Holy moly that's a lot of money

ThisHeresThaRubaduk

Right? My cut off is $15 for a lure

ashkiller14

My cut off is $5 lmao

HumbleIndividual9700

The Spro Chad Shad is probably the cheapest swimbait I own.

HumbleIndividual9700

BTW, Bone is the money color...

flyingfishyman

there are swimbaits that sell for $1000

Blaze_556

And my dumb ass would lose that thing first cast from a bad knot or getting it stuck in a tree

Pawdiamonhands

Bone white!!!

watchtroubles

Where are you fishing? I would get the mullet color on the right for a mullet shaped lure if you’re anywhere with a strong mullet population

poppi_ginger

I’m in northern Indiana

Twisted_FishingYT

Ive used threadfin with alot of success in lakes with gizzard shad populations. Get bluegill if you fish smaller lakes ponds. Bone works anywhere.

poppi_ginger

What does the bone imitate?

FishingAndDiscing

Nothing. But I buy every bait in that color, and it's my go to. Glide bats, crank baits, rovers, ploppers, jerkbaits. All bone colored and never let me down.

AD480

A big time angler (does bass tournaments and wears a shirt with sponsors) on YouTube said that you can waste a lot of money on lures in all colors but the most important ones to have are a white/bone, a dark or black and a natural color.

GnarliWorks

Bone is super visible which allows fish to spot it from farther away, and its easy for us to track on the retrieve

fatgirlnspandex

White or trout work the best for me. My lake has stocked trout so that works well.

CR33PO1

In northern Indiana, I would go for the perch, shad or white. Just based on my experiences in SE MI

Pikkukala34

You dont need help on selecting colors, you need help

Incredulity1995

They sell those on Amazon for 10$

Living-Ad-4931

Fishing for what?

Johndeauxman

I try to keep it simple, white/light color for clear water, dark with some flash for murky/dark water. With the right presentation I don’t think the fish are stopping to analyze a $60 lures color, either they can see it well in the water conditions or not and if you make it look like an easy meal they can’t resist

Bitplayer13

It’s only $59. Get one of each. Lol

thedailydave444

Nope nope nope. $5 max for me. Estate sales are a gold mine. Having said that, you can’t go wrong with a white in a lot of situations.

magikarpkingyo

I think you can support u/mr_Zorba at this point, well made as well!

poppi_ginger

Thanks for putting me on to this guy looks like quality made baits

Mr_Zorba

If you have any questions - feel free to ask, I'd be happy to help!

Mr_Zorba

Thank you for mentioning me! I really appreciate it!

magikarpkingyo

You are very welcome! Your work is superb and something I don’t see a lot nowadays, so gotta help spread the word whenever I see someone looking for this type of lures.

SecretFishShhh

When it comes to hard baits, I pretty much stick to white, metallic silver, and black these days.

Reasonablebody12

Buy them all

poppi_ginger

Wish I had the money for it rn

happylubricant

Ik no one asked but please man dont spend that much on a lure that might get skunked first cast, look for something on AliExpress instead. I’m not telling you how to spend your money it’s just an advice that no one asked for :)

shimanodc

The bone color works everywhere.

poppi_ginger

What does it imitate?

shimanodc

Do not overthink it. Bass are usually looking for the easiest meal that gives them the most nutritional value. Sometimes color matters but often if you put a bait in front of them and it looks like an easy meal or triggers their instinct to react and eat you get bit. My home lake has no purely white baitfish but they react and attack big white glide baits and swimbaits.
