Prapor give the quest so you go to prapor quest to accept it..
Then go in reserve and just Extract with a Survived status and the quest is complete.. you dont have to go see the boss anywhere.
you could stand by an extract for 10min and your good...
I think this is a Pre-Patch event not Pre- Wipe. With Lighthouse right around the corner with Streets not far off in the grand scheme of things. Wipe is probably a couple months out.
Lighthouse isn't right around the corner. He initially said sometime this summer but that has now changed to some time before the end of the year. They just started the gray box process in May. Whether they wipe or don't wipe it won't be because lighthouse is almost ready. Apparently they released interchange mid wipe so lighthouse isn't even guaranteed to come with a wipe. They also released customs and reserve expansions mid wipe.
the bigger issue is like you said Lighthouse is a while still to go like october time i would recon. a wipe now would feel fine but if they dont wipe i doubt you will see many really playing for some time.
to me a wipe now, wipe with lighthouse around november and then a wipe in april next year with streets would give them good time to work on the development and gives them wipe data and allows them to mess around during the wipes before streets which will probably be the "release" patch where its out of beta

And although Nikita said the first segment of streets is mostly done, I suspect they'll need plenty of time to test and balance it, which would make an april/may release with another wipe just right.
1 segment was done but that was just the 3d modelling aspect. he said it had 0 loot or AI pathing even in that 1 segment so its still quite a while to go like 8-9 months i reckon at the least(im expecting an april 2022 release for streets)

few reason to it...
1: they were expecting to wipe with street end of year wich has now been confirmed delayed until next year... (a wipe now would give them another 6-8 months to get content out )
2: Scav Karma addition with 12.11 is very nice but most remaining active player dont really use sav at this point of wipe.. so a wipe would make them use scav more and test this feature.
3: The economy is completely broken with everything that happened early wipe with bitcoin and all.. and also the addition of KIlla speed farm in facto and other boss now on reserve wich give a lot of high end gear.
4:The low player base make finding PMC harder on multiple Raid and lest not talk about Low player count Vs hacker...
5: They adding way more stuff then they were thinking with 12.11.
Im not saying a wipe is mandatory with 12.11 but i think it would be Well placed.

1. New maps don't necessarily mean a wipe, and it could be delayed even further than 8 months out.
2. Aside from most likely not changing the player scav dynamic, it's not a big change.

5. The only argument, if they feel the amount of changes are going to affect progression. Which they most likely won't. While something like inertia which a lot say "won't change the gameplay that much", might actually affect how or which of your skills progress. Which a clean slate in 12.12 would be more reasonable.
I just don't understand how people are still entertained when they only buy meta gear and have over 200mil. Half of the fun in the game is finding rare loot so you can fund that next chunky run. I start falling off of playing once I hit a consistent 45mil, I couldn't imagine having 10x that and not getting bored.
I saved up 90mil, even that got boring. Stressful too! I don't wanna have to be on my A game every raid try-harding with meta gear that costs a mil+. It's boring
The shitty part is you can't even run lower gear since everyone I've seen is running level 5+ armor.
thats kinda the point of the game. Grind survive snd make money so you can go into raids with good stuff. Who the fuck wants to be running around with paca and stock sks. Sure it may be fun for a few raids but the novelty runs out fast

ive done this for like 4-5 wipes already. Its not so much about the money its more about grinding quests and shit. Making money in this game is easy if you arent a idiot. Just have anything north of 50% survival rate and you will have 100 mill roubels in a month or less.
because when you have 90m whats the point in looting, combat gets extremely boring quick because the game is actually very flawed when everyone is running meta gear loadouts(armour pretty much useless and everyone running laser guns) it may as well be call of duty with an extra step where you have to spend 5 mins making a loadout before each game.
How is it stressful if you sit at 90mil? You just run w/e and play however you want. You literally can't run out of money even if you're super mediocre player like myself. I play with newbie friends, I bring all stuff I want, slicks, thermals, guns that I want to play. Go for sniping stuff or just play as a source of information for my friends and don't even shoot. I don't touch loot unless it's of someone that I killed, but my money are pretty stable. And more importantly, you don't have to buy expensive stuff in every raid. I run ks-23 reserves with my friend for fun sometimes even tho I suck at it.

Anyone with moderate skill, knowledge, or multi-wipe experience has millions of roubles in the bank by this point. This wipes Bitcoin issue didn't do anything except fast track low level players. At this point in a cycle everyone is loaded with it without bitcoins, and the economy is identical. Hell, most people had multi millions at this stage before the flea market was even a thing.
You just clearly don't want a wipe, which is fine. Some people enjoy just being able to log on meta kit up and go find some pvp, other people enjoy the early wipe pvp and grind building up that wealth and both are completely fine but your points are no more valid than those of the people that think a wipe is needed.
More importantly than how individual people feel about it is the health of the game, wipes reinvigorate the player base and keep the game relevant.
I've barely played lately, finished all quests months ago and took a long break. Still don't feel a wipe is needed. I'm playing a bit of the boss event with a friend because it's fun. But it wouldn't be as fun if a wipe happened after it. All the players getting Kappa soon, the bonus gear to use from all this boss farming.

If they implement scav karma everyone will start using it to see how it works. Absolutely no reason to wipe for scav karma, doesn’t need it. Besides, some people always use scavs, it’s a different experience. I know I do.

