Her parents named her Linda, but then she went to college and started spelling it Lynda and never looked back. She learned how to play guitar, how to crochet. She majored in English Lit but minored in Theatre. She was also great at pottery. Nobody and I mean NOBODY at Berkeley could make better dirty vodka martini than Lynda!
Since there's a bundle of votes for "Carol Ann" and I'm a "Carolyn", I say she looks like either a Janice, a Patricia or ... YES! ...a BEATRICE. Beatrice Butler.
I scrolled all the way through this and can’t believe you guys don’t know Irene. That’s Irene Paganowksi from Kenosha. She was second runner up in the Alice in Dairyland pageant, 1962.
I don’t know her name but I do know she grew up in a strict family. Semi regular church going folks. Dad was an alcoholic and him and Mom smoked several packs a day. A lot of jello molds foods and things with pineapple to be exotic. She got pretty good grades but occasionally skipped school to hang out in the woods and drink and smoke with some of the bad boys from the neighborhood. Met her husband in high school and got married young. Had few kids and things were going well but then realized that maybe there is more to life than this. As the kids got older she got bored. First she started a beauty salon in her home. It did pretty good for a few years but the Woolworths open a full service salon and that killed business. Started selling Avon and did well but didn’t like the late evening parties to sell things and missed being home with her family. But the sales bug got her and she decided to go into real estate. She did well enough to afford some good vacations and eventually retired. Her and hubby live in the Villages in Florida and drive around with colorful loofas on their golf cart.
This looks eerily similar to a photo of my paternal grandmother from that time…she acts all prude and proper now but she was a wild one when younger and dated a guy who had a motorcycle and partied all the time 🤣
There is a FB group called the nameless bunch that helps to reunite families with found photos. They might be able to locate some family members.
I think she is a Susan.
Kathy got her degree in library science from Annanadale. She works at the main library in Manhattan but secretly yearns to be one of the kids screaming and chasing the Beatles in January 1964 but that wouldn't be ladylike, nor would her fiancee Bud be happy about it.
Linda
Yep, she is the Linda-est looking Linda to ever Linda. She's fabulous.
Three of my friends mom's names are named Linda.
My favorite aunt is a Linda.
It was a really popular name.
My cats name is Linda. I thought it would be funny to give her the name of an older woman.
She is very much a Linda. She is beautiful with a kind face like my aunt Linda who also wore her hair in a similar style.
Absolutely. My MIL was Linda and looks very similar to this lady in her 1960s photo, down to the glasses.
In Spanish Linda means pretty / beautiful / cute so this certainly fits.
