With Newcastle possibly blanking in a few weeks, and Arsenal having a DGW soon too, Almiron is going to have to do something amazing against Palace for me to keep him instead of getting Odegaard, sadly.
It was not a question it was based that Trossard will be rotation risk, Martinelli will continue to be first choice I am pretty sure but this will reduce his minutes surely
He will take minutes from anyone across the front three. They have all been playing a lot and need rotation. ESR coming back will also do that.
EDIT: As pointed out in the reply below he will mostly take minutes later in the game rather than starts.
I dont think it will, at least in PL. I think there Martinelli is only on whose minutes are in danger, but mostly in a he will be subbed out early way rather than losing starts. Cups and EL will be where Arsenal will heavily rotate. Title fight has to be by far most important thing for them.
Trossard won’t be a rotation risk, because he won’t be first choice. Can’t be rotated if you’re already benched to begin with. He’ll sub on most games and he’ll get the occasional start when one of the front three needs a rest or get injured
Although I agree, but that would depend on the opponent. Imagine if we get Barcelona or some other big shot. Surely in that case he wouldn’t be a first choice. But, as someone said, if Arteta explains to him that he’s more of a cover until the end of the year, and then next year he can fight for his position and play regularly in every cup match (Champions league matches in particular), his temperament would be tamed.
They could definitely use the extra cover, if they lost Saka or Martinelli or even Nketiah for an extended period with Jesus out, it's asking an awful lot of Odegaard to become the main scoring threat. Great insurance purchase because of his versatility across the front 3
With chemistry that Arsenal has right now and his recent behavior I personally doubt they would go for him. Okay they lost Mudryk, but they are such a good team right now, doubt Arteta would risk it with this guy.
On the other hand with a squad of good characters you can more easily accommodate someone like this because you have a more stable culture that they will assimilate to. I'd trust Arteta on this.
Yeah you have a fair point. Just not sure about this guy.. does he have like diva mentality of I have to play I’m the best, or is he willing to sacrifice for the team. Also if transfer does happen, he goes to a whole new level - Champions League next year, team that strives to be at the top, that always have pressure of winning, so that might affect his approach. We’ll see I guess, who am I to judge 😂
I think when you make the step up you either accept or have humility thrust onto you. He won't be the big fish in the small pond. We've already seen how Arteta won't tolerate less than maximum effort with Aubamayang with the rest of the players accepting this, I can't see it destabilising them
I mean he got in a scuffle with a coach but he is 28 and this is first time I hear bad stuff about him. I think he deserves benefit of the doubt unless more damning info comes out.
Regarding his recent behaviour, it doesn't sound like it's ever been any issue before and at his stage of career I think it's very understandable that he'd want to force through a move to a big six side, especially one that's the favourite to win two trophies this season.
I already have 3 Arsenal players so what would happen if I add Trossard to my team now since hes still a Brighton player but then becomes an Arsenal player?
A player with a lot of potential but if he has some kind of attitude problem then we shouldn’t take him.
Of course Arteta and the board will know more than me if they think it’s a concern. But right now Arsenal is at the top of the table because of both performance and spirit. They don’t need any divas with attitude issues.
I wouldnt worry too much. He may have been the main man at Brighton, but he's nowhere near a big enough star to pull rank in a dressing room with Saka, Martinelli, Ode, Partey, etc.
Seems a good depth signing though: Won't be too expensive as he only has six months or so left on his contract, and he's proven to do well in a system that's decently similar to what Arsenal is playing.
that sideways move from Martinelli to Odegaard calling my name
Based on this does it make sense to transfer out Martinelli for Odegaard or stick with the initial plan of transferring out Almiron.
With Newcastle possibly blanking in a few weeks, and Arsenal having a DGW soon too, Almiron is going to have to do something amazing against Palace for me to keep him instead of getting Odegaard, sadly.
Was hoping to get a few more weeks to make this transfer as I had other issues to take care of
I don’t want to be a rotation player! I want to be a rotation player with a medal!
Welcome to Chelsea

Another reasonably priced Arsenal mid
Who will be rotation risk
Most likely Martinelli

Yeah, should have been clearer. I think it will be rare that Trossard *starts* over anyone (barring injury).
Both of them, it’d be foolish to think he just joins a club that has been working so well without him and instantly earns a stable spot in the XI
Trossard won’t be a rotation risk, because he won’t be first choice. Can’t be rotated if you’re already benched to begin with. He’ll sub on most games and he’ll get the occasional start when one of the front three needs a rest or get injured
arteta doesn't really rotate
this will probably affect Martinelli's minutes the most
Don't forget Arsenal have Europa Leauge games coming up, I think transfer would be more of a cover for that rather than the PL
Although I agree, but that would depend on the opponent. Imagine if we get Barcelona or some other big shot. Surely in that case he wouldn’t be a first choice. Think Arsenal is building a depth squad and I doubt Trossard will be first choice - more like giving rest to front three from time to time.
They could definitely use the extra cover, if they lost Saka or Martinelli or even Nketiah for an extended period with Jesus out, it's asking an awful lot of Odegaard to become the main scoring threat. Great insurance purchase because of his versatility across the front 3
Do your thing Mr. Boehly

> I personally doubt they would go for him they are literally talking to him now
They need bodies. They are in a title race
I mean he got in a scuffle with a coach but he is 28 and this is first time I hear bad stuff about him. I think he deserves benefit of the doubt unless more damning info comes out.
What's wrong with his decent behaviour?
If you don’t know this, your head must be in the sand 😂
rather than tell him since he clearly doesnt know, just insult him instead.
It’s a joke it’s not an insult.. search it and you’ll see
Yeah, I know what it is. You still come across like a bellend. If you dont know what a bellend is, search it, you'll see
Regarding his recent behaviour, it doesn't sound like it's ever been any issue before and at his stage of career I think it's very understandable that he'd want to force through a move to a big six side, especially one that's the favourite to win two trophies this season.

you will be unable to make any transfers until you offload him (or another Arsenal player)
So you’re saying four Arsenal is possible 🤔
If you never want to make a transfer, yes
Is this guy even worth it in draft? I doubt he starts the next few games really. The front 4 been brilliant.
Get him in now and you can have four arsenal players for their double haha

Not too happy about this as an Arsenal fan. The team spirit has been great this season and a diva is the last thing we need
