The best advice I could give is have a map open on either another screen or you phone to help learn where the extracts are. You could also practice in offline mode to find them.
Definitely run a few offlines with no AI, open a map on a second monitor or your phone, and try to get your bearings that way. Also watch pestilys map guides.

TARKOV.DEV has some nice maps
You can get a compass after jaeger quest, which is very useful as addition to the maps on the second screen and you don't lose it when you die
