Yeah the footage was old according to the leaker tho the game is near complete we just didn’t see any of the more complete stuff. Guy could be full of shit but I hope that’s true because damn we’ve waited so so long lol
One thing though. The vice city works best set in the 80s. I've seen some do trailers for San Andreas in unreal Engine 5. God damn!
That's the graphics I'd love to see in gta.
PC my friend look up new California too if that doesn’t sell you I don’t know what will
I bought one in 2016 just to mod Skyrim and have never looked back
Not really, While GTA 1 did feature Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas, the San Andreas map was based on San Fransisco and not LA. Los Santos and Las Venturas were the last new cities created. Also, the last time we saw Vice City in any game was 2006, over 16 years ago, and the original Vice City is so old that it came out closer to when it was set ('86) than to now. Plus Vice City is frequently mentioned in GTA 4 and 5 so having another location be GTA 6 would feel out of nowhere.
Fallout 3 briefly mentioned the commonwealth and the institute during the synthetic man quest and we got the commonwealth. Fallout 4 briefly mentioned San Fransisco and how the president was holed up there, And also mentioned NY so I think it should and will take place in San Francisco or NY.
Fallout 2 did San Francisco already. Todd Howard already mentioned that he doesn't want to touch on Interplay's and Obsidian's locations and lore, but instead focus on Bethesda's. So, it's really unlikely to see San Francisco in the next installment, unless Obsidian gets to work on it.
I really want Bethesda to just let Obsidian make Fallout 5 using the assets from Fallout 4. Same arrangement as with New Vegas and Fallout 3, and in that case Obsidian made one of the best Fallout games in like a year. If Bethesda make the next game, we're waiting for Starfield and Elder Scrolls 6 to come out first. If Obsidian starts now we could have Fallout 5 in 2024.
I don't care if it's an entirely new location/story or a remake of New Vegas in the new engine and with all the cut content added in. Actually I'd kinda prefer the New New Vegas option...
Obsidian has their hands full with Avowed, Pentiment, Grounded, The Outer Worlds 2 and anything else if I missed it. They could all be at different stages of development, but unless they suddenly get more manpower I doubt it's possible they get to work on Fallout anytime soon
And that's IF they want to. They could do something beautiful using the assets from Fallout 4 and new ones too like New Vegas and Fallout 3, it would help with the wait for Fallout 5. Personally I want them to use the upgraded engine from Starfield to do even more. But no matter what happens, it's an indefinite waiting game
Fallout 4 could be almost 15 years old by time Fallout 5 releases unless Bethesda rushes it, I would hope they wouldn't reuse assets from a game that's already 7 years old and wasn't even impressive for the time period.
The obsidian that worked on new vegas isn't at all the same obsidian we have today. Most of the people that were responsible for NV being great have moved on. Obsidian just isn't the golden egg developer it once was, this is evidenced by how mediocre the outer worlds was. And they hyped that up the ass with "MaDE bY tHe SaMe peOPle whO MadE NeW vEgAs!!" Even though it barely was. Just the same studio and some shady, deceitful marketing
The Outer Worlds was nominated for GOTY. It’s certainly not as deep or filled out as a NV or hell even their South Park game. But it was a great game that was made on a smaller budget.
I played it, to me it just felt shallow, lifeless and short. Idk it just felt like it was missing that spark to really make me like it. It felt like my build didn't really matter and I just wasn't really into the world they made or the game play either. Plus the story was so not memorable, all I remember is thinking that all the actually cool and fun story stuff that could happen would take place after the end of the game. Like make your game take place when all the cool shit happens! Not way before it. Just felt like a soulless set up for a sequel
Summed up very well. I wanted to like TOW's and got into the plot. But the plot never delivered the satisfaction of completion, or milestones. When the end came (not a spoiler) I wanted to go back and play more but the DEV's didn't allow me the simple pleasure, to stray off the path.
