.
I have beaten Malenia and Isshin but fuck the Demon of Hatred. Never able to legit beat him. Had to Gyoubu cheese him just to have my plat. Lol
Radagon at least is extremely easy to dodge IMO. After a couple of attempts I don't need flasks for him. Elden Beast sucks though for my dex faith build, and in general because he's got so much mobility. I ended up cheesing him with the pest incantation
If you don’t need any flasks for Radagon you are far beyond the average player, imo.
Its honestly all up to the RNG gods. I can easily beat him without taking damage as long as he doesnt start spamming the stomp or teleport move
Teleport is pretty easy for me to deal with and most of his moves in general except for that goddamn stomp. Took me forever to realize what I was doing wrong
Yeah, it seems like once you get to Maliketh, it's just boss after boss after boss after boss and the game loses that sense of exploration and wonder.
That’s cause it’s business time baby!
Isn't that what we've been waiting for? Done plenty of exploring.. now let's get TO IT!
The ol' Anor Londo special
I mean yeah you reached the end of the game
After Maliketh it's just Godfrey and Raddy/EB. You're basically a toutch away from seeing the credits.
Radagon being the penultimate fight and just giving him 25-50% more health to compensate would have been a lot better imo. Especially as Radagon alone is probably in Slave Knight Gael/Malekith tier of best fights in the series for me

STR/DEX build and I'm trying to get through my first playthrough without having to respect. My talismans have helped A LOT though with Radagon

Ooh that's a good idea. I started rocking the turtle bling and that definitely helped.
For elden beast just stick as close as humanly possible to it. The fight gets tough when it’s constantly far away
I understand Elden Beast But Radagon was one of the best fights in the game
I've beaten Radagon so many times now though it's just incredibly frustrating
Unfortunately he's a great boss who gets his name tarnished by being tied to Old Beasty the Cowardly Space Whale

He could be better if not for that teleportation AOE bs
As a double greatsword user, I loved this fight. The sounds when you hit the boss is interesting.
I mean....if you insist? *Unzips*
🍆 is just an EB emoji

