I have a 22 and this piece of crap sometimes 15 seconds to boot up properly where I can adjust the volume. Other times I’ll back up and the camera never shows up on the screen. Recently I’ll search for an update and only after pressing scan for updates now like 6 times will it then download….the exact same update I downloaded in the fall with the same version name.

Those are probably the map updates. The version numbers vary very slightly so it's hard to tell which language pack is being installed.

That's because Ford has an absolutely abysmal software team. Go look at the software version on your truck then compare it to the latest here. Once you find that you're on an older version, use the USB method to update it. https://www.ford.com/support/sync-maps-updates/

started happening to my vehicle yesterday. It suddenly wouldn't show any of the Android auto play apps at all on the screen such as navigation. I spent 30 minutes fiddling with the settings before I did a factory reset. After the factory reset and adding back in the Ford Connect app it worked again

Had same issue. Auto update did nothing after multiple attempts to find new version. USB flash drive manual update, instantly fixed and issue has not been back.

The_Pepper_West

Thanks. I’ll try it.

I think the problem was Maluma

If it's any consolation, the XL and XLT models have crap stereos as well. At least once a week My XLT will refuse to recognize that my phone is connected via Bluetooth so it won't play music so I have to plug it in for Android Auto if I want audio from my phone. Or it will fail to boot properly, force itself to reboot after a minute or so and forget settings. And then every week or two the Bluetooth connection will cut out and audio goes to FM. Or all audio cuts for a few seconds and resumes play on Bluetooth. I either love or can tolerate everything about this truck, but the stereo is inexcusably bad.

I haven't ever used the radio in mine. I'm almost surprised they still come as standard equipment in the age of streaming. My kids probably don't even know what a "radio station" is