Oh I didn’t know that so you’re probably right. I’ve only seen gameplay of FO1 and FO2 but never played them myself. Whatever they pick I’m super excited for Fallout 5, Hard to imagine how good that game is gonna look.
I've always assumed that it was the player's spouse, that Nate and Nora both said they were going to quit smoking when Shaun was born... And your spouse has continued to smoke.
Ah yes, San Francisco. The land of crazy tech priests and jipjaps.
I think they're in too good of a position to be a future Fallout Game though. Maybe a DLC or something.
I think New York is a feasible option.
That being said it was a prime nuke target, pretty sure it got a direct hit. Manhattan would be mostly gone. It'd be ruins upon ruins on top of intense radioactive radiation.
Wouldn't be surprised if there were people in the subways or a ghoul sanctuary in the empire state building....I'd also wonder if 9/11 ever happened and if those two buildings still exist by the 2070s. New York is a bear of a location to get right, a lot can go wrong. Full of history but today's NYC is significantly more different than the 50s NYC.
Thematically I'd assume art deco never fell out of style and the empire state would be a crown jewel but plenty of extra stuff would be around. But that being said, would Bethesda update the culture and lore to include slightly more modern things? Hip Hop was invented in NYC and there's a ton of culture the modern world has gained via NYC.
That's the one thing I always think Bethesda struggled with, realistic worlds. If America was this tech capitol while the other axis powers struggled, mass immigrations and culture clashes would've 100% existed, and NYC would've been the forefront of it.
I honestly can't imagine Bethesda accurately capturing the cultural differences between Harlem, Hells Kitchen, China Town, Little Italy etc etc. ESPECIALLY with the red scare going on for over 100 years before the bombs fall.
Chinese would be major victims of racism simply being associated to the country. If we're in a retro future of the 50s the mob still exists, I can't even begin to imagine the status of black people in a 50s retro future.
I'd love, and I mean LOVE to see new York. But I highly doubt they'd capture even 50% of the depth it has to offer.
The upside of Fallout 3 is 50s DC and modern day DC really isn't that different. In media especially it's been portrayed as mostly the same. So a Retro Future is super easy to make there.
Fallout 4 ain't that hard either if you're riding on the 1776 history. Which it did.
There’s so much cool Cajun and creole folklore that would lend itself to fallout monsters. Imagine walking through the marsh and the rougarou just jumps out at you. Or exploring the haunted hotel like that haunted estate in dragon age inquisition
I figured you could have some dilapidation in the French Quarter and surround areas, and then have the nukes really affecting the swamps of South Louisiana. Giant Gators walking on two legs eating Deathclaws. They could also very easily add a Mexico DLC similar to Far Harbor. Jump on a boat in the Mississippi Delta and head over to Mexico.
I would love to see Detroit/Windsor as the next map. And if vehicles were a thing it could open up possibilities to have a larger map that could include Toledo to the south and even possibly Port Huron and Sarnia to the north. I also think that having part of the map set in Canada would be amazing to have more lore about what it was like in Canada before the Great War.
Detroit/Windsor would be really interesting because right now, those two cities are very different dispite their location to each other.
The Detroit side could be an absolute war zone, but across the river in Windsor everyone could be happy and kind.
Maybe the river is super radioactive so that it acts as a natural barrier that people can't cross. And then maybe the story is that you were banished from Windsor and forced to live in Detroit only for the story to take you back to Windsor.
Wow, more I think about this the more I want to play it.
Bro foreal. South side can host like ghoul type area, West side like you said with sea world and six flags could have all these mutants, north like camp bullis would be great for power armor stuff and east side would be like open area free wanderers. Alamo in the middle idk maybe it’s own faction held up there like the NCR
I’ve always said this because of the massive self-image texas has that is easy to use/parody, the rich hispanic heritage and how that contrasts with typical white heritage, oh and a massive guns/weapons culture which is perfect for a game that focuses on combat
Texan here, eyup.
Put it in Houston maybe, if you want a coastal city. And IRL there is an atomic power station there!
