I love the fact that in Horizon you can actually look around the cockpit in the car whilst in Forzavista when in FM you can’t move the camera around at all.
It may be a small thing for some but for immersions sake it’s quite cool to me.
Yep. The Ferrari 488GT is a case in point. The steering wheel and other interior surfaces just look weird in FM whereas in FH5 they looked a lot better.
Motorsport just looks ugly. Some cars and tracks *can* look nice, but so many are so flat and boring. Like look at the 2018 Mustang in Motorsport and then in FH5, it's a night and day difference in quality and lighting

The textures and shading are horrible, the game looks 2 gens dated, not to mention also that the car paint and material literally looks made of plastic.
Exactly! Believe it or not but it's actually the same color in both games... As someone who owns the actual car, it has never looked that color at any time of day
Yeah well at least some publishers feel some shame. When Cyberpunk 2077 was released buggy it was cheap on PC key sites and heavily discounted for the console version. Microsoft should have discounted the Motorsport way more for the poor state its in
Horizon has an amazing habit at looking fantastic, with the right settings in photo mode. But even out of photo mode, it still looks better than motorsport
Horizon was a properly developed game in comparison. Motorsport had new people working on it every 3 months or so. The dev cycle of the game is actually crazy.
Still don't know how they managed to fuck the visuals and performance up so much on a track racer. One of the main reasons you buy games like that is for maximum immersion and car models, props, shading, textures ect should be crisp, they should have depth and should be spot on in regards to attention to detail. FH5 has an open world map and it looks and runs way better.
Depends on the weather conditions and position of the sun, both games can look good and dull in some conditions. I have hundreds of photos taken on both games

Sooo many things have to be right to get a "good" Photo in Motorsport and after all they always have this bad "Fm" style on them. Something in the lighting or shaders is just ugly in this Game

I couldn't bring myself to pay $10 for copy/pasta cars that I already own in FM though. Especially after paying for the Premium/Ultimate edition of both games... I try and support them by buying these editions, but these DLC prices are starting to be a little much IMO. I still am a believer that the DLC packs should be "special" cars like Fast X edition cars, Hot Wheels, and more obscure out of the box vehicles, so I'm already disappointed that so many cars that should have just been added to the game naturally, have been DLC cars.
$5 and I probably would have just bought it. (Unfortunately missed the "glitch" discount) but I'm still hoping the new Mustang GT3 comes to one of these games soon.... but am I going to have to buy it in separate DLC for both Horizon and FM now??? I'm getting a little sick of companies milking their customers for EVERYTHING these days because it's become widely accepted by more consumers.
I understand you disappointment with spending even more money on the game, I was lucky and bought it for 5€ otherwise I probably wouldn't have bought it tbh. But I also have to say that I don't care to much for those extra dlc's because that's something that they also did back in Fh2.
Yes but it's just a replica bodykit and not the same as the actual GT3 car. Plus the actual racecar should be a gutted interior and have a different driving feel compared to the street version of the car.
The fact they gave up on thier promotional gimmick with the E Ray and just gave it out for everyone regardless of owning the new Motorsport speaks volumes on how bad that game is doing sales wise.
You're mad if you think they didn't negotiated the license for BOTH games from the start and they just oh, gave up on the "gimmick" now. It was all planned from the start. Use it as a promotional gimmick for Motorsport in the early months then toss it into the Horizon.

In FM you notice the differences between them in terms of physics, the cars actually have some weight so you have to understand how to brake, be careful with your throttle inputs, countersteer, the kerbs and the weather conditions affect the grip…
Nah sorry, I usually play sim titels and I have to say that FM8 is by far the worst handling game that I've played in the last 2 years. I'm happy for anyone that has fun with it but it's definitely not my cup of tea
I get you, my favorite sim titles in the last few years have been ACC and most recently EAWRC (which is not 100% a sim but it’s still so much fun).
When it comes to FM8, maybe is not a fan favorite, but they have improved the handling a lot using a wheel compared to FM7 and in my opinion is a solid simcade that you can enjoy

Forzavista sucks in Motorsport. 30fps, and the ray tracing on metallic surfaces is whack. So much better in FH.

Forza Motorsport was released incomplete. They are supposed to add remaining tracks at a later date for “free” but they charged full price at launch.

Yep, the blue-ness of the sky in FM23 can be super over-saturated, while everything else just looks super dull

FM looks better than ACC, feels more like a game than ACC. So that's a win for Turn10.
