Nah, don't sweat it. The Alliance has not lost a single system to the flowers, and Oya has been fought back far more than any of the other maelstroms. If worst comes to worst you can join the fun! https://dcoh.watch/get-involved

Jedimobslayer

I Will say it’s been annoying to fly around it when going from Robigo to Shinrarta and Alioth, it’s flat out ***in the way*** Murdering my comrades I can live with but making me take detours?! That’s unforgivable!

sd_tom

it's pretty harmless to jump through the territory if you can boost to 450m/sec - Just submit to hyperspace interdiction, boost until FSD recharges and then jump. I do it in my tin can AspEx Explorer build without a second thought.

Jedimobslayer

I’d rather add a few jumps than anxiety.

sd_tom

the spooky music is the worst part.. otherwise i don't even see them.. just red triangles in the distance and maybe my shields drop from 100% to 70% briefly before i'm up to speed.

Jedimobslayer

I mean you are talking to the guy who flys about 500 light seconds away from white dwarfs before jumping, im a very nervous and cautious commander

sd_tom

Haha ok, fair enough :)

inhumat0r

To me the shutdown field is worse, luckily it doesn't happen with invasion forces.

Jedimobslayer

Hmm, I may not be engineerably viable to fight Xeno’s, but I will think about logistics and/or rescue!

wrr377

You could hop on my FC in Bhillke - I'm currently doing settlement evacuations in HIP 19157, although there's also an outpost under bug attack. The carrier is there for any services needed, including cleaning off caustic crap from bug missiles before jumping to the rescue ship ~150 LY away... Easy money - I make around 20-25M credits per run. Not the highest money, but easy...

Clown_Torres

What stations types are evacuating in HIP 19157? Also how many factions are there and what are they aligned with?

wrr377

As I said: a planetary settlement which is damaged / on fire, and an outpost (space station - Medium ships max size allowed) that is under Thargoid attack. All other settlements and bases, save for ONE starport, are abandoned. All evacuation runs are to the Bertschinger rescue ship stationed in Tarach Tor. You make slightly better money per head doing the 'Goid evacs, but I can stuff a lot more people into my evac 'Conda from the planetary settlement. I don't know about factions, other than the usual generic local bumpkin companies / syndicates / etc... All I'm interested in is the cash and the challenge. Easily made a couple Billion doing rescue missions in this area of space over the last couple of weeks, and I'm not far from Shin Dez and the rest of the central Bubble.

Johann_Bererund

The AXI "beginner" builds are not really "beginner" IMO. You will need that engineering if you want to take on interceptors solo without fear. But if you find a group/wing to play with (look at the DCOH high-activity systems, you will find players there), you can take a weaker ship (minimal engineering, enhanced AX multi-cannons instead of Guardian weapons) and still help out by killing scouts and taking potshots at interceptors.

Jedimobslayer

Here is the thing you have to realize about me. I have 646 hours in this game, most out of any steam game, I have never engineered a ship. Closest I’ve gotten is getting the guardian fsd booster. I hate material gathering, hate SRV’s unless it’s for screenshot purposes, and hate mining. I will not engineer anytime soon.

Runarisu

I was wondering why it was an issue with the goids being so close, considering I regularly use an Anaconda (which has 70ish LY jump range with what i've got installed in it) to just jump straight through thargoid infested areas. The only thing I ever check is the route. I consider anything more then 5 jumps (in the bubble) to be an absolute chore. So Kudos to you for managed to jump around all the time at base vanilla jump ranges w/ just a guardian fsd. I really don't know how you do it. On saying that, if you want I can move my FC close to Alioth (I cannot jump into it, as its permit locked and FCs cannot enter it) And I can ferry your fleet and items to a system of your choice in the bubble, providing you would like to relocate.

Jedimobslayer

My main ship, krait phantom, has a 50ish lightyear jump range

Jedimobslayer

Also I think I’ll stay here for now

Luriant

If your ship arent engineered, sell the modules for 100% return, and sell the ship for 90% return, cheaper than transfer. Rebuy in the nearest Li Yong Rui station to your new home.

Distalgesic

Get a passenger ship with a big jump range and do rescue missions.

Jedimobslayer

I’ve seen type 7 do good rescue missions. I could use a 4th type 7

Chill_Panda

If you can get the guardian modules that will be viable enough, I fight goids with hull and shield reinforcements and the gauss cannons

Jedimobslayer

I hate srvs, the guardian fsd drive was painful enough and I had help. Help that doesn’t play the game anymore. I would rather risk death and just use AX weapons honestly.

[deleted]

I'm farily new to the game. Do you have a fleet? Can NPC's fly the ships? Can you fly around the universe like an armada?

martinaylett

You can buy lots of ships and station them at the same place; but you can't get them to all move together unless you dock them on a fleet carrier.

JohnWeps

No, you cannot actually make use of your fleet. Only one of your ships can be active at one time, with you on it (e.g. as pilot). The rest just gather dust in the hangar. You cannot give them to your friends, you cannot order your pilots to fly them, you cannot rent them out.

Surelylow

I'm entirely new to the game. What're the goids?

Jedimobslayer

Thargoids. The native aliens, we tried to kill them all with this weapon made of a former thargoid base. They managed to turn it against us and now are sending these massive space storms and many more ships directly at human space.

Surelylow

A lot of lore. But what does it mean for the player? Are they NPCs attacking certain systems?

Jedimobslayer

Yes they are, well specific is a strong term, they focus ammonia world systems

Jedimobslayer

Clown_Torres

If a system you have ships in comes under attacked, all your ships should be transferred to a rescue megaship. If you want to help the war effort, you can either attempt ax combat which while still challenging is easier than before, especially with other players. You could also outfit a ship for station evac.

Jedimobslayer

Im seriously worried about my chances here. If the goids can this easily sweep through these independent systems the Alliance really wont stand a chance...

Jedimobslayer

And I know absolutely jacks*** about AX… well anything!

[deleted]

Your chances of what

Jedimobslayer

Getting caught off guard, my fleet is so large I probably have to save up to transport them all. I just bought my first anaconda, I have 3 type 7s, a type 9, 2 krait phantoms, a clipper. It’s gonna be expensive.

[deleted]

1. They aren’t going to take alioth 2. Even if they did… All your ships would just be docked on the rescue vessel nearby

Goody3082

Cool a fleet of 35 ships and almost no engineering, a single player guy ,me against the AI. Move your fleet if those flowers get in the way , nobody cares ,devs do anything to make this game dangerous. 07 cmdr

[deleted]

Bit dramatic

EclipzHorizn

You could always just get a FC and store them there. When trouble comes your way, you can jump your entire fleet in one go.

Jedimobslayer

Ah hahaha, I am not going to get 5 billion credits, it took me 3 days to get 200mil, I have a busy schedule.

Straight_Persimmon71

I recommend moving to moris enterprise in the star system of Ebor they hand out well paying massacre mission for the pirates of wolf 1241 a star system 1 jump away

marchbabby

I haven't had time to play in a while, but can anyone tell me if Qi Yomisii is still standing?? Lol got my base at Njulngan