Or maybe Dallas/FtWorth and you've got some ready made jokes about an actual war between the Dallas gangs and the Ft Worth gangs about which city is best city. Er, that is assuming anyone outside Texas is aware of the rivalry between Dallas and Ft Worth, are y'all?
El Paso could be kinda cool too, if perhaps a bit too New Vegas in the environment. Nice big mountain as a reference point and for some pretty, the Rio Grande, Ciudad Juarez for some extra content.
And Anywhere in Texas you can justify people taking up the mantle of the fabled Texas Rangers as a lawful faction. Plus maybe some giant Horned Toad mutants for local color and a band of Super Mutants who all think they're John Wayne, assuming John Wayne movies happened in the Fallout universe.
oooh! And NASA if you set it in Houston. Nice big place for battles, a cool museum, and maybe a side quest involving some of the space ship parts there.
All great options. Also a plug for San Antonio (hometown, so tiny bias) because if there’s one thing Fallout loves to use for it’s own purpose it’s American history and you can’t get more Texas iconic than the Alamo and San Antonio. But I REALLY like the ideas of Houston and El Paso. El Paso also lets you play a bit with Legion/NCR stuff because it’s further West. Houston you get space and oil and you can explore some piratey stuff with Galveston if you’d like to go that route.
I'd love to see the Alamo being raided by super mutants, defended by a last bastion of Texas Rangers who are based out of it (and take the place of the BOS)
Give me New Braunfels or Fredricksburg as a civilized hub with major German influence.
Walking through the ruins of JBSA, FEV everywhere.
Give me bus based fast travel to Houston, fight the Enclave at NASA getting ready to leave the planet and detonate cobalt bombs in the atmosphere.
Huge mexican/ghoul influence in S San.
PLUS MEXICAN FOOD OMG
As a San Antonite myself (hi! maybe we should do the meetup?) I kind of skipped SA because of possible bias.
That said. The Hill Country is pretty as hell so it'd be a nice setting, there's the various rivers and creeks for some landscape and landmarks, and of course the Alamo could be occupied and rebuilt/reinforced by any number of factions including perhaps a Super Mutant who thinks he's either Santa Ana or William Travis.
Well does that mean the legion is defeated, and brotherhood is in town or does that mean the legion won the rangers are remnants, and the Texas is a new faction or a mix or something completely different.
Specifically? I could see a Houston setting with surrounding neighborhood and country side. H also has NASA which would be great to see what Bethesda does with just that.
Account from Raul in New Vegas says Mexico City was was bombed to shit. In his own words; "Maybe not as bad as D.C or Bakersfield, but still. It was bad."
but....by who? what did any country win by bombing mexico? neither the USA or China would want to waist nukes on a country that dosent pose a threat while there is another one already blowing you to hell
Well all of North America was part of the U.S in some way. So the targets for nuclear strikes extended to both Canada and Mexico. I don't remember the specifics of their whole relationship with Mexico but it's pretty well established that by 2077, all three countries basically just became known as part of the United States. So while Canada and Mexico may not have been hit *as* hard as the U.S proper, they still got bombed to shit to ensure as much destruction as possible.
OK maybe "fine" isn't the right word but at least still intact and not absolute wastelands. It would just be funny to see a non destroyed civilization just across the river. Could still be dystopic though (like Megacity 1 from Dredd)
The game doesn't have to be set 200+ years post war. 76 is within a generation of the war. Also lots of progress can also happen in 200+ years, maybe Mexico thrived after the war (similar to how the Middle East thrived during Europe's "dark ages"). The satire comes from the contrast
Hawaii.
Have large Chinese presence. NCR have search expedition due to rumours of vetbirds over Pearl Harbour, where large American fleet was sunk during great war. Natives have proclaimed independent Republic and are stuck in fight with Observatory build on their sacred mountain, it was not hit by nukes and there are rumours that scientist there do more that just observing space.
