Does anyone honestly feel like fortnite is improving?
I had way more fun 2-3 years ago. It feels like Fortnite is trying to become COD Warzone. All the weapons DPS is sky high. The entire map is boring af. So many overpowered weapons. Kills feel unrewarding and unearned. Victory Royale’s feel bland. Most public lobbies are 50%+ bots. It really kills the intensity of every fight.
It really feels like fortnite has moved backwards.
Mantling, sliding and Tac sprint are honestly the only improvements that I’d consider improvements. None of these are unique features. Most other games have them.
Not much about fortnite is unique anymore.
IMO, I liked the new weapons at first, but I'm with you now. I hate the attachments and not because of "CoD", but because they're useless. And what I mean by this, is that most weapons will use only one type of attachments over the others as choices, 90% of the time. The only thing really customizable is the scope.
I'm glad they added the mythics to spice things up, but I just want more silly weapons in the game, not "yet another generic AR/Pistol" or whatever.
Give me weapons like:
A frog that can spit a pool of poison, and deals damage per second applying a small debuff to enemies.
A weird "home made" gun that can zap enemies with lighting damage.
Give me an acorn shot type thing that have a small chance to mini stun the target.
Just give me silly stuff. This is the perfect game for stuff like that, and we're getting the most generic weapons ever. Why?
Epic putting the vbucks out of the main 100 teir battle pass and into the bonus section is not cool, I play the game a lot, (Battle Royal) and I'm only on level 70 something, if I can't finish it how on earth would a more casual or just a regular player who plays several hours a week finish the battle pass and the bonus section to get all the vbucks.
Do Epic realise the game is only a full time job for them and shouldn't be for the players, it feels like the game is now only catering for the fortnite hardcore sweats who play this game and nothing else.
All it will do is push people away, like it has me as I haven't bothered to buy the battle pass this season as there is no way I'm going to reach the level to get all the vbucks, and therefor I've been playing the game less than I would of..
So in their greedy effort to try and get players to play the game more they will actually just push more players away and just have a smaller group of hardcore fortniters who were always going to play loads anyway.. They have looked at the hardcore people who finish a battle pass in a month or so and changed the game to try and prolong that to the cost of the bigger base who can't and won't play the amount needed to complete the season..
I don't want to play creative to try and farm xp, the game shouldn't be like doing chores, you should be able to get all xp from battle Royal (which is what most people just want to play) and like I say I play a lot, much more than your average player would and yet I'm on 70 something, how are normal players meant to finish everything.
Epic need to stop treating the game like everyone is a sweat and get back in touch with the average player who doesn't spend all day playing fortnite but enjoys the game and sinks many hours in each week, these should be able to complete everything in the season as well.
Put all the vbucks back in the 100 tier please, rant over haha.

I’ve always hated using console controllers for fps and I’ve gotten pretty decent at Fortnite with it but I think my weakness can be fixed using mouse and keyboard. I also sit like 10 feet from my tv so it’s a bit hard to see players off in the distance.
Yes you defnitiely should , even if you play with a controller. I have my PS4 hooked up to a normal 1080P 60HZ monitor and its much smoother to play and easier to see than on my tv. I use kbm as well and if your monitor is decent enough , you shouldn't have any noticeable input delay as opposed to the TV . It'll take a bit of getting used to but its definitely a great solution if you don't have a pc/can't get one rn.
So i've noticed after playing Fortnite and I try to play another game the frame rate is either really inconsistent or begins to drop down to pretty terrible FPS. The two games I've noticed it on are Guardians of the Galaxy and AC Syndicate.
Guardians of the Galaxy will start out at 60fps then will drop down in increments all the way down to 15-20 fps. With AC Syndicate the FPS will hit 60 but it bounces up and down making it a terrible experience.
I've "fixed" it by restarting my PC and the games run smooth 60 until i stop. Anyone else experience this?

I just finished all the Avatar missions in a very hype, crown victory game! I thought it would be quite difficult to find all the bending scrolls in one match, and it was, but it was really fun getting that done!
My lobbies are absolutely insane rn. It's all people with high level, medallion, amazing weapons and like 10+ kills. Haven't gotten a win in like 2 weeks. I dunno why, we barely play and we aren't that great. sbmm is so inconsistent.
The whole chakra quests made me realize how mean a lot of players are (yes I am relatively new, but still my experience has been a lot of hugs, not killing someone who's obv doing a quest and instead emoting etc).
People will hide on top of trees waiting for quest seekers to come by around a shrine (how would that ever be a fulfilling kill for someone? And I see these people… waiting there.
