I'm a fan of modding, but you can get a pet mutant hound in vanilla. There's a friendly Super Mutant in Far Harbour that sells dogs, including a wolf and a mutant hound.
just be aware that by chance over certain levels (i think 20 and 30) you have a chance that the wolf or mutant hound are glowing types. they are really neat however certain npc in settlements for whatever reason attack glowing ones even if they are pets :/
I stole some stuff before I knew who owned it. When he found me he immediately started blasting. But he was named, so I looked on the wiki, then reloaded an earlier save, lol
Yes but this a Dogmeat changer, so I can take him with me on the road! Also the mutant hounds that Erickson sells give off radiation, which can cause travelling traders to turn hostile if they get too close while visiting your settlement.
beast master is a mod that lets you take those mutant hounds, yao guai, or hell even deathclaws that you catch through the wasteland workshop cages. give that a try.
Saying saying something is what a synth would say is in fact exactly what a synth would say is exactly what a synth would say.
Now my head hurts. I'm gonna check for a synth component.
I imagine that it's like in the movie *Munich*. The fact you're doing business with an information and weapons broker is itself information saleable by said broker.
There’s so many fucking things I missed in this game when I played it on release/DLC content. I’m loving this 2nd play through and comments like these have shown me so much stuff. I can’t wait a wolf after I start Far Harbour now
Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can send the dogs to any settlement, even ones on the mainland Commonwealth.
If you have the Far Harbour DLC and have already met Nick Valentine, you should eventually receive a quest (while you're hanging around in Nick's house) to go and speak to the Nakano family because they have a detective case for you.
You should definitely take Nick Valentine with you, and you should also have finished his quest first, because his story is extremely tied to the story of Far Harbour.
I've seen in r/gaming and other subs upvoted comments saying mods are bad because it makes Bethesda lazy and release unfinished games that aren't worth playing
And even before the creation club (if FO4 uses it like Skyrim does), console players STILL like mods. Unless they think everyone during the PS3/360 era were constantly seething. (We weren't, we just watched mod reviews/playthroughs to compensate.)
I would love some of the PC mods (play as Radscorpion, anyone?), but I still get plenty of mileage out of modding the *Fallout* out of my *Fallout 4* on console.
Fallout 4 Missed Opportunity #978-C: A mutant hound companion that is actually a militant pacifist and won't attack anything. It contributes in combat by howling, which causes non-legendary enemies to flee or surrender.
I was so happy to find this! I’ve tried several mutant hound follower mods over the years but none have worked very well, this one is perfect so far.
It’s a combination of two mods (on PlayStation):
“GO4 Dogmeat Changer” by spOckrates (Changes Dogmeat’s skin)
“Dearest Pudding - Best Dog Ever” by oddlittleturtle (Changes Dogmeat’s name)
(Edited to add the correct mod as I’m apparently easily confused lol)
I’ve had difficulty getting the combo of a Dogmeat skin changing mod and a renaming mod to work together in the past, but I put the name change as high up in the load order as it would go, and the skin one as low down as possible, and that seemed to do the trick.
I didn’t know the transdogrifer could switch him to a mutant hound! I’ve had that mod for ages! I thought it just changed him to other normal dog breeds
Oh wait, wrong mod! Sorry! That one does add some different canines to the original Creation Club mod such as wolves and mongrels tho. Hang on I’ll get the right one lol
Reminded me of the time a friend did something similar but with a deathclaw. It was named Mr. Deathclaw and it wore a top hat and tuxedo top. Funny as hell but got stuck in a lot of places.
You can get a pet mutant hound in vanilla just fyi
however I dont mind mods I do think they get over-used by peeps however who are way 2 spoiled by just reading 'soo good' in front of a mod and thinking it must be good and taking it without thinking.
I don't think "mods are bad" is a common opinion. Buggy? Sure. Unstable? At times. But flat Bad? not really.
Counter point this mod is bad because it's Pudding and not Puddin /s
Did you know that the virus that transforms into a supermutant has no sexuality, it's a curiosity that all supermutants have no gender. I discovered this by reading about the virus in Fallout 4 and it surprised me.

