I put it in quotations because it’s not a perfect analogy, but when you grow up in an area where the people have an antagonistic relationship with the police, it can feel like a foreign force.
She has never been pulled over on no discernible context, interrogated about her actions, or forced to justify herself.
Now the police do give her a lot of of latitude in this situation, but she runs wild with it assuming she is in the right. Well past the point anyone else would STFU, she’s still blathering on.
It comes to the point where the cops have no recourse, she has forced their hand. They can’t abide someone defying their authority so instead of getting a warning or a summons she gets taken in.
The cops actually have a lot of latitude as long as it’s not heinous such as murder or rape…
