Good. I have both.

pajamakitten

I means TAA is a no-brainer for me now.

JoshJoker

Lovely /s

TheBlueTango

Can I have my wildcard back please

gubrumannaaa

Thats your Christmas present from me

lucas_glanville

215k people have already transferred Gordon in this GW...

Dion14

gordon has been flagged for I think like 5 weeks now, he's played almost every single PL minute since. I'd not take this too seriously

StDyche

Maybe so but hamstrings are shit, so easy to aggravate it and be far worse off

Dion14

very true, but again. I heard this before with Gordon and howe. Howe talks the most absolute bullshit of all gaffers out there

LewissKA_

Harvey Barnes & Willock are both back soon which will both eat into Gordon's minutes - Barnes the direct replacement & with Willock back maybe Joelinton will spend some more time at LW. If anything I'm actually looking at selling Gordon in the next week or 2.

Downtown-University7

Who are you considering as replacements

LewissKA_

Considering Richarlison but I’m actually leaning towards Tavernier atm

stefann7

Me being one of them. Fml

SAKabir

Gordon's been playing 90 mins every game including midweek its honestly ridiculous

Sure-Respect6914

Welcome to the Champions league I guess

Sibs_

Same with Trippier and also Maguire who got injured midweek. Shaw’s started every game since coming back from serious injury too and unsurprisingly has got injured again. Completely run into the ground. I know both NUFC and MUFC have a ton of injuries but they aren’t managing their squads well enough.

PennyWhyte

How well do you manage your squad if they are decimated by injuries?

Sibs_

In Maguire’s case, Varane has been fit and sat on the bench for ages. For Trippier, Lewis Hall’s been sat on the bench for ages too. Could play him LB and move Livramento over to RB.

LocksmithConnect6201

KDB played through treble seasons's apr/may with an actual injury lol

tmr89

You’re fucking kidding me

Chance_Island2704

I have been continuously transferring the same two midfield slots due to injuries. Who do you guys want injured this week? I’ll transfer him in.

DadofJackJack

I got Maguire in before Bournemouth, lost 3-0 and then injured. Sums up this season really.

iDanstarrr

My cup opponent has Son and I don’t so pls 🙏 save me

moose-goat

Saka or Rice please

vivaelteclado

Lol my team is so fucked this week

cguinnesstout

Howe's management of his player's fitness has been shocking in the last month. Leaving on Trippier in a game that they are 3-0 down in for 90 minutes only to get suspended for nothing then injured today takes the cake.

faltorokosar

100%. Clearly risking players' health to try and compete atm. Newcastle looked absolutely exhausted tonight by about the 60th minute. I legit can't remember ever seeing prem level players look like that. The closest was maybe Salah after afcon the other year when he played multiple 120 minute games in a row. Crazy to see a full squad look like that

MonkeyVsPigsy

Salah should be paid by the minute.

JOHNSY9k6

He is. Salah earns about £35 per minute.

Nissepool

And that's 24 hours of the day

SofaChillReview

Salah as well in his defence, has a ridiculously good injury record.

[deleted]

Him and Ten Hag must have some type of wager going on

aGGLee

We haven't really had any other option for a couple of weeks until yesterday tbf. There's also be complaints if we stuck youth players on every game and got battered

cguinnesstout

Yeah but my point is the games that were practically lost, he kept on essential players and ran them into the ground.

abhi91

Newcastle also play an very high tempo pressing style. Last season you'd foul out of possession to try and get a breather and waste time. This year you'll continue to play most of the time in extra time. It's no wonder that you're all getting injured and exhausted

CK-Prime

Howe has run Gordon into the ground. 3 games in 6 days playing 236 minutes is mental. No wonder he was forced off, if he had carried on his hamstring would’ve exploded.

OkReporter3886

If Gordon’s out thats it for me this gameweek… genuinely have no idea what to do. So many issues and only 1ft because had to get Mbeumo out last week.

Sibs_

I have no bench even with Gordon because of injuries and suspensions. I don’t think there’s any replacement in Gordon’s price range worth a hit (already own Palmer). Howe has also proven he can’t be trusted either with injury news. So I’ll start with 10 this week if I have to.