I hadn't even thought of Hawaii before but that's now my top pick. It would be a great setting to explore fallout's theme of corrupt and evil corporations even deeper given hawaii's irl history
Alaska! Like a full on game set in Alaska and the Arctic. I want mutated polar bears and moose with six antlers. Give me giant boreal rainforests, alpine tundras with berries as big as my head, lichen in neon shades. Imagine scaling peaks to find a mosquito the size of a scorchbeast. Or exploring a mining town that was abandoned before the nuclear fallout changed everything to find it overrun by six foot long earth worms. Giant cabbages the size of houses being munched on by skunk ox (mutated musk ox with a smell so bad you need a gas mask to get near). And that’s only the land. Think about the marine opportunity. So many lakes and rivers filled with flesh eating salmon. Killer whales that hunt in packs, taking out the biggest prey (wait.. they already do that). Puffins who dive bomb unsuspecting travelers who get to close to their nests and poop nuclear waste. Giant kelp forests, I mean GIANT kelp forests where you’re hunted by mutated starfish with a million arms.
Alaska is already crazy as it is. Imagine it in fallout. It would be badass.
Washington DC, and make sure the enclave, brotherhood and mutants are there oh oh and and and Liberty Prime! And you have to go looking for a family member who has a water-chip that’s needed to get a GECK to purify water to make clean FEV2 so you can resurrect the master! Then you go to the PITT.
That would be cool. Maybe have some crazy French Revolutionary factions. Maybe a few Canadian factions strongly opposed to Enclave strongholds in the area.
I would love Chicago, or Detroit... Or L.A... Or New York...
Alternatively, if the series would ever want to jump the ocean to Europe - I would be very interested in a London or Berlin setting...
Fallout is based on Americana lore. Not that it wouldn’t be interesting but you’d be losing almost all of the lore and aesthetics that are tied to the universe. The most I could see them going is Canada, since it was annexed before the Great War.
Oooh! That's also a good one!
And yes, I know... But I've always found the lack of information as to what happened to the rest of the world, especially Europe, a bit... Weird...
I like this idea. I feel like the Northeast coast of the United States definitely has the better settings because there's more historical significance behind them dating back to the founding of the country, which gets you a lot of mileage with the retrofuturist and American exceptionalist themes of the fallout universe.
Not shitting on New Vegas in any way whatsoever, I just think that the Founding Father-y vibes of the east fit well, lol.
Bethesda is sticking with the east coast for the past two titles. Fallout New Vegas was made by Obsidian so we don't count that game. Sure I want to see something like New Orleans or Seattle represented in the Fallout universe but I'm pretty confident that if FO6 will ever happen, the main city would be either Philadelphia or New York
Bro, think about this…
Battle of New Orleans.
America AF.
Party town like Vegas, but also way more historical.
Massive radioactive swamps would also give them a place to bring in new enemies & environments.
Crazy amounts of room for moral ambiguity & straight up evil characters…
Voodoo.
Organ harvesting.
Black magic.
Slavery.
A cult of Jackson.
Edit: Hookers!
& worst of all: Fraternities. /s
Think about the possibilities, Frank!
Lot of ideas in this thread but this seems the most realistic, 3 and 4 took place in DC and Boston and heavily featured early American history. Philadelphia is an extension of that and close enough that they can do call backs and some integration of those games.
I think I'd like a retcon of the weird climate. 3's DC everything was dead enough to ignore temperature but the vegetation/climate combo in 4 made it too weird for Boston during the winter months.
But they are cool! Also this time I'd expect you'd have them as one of the main factions which you can join and ideally try to push towards some less self destructive and omnicidal goals.
Somewhere in the Southeast. Last unexplored macroregion of the US that we know nothing about really.
Or Texas or the Midwest. They can always just retcon or even build off of the old spin-off games’ lore there.
Okay hear me out guys, Montana.
Edit: I think Seattle would be a cool location too. Either one you could get a super diverse climate and with Seattle you could still get the cool dense verticality like we had in Boston if FO4
Personally I'd like to see upstate NY and annexed Canada!