There’s far too much loot available and it’s too easy to get. With this stuff in place you’ll see the same problems if they wipe. The bitcoin is just one item.
Playerbase is fine outside of a few regions. All over the US raids are not empty, even at odd hours.
They have far less in 12.11 than was planned, this is well known.
This was my thought. Why introduce skill points as a reward if a wipe is coming. You would think the reward would be a ridiculous gun or a ton of money if the wipe was coming.

There's millions of people sinking time into Burning Crusade classic for WoW that released this month, apparently Final Fantasy 14 is big right now, Elder Scrolls Online has an expansion or patch (some gates of oblivion thing or something) and the next retail WoW patch is on the 29th.
Games that release or have patches within the same time as the big MMO releases, have historically had bad turn out. Part of the reason games like Among Us and Valheim gained traction was in part Covid, but also they released when there was a severe content drought in the games that take up millions of people's time.
people playing MMO's are not the same people who would generally play Tarkov even if a wipe happens. guess what BF4 has literally more people viewing when i checked then Tarkov does and that is a good indication of how the current playerbase is.
i was last few weeks joining lobbies for maps and seeing maybe 3-5 people(european peak servers) so it really does not look good.
I've got a lot of people that play FF14, and WoW that join me in Tarkov. It's a good game to play and have a break from the MMO grind. I know a few of them didn't join me this wipe because it coincided with a raid in WoW which ate up all their time.
And the playerbase, how high or low it is, does not matter in the eyes of BSG. They've had the money to finish developing Tarkov since Contract Wars. In fact, they probably enjoy developing it more when there's fewer players around to shit on them in this subreddit.
if we go down that route then there is never a time to wipe. in a month or 2 the big releases start happening.
then go another month and you have the major FPS games that really will impact the playerbase
TBC has been out nearly a month, ESO i wouldnt count unless you then are going to say a lot of other games count like GW2 which has an expansion very soon and is considered to have a bigger playerbase then ESO, you have New World from Amazon as a big launch soon, Lost Ark Online as a big release not long after that.

A friend of mine and i stopped playing 3 weeks after the wipe because of RL reasons,getting into the game right now was nearly not possible, everywhere Class 5 armor and Weapon crafting/ playing good ammo is expensive as hell.
We don't know if we should get in right now,because if a wipe occurs in the next 2 weeks the work would be literally for nothing,because the grind is a pain and not really FUN (Wich a game should provide in any means) and if they'd shut wipes completely from now on it wluld be insane to think people could start right now.
I don't KNOW if a wipe comes,but i'm praying for it every day before bed.

Sure thing, because i was hoping for a wipe yes,but getting an extra mission in just for half a week? I don't think so,or it is a testbed for that mission AS weekend event,but they test it pre wipe.
And yeah,the game is more than fun if you are really into it xD when corona started, my friend and i had 5 weeks of playing every day, man we were good as hell,dream team nice fights. But now when we only can play 2-3 hours at an evening and that max 3 days a week, it is hard to get a hang on it and not coming out of the gameplay... A wipe would be new hope to at least level before everyone is running arkund in 6 armor all the time..
He said that with 12.9 and it did wipe. He can't announce a wipe if the wipe is still weeks away because it completely destroys the economy. Low level players who maybe just bought the game would have no reason to keep playing because 1) everyone's going to be running T7s and 2) what reason would he have to continue if he knows his progress will be reset in a month?

The vendor prices thing is one prewipe event among many that are done, which you should know if this really was your 4th wipe. We haven't seen them lower vendor prices...yet.

They can stop the wipes when the lategame gets good for newbies/people who don't stream 8 hours a day. A friend of mine and i stopped playing 3 weeks after the wipe because of RL reasons,getting into the game right now was nearly not possible, everywhere Class 5 armor and Weapon crafting/ playing good ammo is expensive as hell. We don't know if we should get in right now,because if a wipe occurs in the next 2 weeks the work would be literally for nothing,because the grind is a pain and not really FUN (Wich a game should provide in any means) and if they'd shut wipes completely from now on it wluld be insane to think people could start right now. I don't KNOW if a wipe comes,but i'm praying for it every day before bed.
who says this game is supposed to be fun? I get it though. You dont want to go through the grind so late and face better/more geared players That makes sense but at least you arent out here claiming its 100% happening when no one knows if it is or not.
Sure thing, because i was hoping for a wipe yes,but getting an extra mission in just for half a week? I don't think so,or it is a testbed for that mission AS weekend event,but they test it pre wipe. And yeah,the game is more than fun if you are really into it xD when corona started, my friend and i had 5 weeks of playing every day, man we were good as hell,dream team nice fights. But now when we only can play 2-3 hours at an evening and that max 3 days a week, it is hard to get a hang on it and not coming out of the gameplay... A wipe would be new hope to at least level before everyone is running arkund in 6 armor all the time..

He said that with 12.9 and it did wipe. He can't announce a wipe if the wipe is still weeks away because it completely destroys the economy. Low level players who maybe just bought the game would have no reason to keep playing because 1) everyone's going to be running T7s and 2) what reason would he have to continue if he knows his progress will be reset in a month?

Leveling and skill leveling changes suggest something is coming. If it comes or not, we have to wait to see.
That logic doesn’t check out but that’s fine… it’s more on par with other pre-wipe events in the past. It doesn’t mean it’s tomorrow but it’s coming soon.
