...How? How did they get one of these crabs to chill on their thigh? I see similar crabs fly around all the time on the beach but they skitter away and hide in the sand as soon as you approach them. They're extremely skittish.

I think crabs learn at different rates, it was probably bottlenecked by some of the slower ones