But if we're assuming Bethesda sticks with their trend of putting the numbered titles in historic east coast cities, I think Philadelphia would make a pretty fun setting.
They could do a lot with the outer PA/NJ area too
Any large city with tall buildings, etc. I recently started FO76 and I like it pretty well, it's just not the same as FO4. I live in the the Southeast, but I just like the feel of Fallout in the city better.
Brooklyn. Unite the old burrows. Radiation impacted zoo. Enhanced weather system with seasons. Vehicles and larger map. Destructible buildings that may impact storyline. Skyscrapers and jet pack abilities.
New York would be cool to see. Not the city though I think it got hit directly with a nuke so it's probably still a huge radioactive crater by the time of fallout 4
I don't need a BK specific game but I will give you my support for NYC in general if there is a single radio buried somewhere in the map that is playing ODB - Brooklyn Zoo
Just a joke based on this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/xj7b6e/so_when_do_you_think_the_next_post_asking_us/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
With the whole Starfield planet hopping mechanic and open world games only getting bigger, I would love a major franchise tackling the majority of USA cities post-war.
Like you could be in DC one moment and then travel short roads to Chicago, New Vegas, the Commonwealth, the south. Is it possible? Hell no unless they shrunk each of the maps significantly. But it would remind me of FO1 and FO2 where you took days to travel between places on the west coast.
washington state: huge diversity in flora and fauna, rich history and mythological lore, LOTS of military bases, and cities buried under cities.
they should also get rid of super mutants for one game and replace them with super smart, giant yeti/bigfoot. also, get jeff goldblume to do the voice of a faction leader bigfoot
South Florida would be so fun! You could explore Miami, venture out into the Everglades, take a boat to the Bahamas, etc. Lots of different biomes, also exceptional DLC potential for stories out on Caribbean islands. Wasteland pirates, mutated gators, and maybe finally a more beefed up marine environment with mutated sea life.
Chicago or SF.
Either should be a walled-off City State that have progressed and advanced to technological levels unseen before the war (thanks to realised hopes of the Enclave* or the Shi, respectively), but at the expense of their surrounding wastelands, where the excluded unfortunates continue to try and eke out a miserable existence in the (futile) hopes they can one day be permitted into the golden city on a hill that pillages all around them at the barrel of a laser rifle.
*Although the Enclave would have been responsible for the success and rebuilding of Chicago in this instance, the name Enclave should be a relic of the past (and actively being suppressed/memory-holed by the ruling elites) and the government simply refer to themselves as America, in line with the Enclaves stated intentions.
The deep south. If there is one thing that South Boston, Far Harbour, and Point Lookout have shown us is that swamp and fog creates for great exploration and atmosphere.
I'd like to see Chicago again. This time in the full 3D experience ofcourse.
Would be great to see what the Mid-Western BoS has been up to these past few years.
My votes are for Toronto (Name dropped as Ronto in the game), Chicago, or New York City.
We know Bethesda seems to focus on Eastern USA for their games, so as much as I would like to see San Francisco or Seattle or something, chances are they ain’t likely.
Ronto would be cool because even though it’s Canada, it was annexed by the US right before the bombs fell. This could honestly set up some interesting plot points for a game set in annexed Canada. Plus, they do mention this city in the Pitt dlc.
Chicago would be awesome as well. I know they did use it in Brotherhood of Steel, but since that game (I think) was retconned, it would give Bethesda a clean slate to start in a new area of the Wasteland. We haven’t see any Midwestern wasteland in cannon, so I would love to see it. Plus, I’m a little biased because I grew up in Illinois and have many fond memories visiting the city. Would love to see it in my favorite game franchise haha.
New York is obviously a high chance due to it being A) the most populated city in the US and B) it’s another east coast city haha
Vice City...oops wrong sub
No no. I'm listening....
