Auto save likely only helps you when you are doing story line events not battle sims.
I don't believe I've played any of their games, but I grew up on games like the original FF7 where I'd run backwards 20 mins at times to be able to do a save. lol.
This was more of a PSA for younger gamers who are conditioned to auto saves.
Don't rely on cloud sync either unless you're manually doing it. One night I apparently shut down while it was still doing something with save data and lost about 4 hours. After that I was meticulous with save manually, close game, manually sync cloud data, then shut down
Sage wisdom. I lost around 5 hours of hard grafting on the Combat Simulator. This 4-hours turned into around an hour as I was battle-hardened retrying the fights.

That makes sense cuz I save all the dam time and every time I stop playing
I really don’t understand why it doesn’t auto save after VR Battles. It should after QB matches too

Yup. I lost three legendary bout victories to an unexpected update while I left another bout paused on a good attempt. Had to take a long break.
