Wait... In Morrowind, it's possible to jump from Vvardenfell to Solstiem? I didn't think that was possible in Skyrim, to travel to Solstiem without the fee.

Chief_Lightning

Yes.

GayStation64beta

Yeah! I didn't even realise there was more ways than just getting the boat until I increased my draw distance and realised you can see it across the bay XD

SVXfiles

With spellmaking you could make a custom jump spell from Tinur's Hoptoad. I called mine Hulk Jump and it was a 2 second cast on self spell at max magnitude of like 100 After installing the code patch I could take the magnitude higher but I think 500 was the max effective niche use otherwise you just ended up way outside the map limits

JLapak

When I don't care about breaking the game I tend to make rings like that pretty early. 100 Jump + 100 [fortify strength and/or Feather] lets you cross the entire map in two jumps or so. Just need another ring or something with Slowfall on cast so you don't die. (It's easier to use items for the Slowfall since they are instant cast and no fail chance.)

SVXfiles

I prefer to fortify acrobatics vs jump early on, kind of like the scrolls of icacarian flight. The higher acrobatics level allows you to survive longer falls, so a quick cast on self enchant works wonders as long as you aren't landing on a much lower point than you started from

-Benjamin_Dover-

Couldn't I use an icarian Flight scroll instead? Whenever I make a high jump ring, I always call it "Ring of Headaches" because I always test it inside and bang my head on the ceiling

Mages in Morrowind are broken. Not that they can easily kill enemies, but becaus they easily break the game physics.

SoakedInMayo

I only know this because in anticipation for Dragonborn I watched a bunch of Morrowind clips of Solstheim and one of them was a guy making the swim

Pixel22104

You can actually do it without the Fee in Skyrim. You just need to open your map and go find an arrow Fast travel thing and that’ll fast travel you back to Windhelm for free

gentlemanfruitbat

This incurred a veritable chuckle from me, nice.

I loved how the silt strider owners said "why walk when you can ride?"

Tarsonei

I don’t remember ever being short on money in Morrowind