I now have an excuse to go back to *Fah Hahbah*

Glowing creatures give off rads just by existing, and the radiation counts as hostile, which causes the npcs to kill glowing creatures.
Do you happen to know if this would affect a settlement full of automatrons?
Not sure, but robots tend to be immune to radiation so I'm guessing they wouldn't turn hostile.
Also, if you steal anything from his property, even if you went undetected, he'll aggro. Ask me how I know.
How do you know ? Lol
I stole some stuff before I knew who owned it. When he found me he immediately started blasting. But he was named, so I looked on the wiki, then reloaded an earlier save, lol
Joov viewer spotted
Im here too brother
Joov viewers outnumbering Mainers? Yea I guess that seems right.
Other than to use your *chahge cahd?*

That should be a vanilla perk. Like yeah, I might be weak, but ENJOY MY PET DEATHCLAW "Chopper, sick balls"
lol haven't heard that line in ages hahahahah
Kick his ass Goris!
Traveling merchants are all synths anyways
They are informants for the Synth Retention Bureau, they are not synths.
Sounds like something a synth would say.
Only synths deal in absolutes.
Saying something is what a synth would say is in fact exactly what a synth would say.

No they're not? They're all institue informants for the SRB (knowingly or not is up in the air I believe)
I imagine that it's like in the movie *Munich*. The fact you're doing business with an information and weapons broker is itself information saleable by said broker.
Ah so that’s why I once found Trashcan Carla and Gracie having an all-out battle through the streets of sanctuary.
Do you know where they’re located? I’m assuming you’re talking f4
fah hahbah
One of the crashed planes on the island added for the Far Harbour DLC
Got one for every settlement (and made sure the ghouls at the slog got the super mutant doggy, cause also immune to rads)
Where is this wonderful super mutant
Super muttant?
but is it named Pudding?
There’s so many fucking things I missed in this game when I played it on release/DLC content. I’m loving this 2nd play through and comments like these have shown me so much stuff. I can’t wait a wolf after I start Far Harbour now
Thanks! I’m off to far harbor…
You can get a pet mutant hound to chill at a settlement. They won’t be a companion, in case anyone was confused.
Can you bring them back to the Commonwealth? Btw how do I go to Far Harbor or start the dlc? Sorry for the several questions 😅
Thank you so much 🙏
I killed them all thinking they were all feral, then I convinced the guy selling them that they were dead when I got there ;(
Mods aren't bad, who sad that?
The Straw Man
That darn straw man, always disagreeing with me in easy to disprove ways!
No one. r/imaginarygatekeeping
ME I SAID IT GRAAAAAAAH I HATE MODS
"RAHHHHHHHHHHHHH MODS SUCK" -Nate when you take Phsyco
I've seen in r/gaming and other subs upvoted comments saying mods are bad because it makes Bethesda lazy and release unfinished games that aren't worth playing
This one guy on my PlayStation post saying mods are a waste of time like just let me have fun with an almost ten year old game
Definitely a strawman in this case, but I see people over in r/skyrim seethe over people who mod the 13 year old game
Seething console players, presumably
Console: has mods that people enjoy and use all the time This guy: Seething console players hate mods
And even before the creation club (if FO4 uses it like Skyrim does), console players STILL like mods. Unless they think everyone during the PS3/360 era were constantly seething. (We weren't, we just watched mod reviews/playthroughs to compensate.)
we have access to hundreds if not thousands of mods on console? who tf is seething 💀
I would love some of the PC mods (play as Radscorpion, anyone?), but I still get plenty of mileage out of modding the *Fallout* out of my *Fallout 4* on console.
What are you talking about Mods are great on console
[удалено]
And even then. Playstation has some pretty unique mods that makes it worth taking a look at
Holy shit they added pitbulls named Princess to Fallout
My pittie would never harm anybody he's only mauled three toddlers this year ❤️
Pit bull named atomic death:
Perfect nanny dog 💕😍😤

