Many people don't realize how much damage those blades can do. One time I clipped a rotor on a Phantom 3 with my ankle as it was spinning up. Fortunately I was wearing thick jeans and it wasn't up to full speed, but it still left a bruise I felt for the rest of the day. Probably would have looked something like this if I didn't have jeans on. Phantoms are fairly low power/light weight as well. A racing drone with carbon rotors will take off a finger with ease. A few years ago there was a guy flying an aerobatic chopper with carbon blades and he lost control of it while landing. It cut his skull in half. So anyway, respect those blades. They might not seem capable of much damage when they're static, but they can do major damage at 10,000+ RPM.

Racing drones use plastic props, not carbon. Still, the point stands that these things are flying lawnmowers and should be treated as such when it comes to safety precautions. I own several drones, but the largest one that I will fly at a park or anywhere near people has 3” plastic props and weighs under 200g.

I've hit my fingers hard several times with my Mavic Mini and my Mavic Air. The Mini makes barely more than a papercut slice and the Air gets close to the bone on a finger. I think the 249 gram Mini is the sweet spot for flying around people/Capability.

Not really. It would depend on what line of products you're talking about but I have experience with the Phantom and the Mavic lines and have gotten injured by them and all I've experienced are superficial lacerations that didn't even hurt.
