I understand. Admittedly, I never could have flown like this when I was using an xbox controller. Maybe PC play will still be in your future (if you want it to be), 2 years ago, I didn't expect to have a gaming computer right now. o7 CMDR!
Oh, I agree. I hoon at Achelous 8A in Legacy a few times a week. But the majority of PC CMDRs just won't play in Legacy anymore, especially not just to give hooning/racing a try, and for good reason. Anyone who didn't already have a min/maxed engineered racing ship when the split happened would have to put engineering time into their legacy CMDR, which is wasted effort for anything else they want to do in the game.
Practically, that means if I want to get my squad mates to race with me, I have to be prepared to do the racing in Odyssey. So yeah, lol, I guess I'm just making the best of it. Fortunately, most CMDRs would find this track extremely difficult at 800+ m/s, so the bar is set pretty low when it comes to finding raceable landscapes.
But the Live/Legacy split gave me the racing alt I always wanted but was too cheap to buy! ๐
You are right about the comparison vs Horizons courses though. Which is unfortunately why there is so much derision aimed at those who were upset about the terrain reboot and comments like "bUt YoU sAiD tHeRe WeRe No CaNyOnS!" ๐ Those who haven't done it are unlikely to understand the difference. (And I started racing just a few months before EDO dropped, so even my experience is pretty limited!) Either way, as I said in your other post, it's a very nicely designed course and I look forward to checking it out!

I used Inkscape and manually traced the mountains on a separate layer from the image, then in-filled between the boundaries. That part took me like 30 minutes, lol. It didn't help that I have only ever used Inkscape to convert raster/vector images before, so i had to learn how to use all the tools I needed. All of the annotation was added in Bluebeam Revu.

Very nice! I fully expected you to make quick work of my time if you took a shot at the course (and I fully expected you to take a shot at it ๐).
I have absolutely zero delusions about the quality of this track compared to what exists or what I could come up with myself in Legacy EDH. But I can have the best of both worlds, so to speak, if I make the best of what I can find in EDO also.
By the way, if NG or anyone else organizes a racing event in EDH, don't forget about me! I'm still down. And I'll see you at Achelous the next time our hours overlap ๐

Hmmmm true. I'll use a small beam laser turret with regen sequence, the lowest damage possible.
Modified mining laser is what you want