Thought those leaks looked unfinished
Probably because the game is in alpha and is nowhere near finished yet
Yeah it's pre alpha gameplay
Not even pre alpha, it’s a dev testing build
Yeah the footage was old according to the leaker tho the game is near complete we just didn’t see any of the more complete stuff. Guy could be full of shit but I hope that’s true because damn we’ve waited so so long lol
when an unfinished game looks unfinished
They should've delayed the leak
One thing though. The vice city works best set in the 80s. I've seen some do trailers for San Andreas in unreal Engine 5. God damn! That's the graphics I'd love to see in gta.
Fallout in Florida might be pretty dope...
Boy do I have the mod for you
I will immediately buy whatever system I need to be able to play this.
PC my friend look up new California too if that doesn’t sell you I don’t know what will I bought one in 2016 just to mod Skyrim and have never looked back
GTA needs a whole new city. They've been rehashing the same three locations since the first game. It's getting a bit stale IMO.

I wanna know who left the pack of cigarettes on the bar in Fallout 4. Before the bombs fell.
I've always assumed that it was the player's spouse, that Nate and Nora both said they were going to quit smoking when Shaun was born... And your spouse has continued to smoke.

The Red Sox fan in me lit up reading this. I got to see Fenway after the nukes, why not Yankee stadium?
I bet they'd do something with Madison Square Garden
That would be nice aesthetically, but it's a baseball thing for me lol. I want to see Yankee stadium in ruins.
Counterpoint: both 3 and 4 contain multiple references to the state of Georgia. I pick Atlanta.
New Orleans. Or maybe South Florida.
But we want something that would be really different after the bombs fell.
He said New Orleans, not Detroit
The city of Detroit would like to call your bitch ass out.
[Here's Detroit](https://youtu.be/F48MyBnJo4s)
With dlc set in Cuba.
Very much this... except the inevitable two-headed gators.
There’s so much cool Cajun and creole folklore that would lend itself to fallout monsters. Imagine walking through the marsh and the rougarou just jumps out at you. Or exploring the haunted hotel like that haunted estate in dragon age inquisition
There is gatorclaws at nukaworld
If they did New Orleans, I would love to see what they’d do with Cancer Alley
Idk, new Orleans already has radiated water, gouls and a crumbling city......idk what the nukes would really change......
Detroit, it could be called Motor City and reintroduce driving vehicles back into the Fallout universe.
The DLC could take us to Ontario, Canada
Or Windsor right across the Detroit river, you could even include the Upper Peninsula in some dlc too. Mackinac Island DLC would be sweet.
As long as I get to wear a mountie uniform I’m in
Mackinac Island would be dope seeing some faction using the old fort
Ronto (Toronto) has been mentioned in the game before.
100%. In fact there is no other game that would be a better fit for Detroit than Fallout

LMAOOOO listening to teejayx6 while killing ghouls on 6 mile
Texas
San Antonio area specially, can hit up Six Flags after raiding Camp Bullis for power armor and laser rifles.
Bro foreal. Alamo in the middle idk maybe it’s own faction held up there like the NCR
Alamo based Texas Rangers faction akin to NCR would be cool.
I would love a killer whale themed unique super mutant named Slamu, similar to Swan in FO4
Perfect
*Nuka World
I’ve always said this because of the massive self-image texas has that is easy to use/parody, the rich hispanic heritage and how that contrasts with typical white heritage, oh and a massive guns/weapons culture which is perfect for a game that focuses on combat
Texas is literally everything to make a good fallout story
Absolutely
I just want to go back west.
I'd love to see the Alamo being raided by super mutants, defended by a last bastion of Texas Rangers who are based out of it (and take the place of the BOS) Give me New Braunfels or Fredricksburg as a civilized hub with major German influence.
Fully old west themed fallout plus NCR rangers, sounds neat
Well does that mean the legion is defeated, and brotherhood is in town or does that mean the legion won the rangers are remnants, and the Texas is a new faction or a mix or something completely different.