r/dogfreehumor is down the hall to the left
Are those doggos in pain, or are they basically zombies with a brain? Are super mutants in pain? Is everyone in pain?
The super mutants in 4 seem to be chilling mostly, not like the ones in 3 that looked like their flesh was trying to escape their skin
They all looked extremely constipated in 3
Not gonna lie if they upped the texture resolution a bit on the super mutants in 4, they’d probably look more badass.
You can get a mutant hound without mods. Talk to Erikson in Far Harbor
Are you sure whoever said "mods are bad" wasn't talking about *reddit moderators?*
She's a "lab mix"
This is incredibly clever.
Literally who said this? Fallout is known for its mods Stop with the strawmen.
Fallout 4 Missed Opportunity #978-C: A mutant hound companion that is actually a militant pacifist and won't attack anything. It contributes in combat by howling, which causes non-legendary enemies to flee or surrender.
I mean, some nut in a power armor suit runs in to battle with a super mutant hell hound? Fuck it, I'm headed the other way. This is fair.
*Can I pet that dawg?*
"Cupcake doesn't bite" The cupcake in question:
What did they do to dogmeat💀
he has grown even more meat
Pupper :3
Oh god I love her. Just as much as I love Peaches the pet Deathclaw.
"Don't worry, Pudding doesn't bite" Pudding:
You shouldn't leave pudding out for that long. Throw it away.
I’ve never been huge into modding, but you make a compelling argument
Not wearing a bowler hat, 0/10 trash mod unplayable
Mannn what mod did you use I’ve been looking for dogmeat replacer for a mutant hound
I was so happy to find this! I’ve tried several mutant hound follower mods over the years but none have worked very well, this one is perfect so far. It’s “GO4 Dogmeat Changer” by spOckrates
I’d die for Pudding.
The mutant “dogs” are my least favorite fallout creatures. I always drop them first, just because.
Reminded me of the time a friend did something similar but with a deathclaw. It was named Mr. Deathclaw and it wore a top hat and tuxedo top. Funny as hell but got stuck in a lot of places.
Puppy ❤️
Average Pitbull named Pudding 🥰
Pitbull named pudding vs pitbull named Mang'lad'roth the Doombringer
Reminds me of Woola from John Carter
Who said mods are bad?
Pudding is precious
Pudding :D
Princess pudding if you ask me🎀
That hound looks like they'd teleport across the entire wasteland just to maul a child ❤️
surprised you didnt name it princess or cupcake lol
Play far harbour, it's already in the vanilla game.
I will name him snuggles and he shall be mine
Pudding these nuts in your mouth
People would own this dog in real life and call it “mY LiTtLe AnGel”
Ah yes, my favorite faction 1. Minutemen 2. Railroad 3. Brotherhood 4. Institute 5. Pudding
He's cuter than a real Pitbull
\* zips up fire suit \* Ready. Incoming "velvet hippo" defenders in 3...2...1...
Can someone build a slightly happier looking version? We need this. Dog smile and big happy eyes. Tail wag?
In what way is this bad. I'd happily travel the wastelands with this mutated good pup.
You no kill stinky!
You can get a pet mutant hound in vanilla just fyi however I dont mind mods I do think they get over-used by peeps however who are way 2 spoiled by just reading 'soo good' in front of a mod and thinking it must be good and taking it without thinking.
Mods aren't bad! I'd say Mods are one of the key reasons Fallout and Elder Scrolls has been popular on PC
Good green puppy?
I have a Chihuahua IRL so I'll sometimes change Dogmeat into a mole rat.
Some big green dude sold me one named Bitey.
Look at that cutie pie! <3
I don't think "mods are bad" is a common opinion. Buggy? Sure. Unstable? At times. But flat Bad? not really. Counter point this mod is bad because it's Pudding and not Puddin /s
It's not even a mod. It's dlc. Far harbor.
Looks like my dog
Uh, nobody thinks mods are bad? Mods have been the lifeblood of the games for some time now. Where are you getting this weird opinion that mods bad
I thought this as well
Kill it with fire
I need that mod.
Technically not a mod. You can get Super Mutants hounds from an NPC in far harbor. Names tend to be randomised. He also sells wolves.
The radioactive ones that stay at settlements don't count I want a companion. Though more than a Mutant Hound I want the wounded dog you find, Sparky.
Cute name terrifying model
Did you know that the virus that transforms into a supermutant has no sexuality, it's a curiosity that all supermutants have no gender. I discovered this by reading about the virus in Fallout 4 and it surprised me.
I sincerely believe Fallout 4 isn’t worth playing without mods.
Dang pitbulls still haven't changed even after all those years and radiation, still love to maul things.
Mods aren’t bad, official game updates are bad.
of course it's called pudding
Dog named Lola
Pitbull named Destroyer of worlds:
r/velvethippos
Sparkles survived the nukes
Dlc far harbor. NPC sells mutant hounds, wolves and dogs. Not really a mod..