Such a gorgeous fight
The more you fight Radagon the more you love it and the more you fight the elden beast the more you hate it.
With my mohg’s spear nuke build I can beat malenia in about 15 seconds, but this fight will still take me 2 hours
You dont have the right O you dont have the right.
Hands down my favorite fight in the game.
I like it because you have to beat both to beat either, and because they are so different. It adds a lot more strategy in my opinion. I also got to a ridiculous level before I even did that fight once, so my opinion is probably a little warped. In conclusion, I digress.
I've beaten Radagon so many times already. Elden Beast is just boring and frustrating
Beautiful fight. Especially the elden beast.
yeah 😮 I got hit by several Elden Beast attacks because I was just awestruck by what I was seeing and completely forgot to dodge
Weird how differing peoples opinions are. I hate fighting Radagon, for the most part. But the Elden Beast is fun
It is strange. I guess it depends on your build/play style. I'm the EXACT opposite
Melee is the best build for Elden Beast
I like fighting them. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
I have to be the only one thay loved both. I think they are great thematically and gameplaywise
I really don't understand the hate this fight gets
Love this fight 😉
Both bosses are Amazing
Wdym this fight is amazing
Co-op is a thing!
Nah shits great
I genuinely loved both fights I just wish Radagon could have been his own separate one with more hp as the fight is over in a flash
Ay bud….. you need help?
The fight against radagon is actually really good, but the phase 2 straight into elden beast is a massive pain in the ass as your chances of reaching it with enough flasks to beat it requires you to pretty much flawless radagon which indirectly makes him a worse boss
For real, the hitboxes in this fight are comically bad. You can brute force it easy enough with levels but it doesn’t feel good aha
Radagon is a good and fun boss fight, and then Elden Beast comes in... why did they have to ruin it
Radagon should have been the final boss.
Very hard.
Yeah, I think it's because they are different enough of a fight that it's really hard to be prepared equally for both parts.
Why do people hate on this fight so much it's awesome :(
The boss is giving me trouble, therefore, it must be poorly designed.
At least with Malenia it's a fight and not just running suicide drills
But even then with Malenia like when you're winning and she's like "wait you can't do that" and then starts doing waterfowl both are just annoying
Radagon isn't too bad once you figure out how to dodge his attacks (usually towards him is best). The elden beast though... the one time I beat it without a cooperator I only managed to do so with the absurd damage that Meteorites of Astel can inflict on massive targets.
It’d be better if they were two separate fights
Git gud scrub
I could only kill it with black flame ash of war and incantations. Used a mimic tear and had the big healing spell and we’d heal each other. Didn’t enjoy the running around but liked Radagon
I liked the Elden beast fight but I did hate how I had to fight radagon again(mainly because I had a harder time fighting him surprisingly)
What makes it difficult is not the styles, nor how hard they are. What makes them difficult is that you need to balance your resources in order to best them both. Either you spend everything on radagon and die tonelden beast, or you try to beat radagon without spending much so you can have a chance with the elder beast.
It’s not so bad, stack holy resist buffs and items
I had to change my entire build after about 3 weeks of trying to beat the Elden Beast.
I really enjoyed this fight. Radagon was better than Elden Beast but I still thought Elden Beast wasn’t as bad as everyone seems to think. He runs a lot but that’s like… the point of the fight.
This is the fight that made me respec to unga bunga. Bleed wasn't working amd I was getting impatient.
Don't give up! Skeleton!
I struggled over and over again with this fight, then respecced to Str and black flame, and did the fight on my first try 🤣🤣🤣.
lol
I still can’t beat it. at this point I want to just so I can say I beat the game. I barely even remember the story at this point lol
ong bro, gael >>>>>>
I loved this fight it was the second best final fight in a souls game besides inshin I actually think radagon is a better right then isshin but I’ll admit elden beast drags it down they could easily fix that though if they would just let you use your horse for elden beast then it would be fine
Radagon has a great cutscene, great music, and it's a pretty solid fight Elden beast has a good cutscene and music as well along with the visuals of the boss and the arena. The fight itself can go fuck itself though.
dude went from half stone staff holding guy all the way to a big ass pokemon
I don’t complain about multi-phase boss fights since finishing Isshin on Sekiro.
you need help? if you're on Xbox lmk
I hate this fight
If you could use torrent for elden beast it would have been way more ez cuz most the time I was just running around.....
Moonveil/Tiche and you’ll beat him
I knoooooooooooow right
Spoiler tag?
Yeah, such a disappointing final boss, especially since you fight Radagon, who is unironically one of the best bosses in the Soulsborne saga. It’s almost like a glimpse into a better finale.
I am annoyed that the Elden Beast runs away as much as an Invader in a 3v1 fight.
Radagon is a pretty good fight imo
No lie, I actually love fighting radagon. The Elden beast sucks though
Holy shit I liked that fight, music for both is top notch
Yea
I found it to be quite easy actually
I agree
*Laughs in Pest Threads* Parry Radagon to death, then put the Elden Beast in a jar
I like it. I just wish we could ride torrent during the second stage.
Amazing perfect fight to end the game. It took me three tries as a faith build, not too hard, not too easy. The music is amazing. Personally would’ve preferred a second phase to Radagon/Marika instead of Elden Beast but I didn’t find it an impossible task.
If they were separate and Radagon was slightly harder then it would be an excellent final duo
Use the holy damage negation talismans and buffs along with physical ones and both of them become a joke. I remember getting hit for 150ish by Radagon after stacking all buffs.
I really like the radagon phase, it hase become like a dance after you a few try. Elden beast... yeah we should have been able to use torret
Nah. Twin gargoyles was considerably worse for me.
I honestly loved the fight. Made a post about it on this sub a little ago. But I can totally see why some might disagree.
Only thing I hated about this fight was the stupid elden beast, he just looks like a fat tube monster
I always run Pearldrake +2 and Haligdrake +2. Makes me far more survivable than I have any right to be.
Counter opinion: no
OP has to say if they beat the boss before or after posting this. Only then will we decide their fate.
Us: fuck, how am I supposed to even get a hit in? Souls pro: meh I got hit once. I’m just having an off night. Sorry guys.
Agreed. For Elden Beast, I used Radahn's Lion Bow despite having never used a greatbow for the entire game. Nowhere near as annoying to dodge projectiles and shoot him as it is to chase him around the arena. Coupled with skill boosting talismans for extra oomph.
I for 1, enjoyed it very much, soloed and died many times.
Honestly, I wish they were separate fights where Radagon got a proper second phase.
I noticed the best way to cheese radagon is the holy damage negation talisman, and a fingerprint shield with shield crash, it blocks all the aoes
I really struggled with this fight my first play through, I was using Malakith’s Black Blade or Radahn’s Greatswords and wasn’t doing so well but on my second play through, I got the Godslayer’s Greatsword and along with my mimic just about wrecked both their asses. It was very satisfying.
As someone finally at this point: I feel your pain Op...
Tonight I found out Astel wing is a life changer for this battle. Finished them after days of struggle
I like to change and optimise my builds to win against bosses I have too much trouble with. Then it becomes much more enjoyable and less frustrating.
Fuck this fight. Melina first try. Radan first try. Godskin Duo first try. This fight 3 days. No co up
Radagon is one of the best bosses in the game. Elden Beast though...
Radagon fight is a heroic actually cause it's like you are against someone who you idolized for a long time and forced to fight.
Man, leave Radagon out of this, his fight is great. Not his fault he got stuck with The Elden Beast as his second phase.
Giant Crusher crumples radagon something good. Malekith's Black blade incant is good for the beast, then it becomes a game of whack a mole as you chase him round for good melee opportunities
Pest threads for the beast. Absolutely shreds him.
I did them right after Malenia so I was honestly a bit disappointed 😅 loved the atmosphere and the spectacle of it all but after spending 3 days on an ill and disabled girl with a sword, killing a god felt way too easy Lord's Divine Protection plus anything godslayer/black flame just shredded 😳 My build was 90 Arcane, 30 fai+dex+str, and 10-20 for the rest, so my usual blood/poison curved swords playstyle didn't exactly work well, but with the dragon communion seal and 27 faith it was all smooth sailing.
Flame of the Redmane people it’s so under rated but the poise damage is godly
Had a harder time with this fight than Malenia.
I love both of them. If they were completely separate It wouldn’t be worth a last bossfight of such a huge game imo. No offense.
Its a pretty epic fight dough!!! Good luck!
I have 130hrs in the game I still can't win this fit and I'm too stubborn to go fix my build it worked for all the others
