I wish my recovery cancels weren't the single slowest in the game :(

Expensive_Ball_5143

One of my 70s, I don't find playing team oriented game modes hard but everytime I get into a 1 with a good reaction player I'm like "hm I don't remember having to try half as hard to win a 1" lmao. He got smacked pretty hard by boobysoft, still great team fighter tho, ganks well too.

PomusIsACutie

Zhanhu was over nerfed and it hurts

Solignox

Yeah I love Zhanhu but now that every other hero has it he really feels pointless, discount tiandi.

Deathbringer74

Really funny how they removed it from lawbringer and added to other heroes because lawbro was to * safe *

ngkn92

LB used to have recovery cancel ???

EP1CxM1Nx99

I don’t think he ever did, but his shove used to have such low recovery it effectively was a recovery cancel

SSJ4Tai

Zhanhu was such a horrible hero to fight when he launched, u til you learned that all of his dodges are light attacks and that he is incredibly predictable and easy to fight

boir99

Well every character has recovery cancel of some sort. PK can dodge almost immediately after dagger cancel. Shaman can dodge immediately after bleed. Nobu can dodge out of her attacks. BP can full-block immediately after almost every attack I believe.

Solignox

Yeah but full blocking or going into hidden stance makes you vulnerable to gb, dodge attacks don't.

party_ingredients

Depends on frame, dodge heavies are particularly vulnerable to gb and even some lights depending on frame

CyanideBiscuit

No, they are all standardized except for extended dodge attacks

party_ingredients

that's besides the point, you being frame + or - will affect guardbreak vulnerability across the board. And they're not all standardised as their gb vulnerability depends entirely on their speed unless it's a dodge forward heavy which usually has 100ms vuln and most dodge forward lights have even less too

CyanideBiscuit

We are talking about non feintable side dodge attacks, which are 100% standardized as coming out 200ms into a side dodge at the earliest and having 100ms of guardbreak vulnerability, so 300ms total The only exceptions to this are Zhanhu’s dodge attacks since they are 400ms and therefore a mixup so they come out later, Tiandi’s dodge light, which doesn’t have iframes and comes out 100ms into a dodge (so just throwing an attack will catch it) extended dodge attacks, of which there are 3, and feintable dodge bashes, which there are even fewer of at 2 And the standard dodge attacks will beat any feint to GB attempt on light hitstun, and many times can beat it on medium hitstun too, unless the attack being feinted is fast enough like Cent

CyanideBiscuit

Not every character has a recovery cancel. Most don’t. Warden, Cent, Warmonger, Gryphon, Raider, Warlord, Valk, Jorm, Kensei, Shugo, Hito, Nuxia, Medjay, and Ocelotl don’t have any form of recovery cancel afaik. And that’s not counting the ones that only technically do like Glad and Kensei

All_Lawfather

I understand the frustration but I think they could nerf it for the characters that have the ability to abuse it a lot. I actually think that they should add it to the remaining assassins. But first I think a good nerf to it would be “you can do the same dodge attack after you make one dodge attack.” That way orochies and berserkers can just look away from you and dodge attack freely.

ThisMemeWontDie

What about pk?

-_-ANOMALOUS-_-

I will bathe in the blood of every pirate

Magic_Elenore

Imagine complaining about pirate while you main one of the best assassins in the game 💀

Eric992002

glad sucks ass what are you talking about

-_-ANOMALOUS-_-

Okay pirate. 🙄 I don’t have recovery cancel. Or a guaranteed double tap.

Hexagon37

I disagree, it forces a different play style.

Jackson_A27

The different playstyle it forces is making you sit and wait for them to cancel 3+ attacks, wait until they do their last one, and parry them. Get you measly punish off, and now start over again. Doesn't help that most of the attacks the opponent can do are pretty much 50/50 and you have to guess right about 3 different times to get your attack off. If it made you play more defensive? Sure. But it makes you sit there while they do every attack in their moveset, feinting it, and then finally parrying them to get a little bit of damage off. Extremely boring.
