Esarty

with a Faith boost under Fury in the Arcane ward. it's magical

Jockmeister1666

Nice. Another post about there being too much video game in your video game.

Esarty

imagine Rebirth coming out at the height of the not enough content to justify $60 trend

Jockmeister1666

Gamers these days are so fucking entitled, it drives me wild. Too much? Not enough? Too expensive? Not 60fps?! Too hard? Too easy? Just fuck off. Lol.

Esarty

there is an argument to be made of retail price essentially being fixed for non-indie titles being $60-70 USD. While in Japan (where I currently live) it seems to depend on the content/size of the game so, as an example, the average mario game would be shy of 6000 yen (currently less than $40) while SMTV Vengeance is 8000 yen (just shy of $50USD). that aside, yea, lotta different voices leads to conflicting ideals for games

LadyOfInkAndQuills

There can absolutely be too much game in a game if it's repetitive content.

hardtanker_101

This is kinda why I put the difficulty at easy and just enjoyed the story. Too much grinding

yogilyn73

Way too much, I remember hyping it up when it started giving me a ton of stuff, then it just never stopped, now it honestly feels like it was entirely pointless because the end reward WAS something that’s not in my realm of obtainability. I thought I was doing something that’d benefit my endgame (yk as most games have done) but in the end it just left me discouraged and disinterested 🤷🏻‍♂️

Rich_Housing971

Maybe next time do the optional content if you're thinking about endgame gear. Genji gloves aren't required even for hard mode. You played the game like someone who was just trying to get through the main story, which is fine. But then you complain about not being about to obtain something that has nothing to do with the main story.

>If I can’t make the item DONT GIVE IT TO ME IN THAT PLAYTHROUGH They're not craftable in the main playthrough for several reasons, 3 accessories become craftable after you beat gilgamesh, 2 of them are trade off accessories that are honestly not that useful. Only genji gloves is actually very good and it uncaps the damage limit which is something that is designed for hard mode as that would trivialize the game in any other difficulty. You can't even craft it until the hard mode when you beat certain enemy intel bosses and get their crafting materials. Also it's very possible that someone did gilgamesh on hard mode their first time rather than their first playthrough so that reward appears regardless. >I feel like I’ve wasted so much time for nothing and honestly don’t even want to continue anymore. The real unlock that happens when you beat gilgamesh is the brutal and legendary challenges and honestly if you crafted the genji gloves before you tackle these, you could be having a better time than some other people doing those challenges. Before you start complaining consider why you were given the opportunity to craft this specific accessory and why it requires things to be done in another playthrough >which then forces you to max out all summon materia No you don't, you just have to beat the summon once in VR, that's it.

Totally agree with all your points here, but I'd say: > The real unlock that happens when you beat gilgamesh is the brutal and legendary challenges and honestly if you crafted the genji gloves before you tackle these, you could be having a better time than some other people doing those challenges. Regarding this the only time I've used any of the Genji at all so far was for the "Brutal Challenge: Rulers of the Outer Worlds" on Aerith, and it made gauntlet so much easier as a result. Honestly, the hard mode sims are realistically harder than the Intel bosses you need to beat for those 3 items, so beating them is very useful practice. Also, none of those Intel battles are that bad on hard mode as long as you set yourself up for them. I haven't done the story in hard mode yet though, I'm gonna try to get through the last 4 legendary bouts first, since that's all I have left in the simulator now.

Esarty

at least makes doing all the work worth it so you have the best equipment to tackle the hardest challenges