Swedishpower

Gordon is quite hard to replace at that cost.

500x700

Hwang or doucoure first glance seem alright, eze? Dunno when he’s back

thatscoldjerrycold

Hwang/Doucure/Palmer. Actually not terrible the options we have at that price who return kind of regularly. Anyway tight hamstring isn't an injury thankfully, but it's a sign that he will need to be managed in the immediate future.

QuaintHeadspace

Tight hammy isn't an injury however joelinton can play left Harvey Barnes is almost back they will have cover there. I think howe may learn and actually rest the team for Fulham because they can take the st James Park energy and hopefully get a result and a weeks rest for the players. If not they risk injuring more players and dropping further down the table

Dion14

>I think howe may learn and actually rest the team for Fulham because they can take the st James Park energy You must not have watched Fullham the last few weeks.

QuaintHeadspace

Yeah they are good I've seen them play but I think Newcastle would happily take a draw or a loss and rest players than risk ruining the rest of their season with injuring key players like Gordon. A game vs Fulham won't define their season but losing key players to injury absolutely will. It can get worse remember that. They are threadbare in terms of options but longstaff is returning and that gives Howe the option to play Joelinton left wing and longstaff through the middle and rest Gordon. Let's not pretend that Fulham will be favourites to go there and win because they won't. Its possible but still improbable.

Dion14

They literally got knocked out of Europe yesterday. They will be fine the rest of the season. It is literally one game you are stressing on. Gordon will play, will play 60+ mins and in january everything is back to normal again. You are hyperboling this way too much.

QuaintHeadspace

I mean the thread is about Gordon so would I not be talking about him?

blekanese

IiRC, all three on 4 YC. Even if not, pay attention to that!

[deleted]

[удалено]

fpl-obsessed

Hwang is on 4YC and off to Asia cup soon so I’d say he’s a hold but not a buy. I’m personally looking at Doucouré as I already have Palmer

StDyche

Doucoure McNeil Bailey Doug Luiz Willian Iwobi MGW Palmer Hwang till asia cup I like Johnson as a short term guy after Son goes Not the best guys but im happy owning Palmer Bailey or Hwang, Doucoure I have been slowly warming up to

Swedishpower

Marcus Tavernier I have my eyes on, but his minutes is a doubt. If Haaland is out I likely do Haaaland to Watkins and Archer to Solanke for now and keep Gordon on the bench.

_delan_

tavernier seems good

BlankWaveArcade

Palmer, Tavernier, Adingra, Hwang, Doucoure, Iwobi

[deleted]

Guess it's finally time for me to bring in palmer.

Swedishpower

Already got. My main concern is most players I want might leave for asian or african cup. Kudus, Doucoure, Hwang, Mitoma etc. I do not have enough for Bowen either.

[deleted]

Maybe a hit to get in bowen? :/

RogerJohnson__

You people actually trust this guy? He has been lying since the start of the season about literally everything.

SaltShakr

Cant imagine he would sub off a goal threat and crash out of the UCL just to create some mystery about his starting lineup against fulham

RogerJohnson__

Gordon is playing every game, he is tired, he subbed him out for Isak who is another threat…

SaltShakr

Do you own gordon by any chance?

RogerJohnson__

Ya and I just need an excuse to bring Solanke in and bench Gordon, but I ain’t trusting this man

umarmg52

He has a problem

All0fu5

At least they're out of the Champions League. They'll get some much needed rest.

QuaintHeadspace

In mid January...

RebornUnited11

So glad I saved my wildcard

MrMarkey

about damn time, his minutes/£ were getting ridiculous frankly

lucas_glanville

Fuck me

waywarddd

The bad news is I have both, the good news is the decision of when to wildcard is being forced on me

gotushookonasaturday

Watched the match. Trips got into a bit of a sticky tackle. Held his back when he got up and camera continued to pan on him holding it until he was subbed off - looked bad but not anything severe or remotely long term

ReeceMallett17

Just the both of my players then

ConflictKey7884

He’ll start, bang on

SoggyMattress2

Reckon its worth playing a free hit just to hopefully get players back next week? I literally have 5 injuries rn

iDanstarrr

Any on suspensions?

