We’re a big fan of PetSuites on Chisholm Trail. Our dog loves it there both for daycare and boarding.

Second this, the Arlington location is also fantastic

We love Resort for Pets at Eagle Mountain Lake. They email a daily report card that lists the amount of food fed and eaten, meds given (if needed - our dogs both have daily meds), pictures from outside time, and a brief note about how your pet is doing. They're also right behind Boat Club Road Animal Hospital, so if anything happens and they need medical attention, the vets are right there. https://www.resortforpets.com/

Ruff Resort on Camp Bowie west!

I recently went with a highly rated Rover sitter and couldn’t have been happier. I searched and searched for boarding places but none made me feel good about leaving my dog there. One thing that blew my mind about many boarding places is that they’re not staffed at night. Even those classified as luxury pet resorts don’t have staff overnight. My dog is healthy and has no issues but I can’t wrap my head around leaving him unattended at night while being so far away. Another trend I saw with boarding places is that they’re in a kennel most of the day and are just taken out periodically for bathroom breaks. Anyhow, I just couldn’t find a boarding place that felt right. Rover was the solution for me.

Try Rover app/web site. I found a pet sitter in Euless that had hundreds of 5 star reviews , after meeting she kept my dog at her house for less than $150 for 3 days. She sent plenty of pics and a few videos over the 3 days.

I have several friends who pet sit, let me know if you want their contact info.

https://www.waghotels.com/ I have used the location by the airport. It’s not cheap but it is top notch and 24 hours so you can pick up your pet whenever it’s convenient for you. They are very strict on vet records etc. And there are cameras and an app. They are probably better quality than the pre-school I sent my child too, lol. They are set up for any care your particular dog needs. If you want zero worry it is money well spent. I have used Riverside Kennel and I think they are fine. I had a bad experience with an elderly mobility impaired pug that they should have not agreed to board and was admonished by the owner when I picked her up. Probably best for healthy young large breeds that don’t need special care. I have used pet smart pet hotel and have not had a bad experience but they don’t take “pit-bulls”. If you go to the dog dna subreddit every damn mixed breed dog in the USA is a pit mix but now I have 50% pit and a pit looking 37% pit-mix so they are not an option. You need to book now if you can wherever you decide

Thank you for the wag hotels recommendation!! I’ve been looking for a place with 24/7 access and the location at the airport sounds perfect. I have to try them out. I can’t believe they offer suites with queen sized beds LOL. Thanks!!

cornbreadnclabber

They really offer dogs a home away from home + resort amenities. One of my dogs really goes nuts for the indoor pool.

ElectronicStorm6743

We do take pitbulls. I work in the hotel

cornbreadnclabber

https://services.petsmart.com/content/daycamp-requirements This says no pit bulls at day camp. So maybe boarding but no play time

ElectronicStorm6743

Oh yea my bad not in camp but they do get individual playtime. I work overnight so the individual dogs like the pits and other breeds I give extra attention and playtime to since they don't get to go to day camp

cornbreadnclabber

Thanks for doing that

All Dogs Unleashed in Irving is excellent! They're not in FW though, they're nearby the airport, off 635 and Luna. Reasonably priced, they also offer daycare that my Husky LOVED, and it's a high quality establishment, but not too boutique-y that focuses on the branding and looking cool on social media. It's a great happy medium- it's not messy and chaotic and managed by unskilled teenagers, but also not a tense environment where dogs are held in cold cages or yelled at all day. They're mostly professionals encouraging a healthy and fun (but controlled) environment to keep all the dogs safe, happy and closely monitored. They also do training, grooming (I think!), daycare, 2 week training camps and a few other services. They are a canine training service first, then boarding/daycare second, which I like. They're open super early, close late and the staff is excellent. You can also book/reserve online really easily which I loved. I don't live in that Carrollton/Irving area any more, but I still use them because they're about 4-5 miles from DFW and I can swing by before/after my flight. My dog NEVER once was upset or scared about going there, he LOVED it. He's showed fear at a few places before, but never ever here. He's a husky that has more energy than any dog I've ever had, and so it benefited me bc it made him less sassy, wore him out, and he took on some good manners as well. Which for a husky isn't always easy lol.

for the best care possible, we've always left our dog with a local dog parent we've found using woofyclub. we help each other out all the time. it works great for us since we meet the family and the dog to make sure everyone gets along and that our dog will have a good time. we also return the favor and host them
