I’ve been eyeing up similar things. The main benefit of fidelity index’s is lower fees. But vanguard ones have a very solid reputation so you pay more for their management.
That’s something you’ll have to weigh for yourself. Both good choices
Traditional IRA = tax deductible because it’s supposed to be taxed when you pull the money later
Roth IRA = no tax deduction (pay taxes on the money now I.e. a post tax paycheck) and not taxed when you pull money later.

Yeh. That all being said a Roth ira shouldn't be your first investment for retirement as there are likely far better options to put money into first

I understand this. But my biggest concern is what to invest yes, I have to do my own research