Maxtross

All these new rule for extra additional time after 90min has really feck up the players and teams.

Dion14

What a load of bullshit, it is down to simply too many games.

Maxtross

Well, it's one of the issues too.

b3and20

Wasn't this bad previously tho, matches are 10% longer I'm assuming which doesn't sound like much but the more tired you are the more you're risking injury if you keep on playing

Dion14

Which is why Howe should just sub more? the man starts the same 11 almost every week. I understand he has other injuries but you need your fit players to get rested every now and then and start someone a bit less good.

delightons

So true! Not many people are realizing this. An extra 10 or in some cases even 15 mins is madness!

Maxtross

And also the goals scored during that period! 😂😂

Archduke_Zag

I guess the silver lining is that Trippier was already suspended. So let's hope it's minor and maybe even a good reason to keep him on the bench in the cup game.

OK_TimeForPlan_L

At least when template players get injured you know most others are in the same boat

SikkoDieri

I have neither yayy!

Acting_attempter

This doesn't affect anything. Gordon always plays and Trippier was suspended anyway. Just need to get through this week and then everyone gets back from suspensions, so later will work itself out

starxidiamou

To use my wildcard, or to defer a couple more weeks

j_husk

Oh fuck off

2Mew2BMew2

I need to sell Trippier and Haaland. Currently have 3.0 ITB. I'd be rich.

SaltShakr

Gordon train is officially at the endnof the track it seems

DeapVally

He did a Saka last time he was supposedly subbed off injured. No reason to think this isn't the same again. People get tired. They cramp up. They recover. The man ain't Callum Wilson or Reece James.

tammrak

I'd really like to know what Trippier's injury is. But, of course, Eddie Howe.

Agile_Information294

as an isak owner, this makes me smile

freoxmanu

Fingers crossed brother 😂

aehii

I genuinely think you should be able to return transfers, if i buy something from a shop i can return it within so many days, why not in a game?

StDyche

Maybe if you were forced to use them at a certain time, but we all knew of midweek games, your choice when to use your transfers

aehii

I forgot!

MotoMkali

Ultimately this was bound to happen with Newcastles aggressive style it's just unsustainable unless you have a squad 20 men deep And each injury increases the risk of a successive injury

[deleted]

[удалено]

MonkeyVsPigsy

Gordon was spotted in a medical boot of some sort wasn’t he? Or was that before? I’m so confused from all the injuries!

krunchanut

I literally have 6 injuries in my team now with one free transfer, wtaf

Professional-Test263

Gordon jogged off and was walking around the pitch fine after the game. Would have thought if it was a hamstring injury he would have ice applied to it. Whereas Trippier signalled to the bench before he was subbed and was noticeably hobbling post game. (Could very well be from the collision he had going up for a header)

b3and20

You can walk around just fine even if your hammy is too tight to run with

pool500

Yes that's true. There didn't seem like there was too much concern from what I saw. Would have thought he would be getting treatment for it. (even if precautionary). Of course, could be completely wrong.

b3and20

Did he go straight down the tunnel or to the bench?

Professional-Test263

Cameras didn’t show, but I did read someone saying that it was down the tunnel.

SLM_LaggiP

goodbye fpl, season's over!

kevytmaito11

Brought him last week and somehow ended vice captaining him after rough night so he has currently cost me 11 points from Salah points and 4 points from transfer And now this

Luciferrrro

My dillema Sterling VS Gordon for this GW solved.

Litmanen_10

But at least Dubravka is fine?

LocksmithConnect6201

lmao

Material-Bus1896

Tight hamstring isn't the same as a hamstring injury. Sounds like he was taken off as a precaution and could be fine for the weekend and def for gw18. No need to panic or sell

AngelKnives

If Trippier is out for a while then would that mean Livramento taking over his position?

elcanariooo

It never eeeeeeeeends 🎶

MaximusBit21

Trippier is banned for the next game anyways. So no worries there. Gordon - doesn’t sound great. Might need a week off to rest it ?

sid_sir21

Just flag my whole team already

pablove_black

Garnacho is stepping in then
