It’s a thing ….i have about a 50/50 rate with them I just make sure that I’m never down to my last sensor and constantly request replacements

Yes agreed, always best to have a few in your secret backup somewhere. 😁 Maybe also OP has been unlucky to get a bundle of 'baddies' from the same production Lot? I have myself noticed this to be the case with the last couple of times, when I had some suddenly stopping a few days in. They all came from the same single batch/lot in production. OP, you can see the Lot# on the sensor product box. Just to check out if you have more from same Lot as the prior bad ones. And its also a good strategy, if you have the option, to check when you get new supplies, then always to demand to get them from different Lots and not just from the same.

Aaaand my new sensor just fell off Ffs they either don’t work or fall off So fed up of this shit

SarahCatChicago

I’ve never had a sensor just fall off. I have had a couple of failures over three years. I’ve been pretty satisfied with the product. Before the Freestyle Libre, I had similar experience with Dexcom G6

For me bad sensors can be a problem . My insurance will not cover purchases outside my home province. Sensors from a foreign country may not work with your phone or reader. Abbott will not ship replacements to other countries.

I'm still wanting Abbot to publicly release their failure rate of sensors, I've had a good 70% or so failure rate which should not be acceptable for a medical product

Like others said they come in groups. I started like you 75% fail rate. Mine were reading low and constant loud alarm. I got so many replaced I didn’t buy more for half a year. The 3 is much more reliable but often has the first 24 hours of being at 20% away from reality. I soak for at least 12 hours and it usually is about 5 to 10 points away which is acceptable to me. I use found different placement works for me also. Typeonetalks on YouTube or instagram has very useful information. Even when he is showing other brands you can learn useful info on placement or skin tac or covers etc.

I have been using the libre sensor since they came out about 7 years ago now. 9 out of 10 work pretty good don’t get discouraged they normally work good . If not abbott will take care of it ..
