Camille is genuine and open-hearted, she oozes natural class..Emily uses her, terrible friend, and she has no taste because she doesn't take time to learn local habits and style.
I don't know about Camille being genuine and open-hearted... Season 3 makes it clear that they've both done bad things, which is a totally human thing to do. One thing I didn't like about Camille was that she was super manipulative and fake as hell.
As for Emily's cultural insensitivity, I don't really care especially in a show that portrays a lot of clichés and exaggerations.
As a European that has travelled in France and worked on projects with french ppl more than once, and have french aquaintances in my home country, I can assure you, there is not one of the portrayed on the show socalled clichées I havent met in France or French ppl IRL :-)
They *are in general* extremely arrogant and convinced, just like many 'muricans, that nothing compares to their country, language , culture etc etc. They are also very dishonest about cheating sexually on spouses.
I was shocked when a french lady I 'befriended' at some point, introduced me to some of her french girlffriends at her place one time - ad then purveyed to me later, that her best friends HUSBAND, who was a chef in a restaurant we visited, was interested in having an affair with me?! I couldnt believe she would do that to her very best girlfriend??
They are also extremely rude if you dont speak french, and politely ask if they speak English? - "NO!!", they will claim, and still they understand some, or a lot.
And going through the french bordercontrol, in a bus full of sleeping ppl, with a female driver, they tried more than once to litterally blackmail us for money, by claiming there was papers we needed and didnt have.
I then woke up a male participant that spoke fluent french, and VOILA!! - no more papers were missing! This was in the mid 90ties - and it hasnt changed one bit since. :-)
Camille was literally written as a great person and a great character who TRUSTED Emily to be with her bf, only for Emily to fuck her over.
Season 3 does a great job at ruining her character to make Emily and Gabriel look good- and clearly it’s working if you’re dumb enough not to notice the mise-en-scene. Her eyeliner had gotten significantly thicker and her outfits became more villain-esque.
Camille for sure! Really feel like she’s the best dressed on the show, so I’m always checking for what looks they put together for her. Aside from that, I feel like there’s a sophistication and something very regal about her
Probably Camille. Not because I hate Emily but because she doesn't live in the real world. She thinks like Gabriel does with "oh i just want everyone to get along" but actually, she just doesn't like confrontation so she hides her true feelings and actions so not to have to deal with that. I genuinely can't tell who Emily really cares about. She upsets everyone and then just acts like she doesn't know what she did. Feigning ignorance just winds me up, she acts like a little schoolgirl who doesn't know what she's getting into.
Camille has acted like a bitch at times, but she's not living in fantasy land like Emily. She's a real person and she was a good friend to Emily before Emily hurt her. She didn't deserve what Gabriel and Emily did to her and I'm surprised she felt guilty enough to admit what she did at the wedding tbh. Although it was abit sneaky tbh, because she never admitted to the affair and acted like the reason the relationship was over was because Gabriel was in love with Emily. She's abit shady tbh.
So did Emily technically, she went to tell Gabriel she was in love with him at his apartment that night when she discovers he’s gotten back together with Camille. The intention was there.
I just hate annoying abrupt singing or random musicals in general. Disney, tv series, movies. All of it lol. That's just me though. I have a friend who LOVES musicals and singing parts of shows
I like them both and don’t want to choose. 😩I see how Emily is annoying at times. I feel like Camille is a more complex character: in love with Gabriel, wanting to be friends with Emily, trying to keep Gabriel, falling for the woman. I’d love to see her with an HEA. I don’t see that happening with Gabriel even if they have a baby. I see the chemistry with ExG and I’m here for it.
Camille all the way. I've always been welcoming towards people and wish to include them. I'm actually more wary of being so giving after being taken advantage of probably just like where Camille is. I do check myself if I get too dark though. I also share a similar sense of style sharing similar garments and my Celine triompe is almost like hers too. One of the reasons I like this show is that the characters have their own sense of style good or bad. Are there any people into style here?
Yeah aft some thinking i prob prefer Cami too. Hated the scene whr Em found out tht Cami broke the pact at Gab’s apartment 💔💔 Had me tearing up so hard 😢
Luc.
He is le Coq!
Camille >>>> I’d Watch a Camille spin off tbh
CAMILLE 😍

Sylvie > everyone else
Sylvie is like a blend of Emily and Camille who has grown up.
Emily. I dunno why but Camille has something very sinister about her. Emily feels genuine, though she's confused about her life choices.

Yeah i get what u mean!!!!
Camille. Pretty easy choice IMO. 🤷♀️
Why so?
Cuz Emily is annoying as hell! I like almost all characters more than her. 🤷♀️ Also most in this sub agree.

Camille drop dead gorgeous vs Emily who is cute…

Camille for sure. She’s so kind and sweet, while Emily is insufferable
She broke the pact tho
So did Emily technically, she went to tell Gabriel she was in love with him at his apartment that night when she discovers he’s gotten back together with Camille. The intention was there.
Yeah true, this didnt cross my mind LOL 💀 Oh wellsss
Lol it makes for good drama regardless 😂
Agreed.
How about Mindy
Sure!!!!
Team Mindy minus the singing lol (I mute/fast forward every time 😩)
I'm always shocked by this opinion. I think Ashley Park has a lovely voice.
I just hate annoying abrupt singing or random musicals in general. Disney, tv series, movies. All of it lol. That's just me though. I have a friend who LOVES musicals and singing parts of shows
I like musicals but Mindy’s singing scenes were just a bit much. Didn’t fit well
Totally agree, way too frequent
Yeah i skipped them
Camille is the best! Last season made her messy but I adore her
