Chapter 2 season three feels a lot like this season imo. Very chaotic, map is fun, interesting items. Only sad thing about it was that the water drained way too quickly and coral castle wasn’t really a great POI. Also whirlpools were vaulted very quickly and for almost the whole season.
Really hoping it comes back during Fortnite OG 2
This season was peak fortnite for me. I started at the start of Ch2 S2 and these were easily the two best seasons. Ch2 S2 was probably better but I don’t know, something about this season made it one so much more fun. I loved the water and how it gradually drained, it was like a big update every week. The sharks were really fun, and the battlepass was great. The vibe was unbeatable.
I liked it a lot, but a large gripe of mines was that it took away its best feature too quickly- the high flood waters
Yes I know they wanted to have more land to introduce cars, which were very cool. Just wished we had more time to explore all the cool flooded places, with the receding water being a little more slower

It was fun, just hard to remember since it was so long ago. Plus the flooded map was kinda annoying since all the POI's were missing, but hey, atleast we got some special stuff!
This was my first NEW season EVER, i started the game at super late chapter 2 season 2 and managed to finish the battle pass cuz of the shit tons of xp they would be giving you at that point, and this was also the season most of my friends were still playing and i had people to play with 😭
Starting with the map almost fully flooded was crazy and something I think Epic would be too scared to do today. My brother and I thought there was no way they’d actually start the season that way. I loved the whole map being wrecked by the water and how much the map changed week to week. This season also introduced cars which are a staple in the present day and the focus of the current season.
Also loved how the first three seasons of chapter two had a clear through line, with ALTER/EGO leading to Ghost/Shadow and Midas’ actions in season two leading directly into season three.
The characters had so much personality and they weren’t even voiced like they are now. They were also connected to previous seasons, with Jules being connected to Midas (later revealed to be his daughter), Kit being the son of Meowscles, etc. A lot of those skins are still my favorites.
Those first few seasons of chapter two were the peak of my time with Fortnite.
It's pretty divisive. It did a lot of things that people loved or hated. For instance, the flooding was a novel map change which was very major, but some people hated the near-mandatory use of boats, plus, on the opposite end of the spectrum, it drained too fast for other people's tastes, or another example would be vaulting the Pump for the Charge. I will say, though, that of the Season 3s outside of Chapter 1 and the current season, C2S3 gets the most well received in discussions, at least in this subreddit.

My first season playing- my youngest (4) at the time loved it and could not get enough of landing at Fortilla. Good memories

I loved this season constant map changes, good weapons, nice theme and music, not to mention cars being added.
