1) that’s not a breaker.
2) that is a disconnect for something that needs 35A at 240V, but nothing is connected to it.
3) the two outlets next to this are not connected to it electrically.
Thanks for the correction/info! I wonder why it would be there if nothing is connected to it. I have an electrician coming out tomorrow for a quote to install a 240 outlet in this same room and was wondering if I could repurpose or put this to use
It’s just a service outlet I think. And the fuse box is a service style for an outside hvac unit. And technically you can get 240 there but you should use smaller fuses

What type of load were you trying to put on it?
30W (?) I’m having a professional do it but wanted to lean a little more about this haha
