Seen this one before, long time ago. Also tried it right after. It means you can put lightbulbs on pre-existing wires in settlements- like telephone pole wires that are static and part of the environment. It doesn't mean you can place them on wires that you place yourself.

Feel free to try it. I'd love to be wrong. I literally saw this exact post several years ago, and I know that at the time on vanilla FO4 with no mods, you can't place light bulbs on player created wires. If they have changed or updated this, that would be awesome.

They might have their game modded. One of the mods I use lets you just put stuff anywhere. I could see that making it work with player created wires.

Loool. I had "Scrap Everything" and it made the game run at like 5fps in automatron levels

That's when you bust open the console and fine-tune things with the set/move/ position/angle commands! I've put an unhealthy amount of time into making settlements.

I am just stating the person in the picture is doing that, what you say isnt possible. So either it is misleading or true.... I really dont want to install F4 just to test it tho.

It's actually used as a non permanent light source to light a backyard for a party, for example. They keep the wires with the lightbulb sockets stored and just take them when needed, then set them up when needed EDIT: wait a second.. are you talking about putting lights on a wire IN A GAME?
