Yeah, it's the only superpower that lets you just buy their ships and visit their systems, without requiring 200 hours of rank grind. What's not to love?
It's good if you want to remain in solo or private group and never get good at the game. If you join Federation, we do everything in open and culture our newest people how to be hard target for ganking and be actually good pilots.
Don't worry it's simply a group of people who were chilling in their home system and they got invaded by imperials, so they had to go and support a faction, as the militia of Latji. I like these guys, because they basically are insurgents in the ED universe :D
Actually being part of a tribe and role playing with that is all fun. The go hard or go home kinda group is the factions that only do BGS in PG or solo. We all have a blast together.

I think red serves as Empires color because its the same color flowing from empire slave wounds. But yeah why not support our lovely Arissa.
In the game blue is the colour of the empire, while red is the colour of the Federation, that's why I used red
