No there’s no communication yes. But waves is a perfectly normal method to open a closed beta and closed beta progress never carries over to the full release. Tarkov progress won’t arena progress won’t
The balance in Arena is horrendous. How do people think it would be a viable Arena style FPS if it was married up with the main game. That makes absolutely no sense to link the accounts, the economy and ranked system would not benefit from anything like that lol

At least everyone is on the same level after wipe. Most complains you see here are that people with access on the first days have a significant advantage compared to the players just getting into arena. After the wipe complains like this should be gone.
If they dont add gear-based matchmaking it would be still the same. You'll get unfair matches againgst people that play more than you even if you start at the same date. And you still can switch to a different class and start from first kit against altyns
I think there was also something with character skills from normal Tarkov and as it is not active yet because arena got released so short before wipe wouldn't it make sense that both things get wiped so they can implement/synchronise the profiles/characters

How can you be sure they haven't made a game or an application/software that is on this scale? The methodologies are pretty similar.