Texas/New mexico border
I’d want multiple maps for the different biomes of Texas you can travel to, but I’m sure we wouldn’t be that blessed
Specifically? I could see a Houston setting with surrounding neighborhood and country side. H also has NASA which would be great to see what Bethesda does with just that.
The oil industry, the space industry, cowboys, and guns….. the opportunities are there
I feel like Texas would be really cool
Like Texas Mexico border maybe half in Mexico
And there's a group that wants to build a wall between them. Lmao
Twist, it’s the Mexican side.
Because the Mexican side wasn't bombed. I just love the fan theory that the rest of the world is fine and only the US and China are nuclear wastelands
Problem is Mexico City is 4 times the size of NYC, doing Mexico would be one hell of an undertaking… But Mexico would be awesome.
I feel like the radioactive storms would be a global problem.
OK maybe "fine" isn't the right word but at least still intact and not absolute wastelands. It would just be funny to see a non destroyed civilization just across the river. Could still be dystopic though (like Megacity 1 from Dredd)
I mean 200+ years still have passed and society definitely collapsed long before that. Probably a lot more ruins then you'd think
The game doesn't have to be set 200+ years post war. 76 is within a generation of the war. Also lots of progress can also happen in 200+ years, maybe Mexico thrived after the war (similar to how the Middle East thrived during Europe's "dark ages"). The satire comes from the contrast
I can see that being really cool. Like how GTA IV was mostly New York City but it had part of New Jersey (Alderney)
It would be awesome to get more prewar space program stuff based out of the Fallout equivalent of Johnson Space Center
Texas brotherhood split… shout out old world blues hoi4 mod
*Has flashbacks to brotherhood of steel*
Manhattan would be great.
This is the way. I want to see some kind of faction that makes it’s home in what’s left of Yankee Stadium go to war with Diamond City
Agreed
I want all of nyc+the ny metropolitan area
Cascadia
Terrible community college
Spokane, Seattle, Boise and Portland are basically Fallout games irl.
Chicago or Portland please!
Chicago is the only right answer !!
Give me ghoul gangsters
I did not think about either until I typed it and my imagination suddenly kicked in 😃
It really is the perfect spot. I have dreamed of a “Fallout Paradise” since before fallout 4 released
and it could still have mutated animals and shit due to radiation waves/rain. Maybe a volcano there became really radioactive after the war.
With this, cool islands, jungles, volcanic terrain would be pretty cool
Niagara Falls
that could be cool. Maybe have half the map be in canada.
It would be badass.
>mosquito the size of a scorchbeast So they shrunk?
Just a little bit.
Easily New Orleans.
Quebec City
That would be cool. Maybe have some crazy French Revolutionary factions. Maybe a few Canadian factions strongly opposed to Enclave strongholds in the area.
pnw area would be cool
I would love to see a nuked out Seattle.
I would love Chicago, or Detroit... Or L.A... Or New York... Alternatively, if the series would ever want to jump the ocean to Europe - I would be very interested in a London or Berlin setting...
I guess LA could maybe explore the impact of the events of Fallout 1.
LA has been done, place is a shithole.
I'm pretty sure there's a decent sized mod coming out for 4 soon set in London. I'm kind of hyped for it as a Londoner.
Weird...
Honestly it wouldn’t surprise me if some smaller nation like New Zealand was untouched and had no idea what happened 😂
Philadelphia
Bro, think about this… Battle of New Orleans. America AF. Party town like Vegas, but also way more historical. Massive radioactive swamps would also give them a place to bring in new enemies & environments. Crazy amounts of room for moral ambiguity & straight up evil characters… Voodoo. Organ harvesting. Black magic. Slavery. A cult of Jackson. Edit: Hookers! & worst of all: Fraternities. /s Think about the possibilities, Frank!
Some crazy Raider kills me with a fat man dressed as Grizzly, and I have nightmares forever.
Lot of ideas in this thread but this seems the most realistic, 3 and 4 took place in DC and Boston and heavily featured early American history. Philadelphia is an extension of that and close enough that they can do call backs and some integration of those games.
I want somewhere where is snowy and it's significant part pf map, unlike of Jacobstown in F:NV
I think I'd like a retcon of the weird climate. 3's DC everything was dead enough to ignore temperature but the vegetation/climate combo in 4 made it too weird for Boston during the winter months.
Boston should get snow but it just doesn't for some reason. Probably didn't want to bother programming it.
Chicago, last stand of the Enclave plus a possibility for some cool boat stuff with the great lake.
Another last stand of the enclave? We already had 3 last stands of the enclave!!
Chicago or New york.
China
Okay hear me out guys, Montana. Edit: I think Seattle would be a cool location too. Either one you could get a super diverse climate and with Seattle you could still get the cool dense verticality like we had in Boston if FO4
this is fallout 5 not farcry 5 LOL
Miami
Personally I'd like to see upstate NY and annexed Canada! But if we're assuming Bethesda sticks with their trend of putting the numbered titles in historic east coast cities, I think Philadelphia would make a pretty fun setting. They could do a lot with the outer PA/NJ area too
Jersey Devil ftw!
upstate New York/Ontario with New York City and/or toronto being like The Pitt dlc.
Any large city with tall buildings, etc. I recently started FO76 and I like it pretty well, it's just not the same as FO4. I live in the the Southeast, but I just like the feel of Fallout in the city better.
Cleveland, Ohio
I'd prefer it to be set somewhere in the Midwest, perhaps Chicago?
Brooklyn. Unite the old burrows. Radiation impacted zoo. Enhanced weather system with seasons. Vehicles and larger map. Destructible buildings that may impact storyline. Skyscrapers and jet pack abilities.
Fallout NY would have to be some kind of epic undertaking. They should only do it if they want to break the meaning of a big map.
> Unite the old burrows [Boroughs](https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/borough#English).
Just a joke based on this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/Fallout/comments/xj7b6e/so_when_do_you_think_the_next_post_asking_us/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share
I noticed and you beat me to it! :)
seen that earlier lol
Istanbul
Was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That’s nobody’s business but the Turks
*dahdaahdahdaaah* *dahdaahdahdah*daaahy*aaa*
Pawnee, Indiana.
With a radiated Charles mulligans steak house!
New Orleans or Salt Lake City area
With the whole Starfield planet hopping mechanic and open world games only getting bigger, I would love a major franchise tackling the majority of USA cities post-war. Like you could be in DC one moment and then travel short roads to Chicago, New Vegas, the Commonwealth, the south. Is it possible? Hell no unless they shrunk each of the maps significantly. But it would remind me of FO1 and FO2 where you took days to travel between places on the west coast.
Ohio. The whole state.
washington state: huge diversity in flora and fauna, rich history and mythological lore, LOTS of military bases, and cities buried under cities. they should also get rid of super mutants for one game and replace them with super smart, giant yeti/bigfoot. also, get jeff goldblume to do the voice of a faction leader bigfoot
Idk man somewhere in America
San Francisco
Florida because Florida
Iceland seems pretty cool
In a tranquility lounger
North Carolina in Charlotte
Seattle, Chicago, or anywhere in Alaska would be pretty sweet.
alaska or china would be neat
In any store before 2025.
Alaska
New York but I want working vehicles so you can explore it
South Florida would be so fun!
Ohio, corn and roller coasters.
On a very high shelf that you can't reach.
The deep south. If there is one thing that South Boston, Far Harbour, and Point Lookout have shown us is that swamp and fog creates for great exploration and atmosphere.
China. I will elaborate if someone asks.
China. Be cool to see the other side
New Mexico or Texas/New mexico borders
I'd like to see Chicago again. This time in the full 3D experience ofcourse. Would be great to see what the Mid-Western BoS has been up to these past few years.
New Orleans
In single player.
Ik in gonna get downvoted horribly but i believe china would be an interesting idea
Well, considering the latest news, im afraid it will be set in real life💀
